You are a great representative of the mountains and the area! Every time I watch a new video I get a whole new perspective of how things work up there… keep up the good work
What a small world, I just hiked Hoffman Park for the 2nd time a couple weeks ago. Beautiful area. I’ve been too chicken to drive it because it’s getting so overgrown, really needs some hedge clipper work, and has quite a long stretch with no passing areas. 100% a ghost town each time I’ve been there though. Certainly no conflicts with CDT hikers as you point out. Thanks for saving it. One day I’ll drive it but I’m bringing tree clippers lol
CR230 is an interesting spot. MANY of the hikers using the CDT/CT use the road as a hiking trail. Apparently CDT guide books even recommend walking the road from top of coal creek pass…
For sure, it's interesting. I have seen hikers walking down the road every time I have been there. And it's a much easier descent and a straight shot to the bottom of the road.
Sounds like a nice place to visit, no ATVs assault your senses, one way in and out. I remember several years ago when CPW closed a trail crossing the Taylor River above the reservoir to 4x4s because they were disturbing the rocks altering the pathway of water effecting trout habitat. Any excuse will do, I guess. That's why I am glad you work hard to keep the trails open because many of our disabled and elderly citizens cannot access these great areas on foot like lots of the young hikers who want to limit access for themselves. So, these "administrative" people can have their own private area, I am sure they don't go up there to fish or hunt eh? Glad you were successful, and it is obvious we need to make the effort to contact the government to let our voices be heard.
Thank you Marcus and Patrick! We ALL truely appreciate your efforts!
Absolutely! We are all in this together.

Totally needs some road brushing. Next time we are going to bring the hedge trimmers, too, LOL!
Great job!

Hoffman Park was a win for all public access, no doubt.
