I started WoT in 2012... there were no guides, you learned by dying over and over in +4 match making.

It was the Churchill 3 that killed you in the first game, not the IKV. I'll put the kettle on.

I started playing a few days ago, but gave up due to players with 20k+ battles spamming gold ammo at me at tiers 3-5.
I like seeing a CC having some of the same struggles I have.
I found, rather than pushing and shoving, simply stop and let the other tank move forward then turn and move to your position.
Just sat down to watch video...Claus should start a series of videos where he plays the tank that killed him in the next video and so-on. Could be rather interesting. Now on with the video. 🤘😎
I'm quite enjoying this series Claus. Being a retired oldie myself (knackered old shit) with a iMAC, 11 years playing the game, I can only afford to play lower and middle range tiers, and my computer can't handle the graphics of higher tiers very well any way. Not keen on the KV1 personally, killed a few in my time in game, got killed by a few as well! That last game awarded you 24 hours premium account, so all was not lost btw!!!!
Duuuuude, T-34 with turbo, binocs, rotation, food, and premium ammo is my Go To for low tier fun!

You talked about changing the size of the maps depending of the tier.
I’ve been thinking along time WOT should decrease all the stats on all the tanks with for example 10 percent. I would make every game and tank closer.
And it’s a really easy thing to do.
The op tanks will have a bigger decrease than lesser tanks.
The problem as I see it is that some tanks and players are too good to be fun.
I thought for sure the Leafblower was going to kill you in the last battle and you would have come full circle.

I 3-marked the KV-1S. When they moved it to tier VI to face Tier VIII premiums, I retired it. I then moved that crew to this tank and 3-marked it.
I remember the glory days of the KV-1S. I remember it being the first truly OP tank you ran into on the tech tree and very very beginner friendly.
@@stephenkutrip6226 It used to be tier 6 but with a broken gun then it got moved to tier 5 and become the best derpster then they moved it again to tier 6 and got ruined.
I miss old wot with derp guns and low hp pools in low tier and mid tiers. Now is not a game worth playing.
I think the M3 Stuart is best beginner tank, especially when you make 1/3 of your ammo APCR. Is great fun. Can learn a lot from the tank making moat of 2 equipment slots, speeding around maps, making use of hiding spots. KV-1 is second best it being slower, having more armor, very different guns, good intro to higher tiers

At top tier the KV1 can be a game changer, I love to take it out of the garage once in a while, anything to steer clear of tier 9 & 10. Interestingly you will eventually get killed by a tier 10. It looked to at the end of the third game that WG programming chose to give the leaf lower a good hit, high damage roll to get the game finished, freeing up server resource. It would be interesting to know if WG have a ‘pay what you use’ arrangement with a server centre…
If you think you see tier10 tanks in a KV1 you are overmedicating.

It has been my observation for several months that whoever (on this Highway" map) controls A-1 and B-1 they will control the field and be able to get across the gap to the enemy's base in no time.
On "Highway" the key to victory 9 out of 10 times is controlling A&B-1

Binoculars are better than vents or turbo or rammer in lower tiers or any other piece of equipment you can mount, unless you get to like 450m view range with optics, which is rare at tier 5.

I think it's great this format, the next tank you play being the one that killed you. You could be stuck in a tier 5 doom-loop haha
I like the 57mm .. you shoot so fast and then you have a higher chance of crits..

09:30 ... the lates patch changed it back to up to 3 SPGs per side. It IS a recent change.
I like the KV1S with the derp. It's less armor, but a bit more agile.
Agreed and that 122Mm gun looks way different i mean skin not by stats much.

T6 medium and T1 Heavy were perfect for my daughter to start with.
2nd battle: MT-25 was invisible for the first half, lighting up the whole team. Could have taken more than 2 shots then.

this tank is great but it becomes so painful to play for getting the third mark and constantly getting into tier 7 matchmaking

The KV-1 was probably the most fun I had in a non-prenerf-SPG I have ever played. Back in beta the KV1 was a blast. Been a while, should give it another go for old time sakes. I wish WOT would create a BETA style server (like WoW classic) so people could experience what that was like.

the kv1 is brilliant, good armour, good rounds, fast reload. only problem is its quite slow

Premium ammo like a MFr and lost. Lower tier games more fun. I want to see you win not using premium heat etc like I do. You may not win a lot but when you do it's EPIC

The KV-1 57mm gun is the best, hands down. It's RoF and DPM are just amazing at Tier5.
glad im not the only one who thinks so.
lately i played mostly VIII, IX and VII and i learnded this Tier V and IV is realy not to easy if you not in this tiers. Maps and tanks allow other possibillitys. so i often fealt foolish in IV and V

I remember being a beta player and playing the original KV tank stock. It was horrible.
