These fish are pressured hard with 25 people on the stream every day and the place stays booked. He does stock new fish each day but even those are shy for a while after being thrown in. If you think you'll go there and throw something in the water at those trout and they'll bite it you're dead wrong. I'm heading back on 9/28 and there's one slot left if you'd like to put your money where your mouth is.

I would really appreciate an option for 100% biodgradable, glitter free bait in the future! I'm currently stuck using Powerbait because they have a fully biodegradable option. I simply want this because some stocked ponds in my area have a glittery slick on the surface in slack water areas, and wish to limit my contribution of bioaccumulation of polluting substances.

You guys need to come to Reno NV. do a show fishing on the Truckee river between Reno & Sparks putting your Pautzke bait to the test, its one of the hardest stretches of river to fish with bait if you do not know how to read the river.BUT THE PAY OFF IS WORTH THE FIGHT. for huge browns and rainbows.I use power worms rigged like a san juan worm on a 18inch leader rigged to a slinky weight.the challenge is yours.
It used to be because of the length and action of specifically those eagle claw featherlight glass rods. Like a noodle rod. Longer rod and great action allows you to use lighter lines as the rod absorbs a lot of the fish. Nowadays they make a lot of nice 7 plus foot uktralight trout spin rods so it's more uncommon since spin rods get better casts and such since the eyes are for mono, plus they have a butt on the reel seat. Lol
Golden rainbows. Palomino are no longer stocked and have been replaced by the brighter golden Rainbow. Lots of guys still call them Palomino though. Some guys are real Nazis about it.. especially on the internet. Imagine that. Haha
If you put a bath tub full of trout in your swimming pool and let them stay in there for a week without feeding them how many trout would you catch out of it ? If you fish where no one else is allowed and its stocked big time would you have a problem catching fish? no. You guys try fishing where i live lets see how good you fish and how your bait works. Fishing where i live is a joke rivers and lakes. I went trout fishing a few days ago they had stocked it the day before we went there was about 6 people fishing all down the river and only one person caught on trout. They tell people here they stock Right their stocking is maybe 10 trout about a quarter a mile a part if that many. And if trout eat minnows you be lucky to catch a trout because our rivers are full of Minnows because there are very little fish to eat them. Try fishing here guys.

I love these real fisherman Fluff and Big Boy, their attitude is great, some good ol boys I would fish with. Not some all out pro fisherman that we the average guy are not.
