I know I'm a man and all but when it comes to dealing with Whitney no longer being here I'm a crying baby. Whitney you are everything, and everything.....is you.
oh my gosh, when she sang those words "you are everything and everything is you" its like you're transported in a quiet, peaceful place.........WHOA!!!!!!!
She sings so beautifully soft. People don’t realize she’s a spinto. Her vocal warmth flourishes the quieter she gets. It almost, in a way, reveals a soft, more vulnerable side to her voice when she’s not hitting those sheer, metallic high notes. Notice, also, how she sings perfectly in pitch at the spot. She didn’t need practice. All she needed were her ears.
I swear Whitney has that familiar tone and voice that makes you feel like it’s your aunt singing in the kitchen when you go to visit to play with your cousins.
this literally brings tears . I've never ever been distraught over a celebrity until she died. She was extremely successful at a very young age and so fast because God knew. The same goes for Bobbi Christina. This is still very hurtful to me wow
Listen I've been saying the same thing you've been saying I don't care who was before her or who was after her they can't touch her she's just a wonder you would never find this voice again😟😒
She was so darn good and that voice will never be matched again! When Whitney passed on we lost probably the greatest singer that ever lived!! I think now people are realizing that!! RIP sweet voice.
Her voice changed so much over her career.. From the angelic soprano tones, to the full range, rich alto texture.. all of the different, yet amazing vocal maturations that we remember of hers.. One season you'd hear one particular tone, and another on a different season.. To Hear her in Heaven to me would be the combination of all of those tones she had at some point in time ... From the range she lost over the years, to the impeccably deep, and rich tone of voice that she relied on, and improvise with in her later years.. Heavens Restoration for her would be hearing Nippy use her instrument effortlessly within the many unexpected yet still beautiful changes that it went thru over time... To hear that,. all in one body, and at one time and space... Wow.. Because every area of her voice always had something special added to it just as well as it had something taken away from it thru out her career... She was truly one of a Kind!! Rip Nipp
Jermaine Bullock Yes! .. I Said This On Another Whitney Post And I Said No Other Singer I Know Had So Many Changes In Their Voice Like Whitney Sid Someone Tried To Argue That Mariah Voice Changed More But That Is Incorrect.. From 85-87 It Was That Crystal Clear Tone To Her Voice .. Then From 87-89 You Started To Hear The Maturity In Her Voice .. By 1990 Her Voice Was So Rich And Full And Mature .. From '90-93 Her Voice Was Consistent.. Then From 94-95 Her Voice Was Darker (In A Good Way) Much Much More Mature And More Of An Alto Tone .. In 96-99 Her Range Was Limited But Like You Said She Relied On That God Given Tone Which Is Her Trademark! That's Why She Is The Greatest .. To Me Nothing Is More Important Than Tone In Terms Of Singing .. Nothing! And Whitney Literally Had The Greatest Tone I've Ever Heard But Not Only Did She Have That She Had The Clarity, Control, Resonance, Vibrato, POWER, Etc Etc .. She Had Everything Any Singer Would Want Rolled Into One .. She Is Truly The Voice
ASIA Jackson Ikr, before I became A die hard Whitney Houston fan, I used to think light lyric voices, were the most beautiful until I heard the intro for All the Man that I need and I was hooked, I realize that no matter how her voice changed she still had that magical, heartfelt beautiful tone ,can't feel any other voice the way I feel hers. not to mention how beautiful she was.
I also remember it like it was yesterday. I knew she was going to be on, and had my tape recorder ready to record. I was then and am still am entranced by this clip of her astoundingly beautiful voice. It was my treasure to have heard her sing this on a little tv show, and now lots of people can find this and listen to this treasure. It would have been so great if she had sung an album or 10 of these great songs. Her singing was on a whole other level and class than ANYONE else on the radio. She was a brilliant brilliant light. So sad she left us....but so thankful she recorded so much beautiful music. She was a true gift to this world of ours....
OMG! She looks like a Leonine, a female Lion....very accurate since she was born as Leo. She was such a lovely woman back then. So sad to see what damage success and a failed marriage can do to a human being....
So funny when she finishes her first part and Schaffer comes in talk/singing. Reminds me of those scenes in Superman when he takes Lois Lane up into the sky with him. Just the comparison between a normal person getting to be alongside someone superhuman displaying their full gifts.
Rest In Peace dear and lovely Queen! I never heard you singing my favorite song but was sure you love it. Oh Whitney I hope your little beauty is resting with you for ever now.
You & Me both. There were so many songs I wish she had recorded. Top of the list: The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (for Robyn), Send In The Clowns, I Can't Make You Love Me, etc. Love You & Miss You, Whitney. RIP.
Whitney sorta reminds of her cousin Dionne phrasing around softly singing along to the pianio. Reminds of a Dejavu moment when cuz Dionne Warwick does almost this samething with Barry Manilow singing beautifully to the piano and painting her finger nails like nobody business, lol. This was a few years b4 Whitney came along. Check it out. Its on TH-cam.
If you aren't effected by her voice maybe going for a check up is in order. Your may have heart problems. No matter what style of music you prefer, you are missing so much if you can't hear Whitney.
I agree Whitney should have covered this song. As always, she sounds and looks amazing! Why she was paired up with this asshole for this show is something I don't understand. If anyone has an mp3 of the audio of Whitney only (with Paul edited out) I would appreciate if someone could send it to me. Thx

Sthephen oorty She could've taken control of the creative direction and maybe written and produced a few songs. She only sung what what was given to her. The only thing she did often was the vocal arrangements. In my opinion the best Whitney songs are the ones that became singles. She doesn't really have a signature album, they're mostly fillers. I would've loved to hear a song or see a performance with just her and a piano (most people don't know she could really play)
That is nice. I didnt know that tbh. I always felt her albums never did justice to her voice. She was AMAZING live but when it comes to albums I only liked the bodyguard, vocally speaking.
This woman could sing the alphabet and make you emotional with her voice
Famous people hesitated in her presence. She really had no idea how beautiful and gifted she was. 2019 and still missing her 😥
2020 & I'm still listening & definitely missing her!
It’s Tuesday, 02/08/2022 n in 3 Days…. It’ll B 10 Years & I’m still Listening & Definitely Missing Her😪💜🙏….
For anyone who has an ear for tone and beauty in a voice this is for you.
curiousgeorge555 so true
I know I'm a man and all but when it comes to dealing with Whitney no longer being here I'm a crying baby.
Whitney you are everything, and everything.....is you.
What does being a man have to do with crying?
@@mariahyohannes Because society teaches them crying is being weak it's a shame
She was too much of a perfect package, something had to go wrong; but she gave us her best years for sure, we didn't miss anything.
Unfortunately, getting murdered in a hotel became her fate...
That lil run she did with "you" at the end was pure heaven. That tone trumps ALL. #RIPprettylady 💔

Whitney vocals can't be boxed she could sing in different registers and keys she was a vocal athlete
only whitney could acapella that beautiful that effortlessly
I swear Whitney has that familiar tone and voice that makes you feel like it’s your aunt singing in the kitchen when you go to visit to play with your cousins.
I have repeated her part thousands of times now. What a voice so controlled and relaxed. We'll never get this again music
Her voice is like butter.

When I tell you that Whitney slayed that " You are everything and everything is you." Sing, goddess. So intentional, so nuanced, so perfect.
I don't care what nobody says not one artist toda, yesterday or tomorrow can touch this woman.NONE,NONE NOT ONE.SHE IS INCOMPARABLE. PERIOD

Everything that came out of Whitney’s mouth was so magical and angelic
Just gorgeous! Her smile is everything. Oh Whitney. Love her and her music.
I really wish she would have done an album of older standards and classics - could you imagine how beautiful it would have been!!
She can sing yankee doodle dandie and blow down on it! Amazing!
Shamara Davis Thats Funny Because She Herself Said The Same Thing & Sung It
