Hi, this is a great pattern, and you explain things quite well, but I wanted to make you aware that there is a "chapters" feature on TH-cam that makes it easy to find the right section that you are looking for. It's extremely useful for people who are looking for specific help interpreting the written pattern as they can just skip to the right section and fine tune from there.
Hello MJ I was wondering if you could design some summer tops. I am in the process of learning how to design my own tops but I'm not there yet. I really enjoy your work a lot. Thank you for all you do and for making your sizes go up to 5x most designer do not do this to them it is easy to just do this or that just saying that you get when you don't to me that is just the designer being lazy. Oh I know it's a lot of work to make a tutorial I use to do and enjoyed it. Most people learn by seeing. Thank you for all you do Hugs
I'll second this, I want to make summer tops and crop tops but all I can find is knitted tops and I'm not a very good knitter yet. Would love to see some crocheted tops
@debbiementz1946 @Toscalily Y'all should check out Yay for Yarn and For The Frills. Yay for Yarn especially because she's an excellent teacher. I highly recommend both.
This is by far the best video instruction (with written instructions FREE) of all the top down raglan sleeve sweaters for children PLUS stitch counts are given for all sizes!! Love it!!
Trying your pattern for my first sweater ever haha can’t wait! I’ve stuck to plushies and small things but I am so excited to make this sweater (in different colours) for my son! Thanks for sharing!!
I love this sweater I bought the kit at Mary maxim I would like to try this sweater with the herringbone stitch I just not confident enough to try without a tutorial
This video along with the pattern is extremely helpful as someone new to crochet. If you could add timestamps in the future that match up with the general steps of the pattern it would be even better. I find myself watching and rewinding over and over again; unsure if I’m at the right spot in the video. But again this is super helpful!
I bought yarn similar to yours MJ but it from Michaels loops & threads in multi blue colour & would like to do a larger size for my grand child in 2-4 size
I'm trying to do the 6-12 months jumper and I am really struggling I've undone it numerous times trying to figure out where I'm going wrong when i get to round 2 i am ending with 74 stitches that's before i do the last st in the chain space so that would then make 75 the pattern says 76 , when i have got to the row needed to do sleeves i have one sleeve smaller than the other so then have to undo whole thing please please help if possible x
@@nagaratnashivallimath7622yes I did in the end I just had to count the stitches on the sleeves front and back and add stitches where needed them , if I remember rightly it was the end sleeve I had to keep adding too to make those correct hope this helps just make sure you count hunni xx
The sleeves are confusing, esp if I finish the body first. The sleeves won't align with the colors of the body. Yet I don't know how to match the sleeves without constantly joining and rejoining. It doesn't look seamless at that point. I wish there was a way to continuously work on the body and sleeves together to look more like the sweaters you've made. I'm using Lion Brand Mandala Baby for this project.
Hi I’ve made the adult one with lion brand. Would love to make this one for my granddaughter. I live in UK and can’t buy this yarn here, is there an alternative yarn I could use? Love your channel ❤😊
I would suggest going through the list of subs from yarnsub.com and see if there is a close match that is available to you❤️ yarnsub.com/yarns/mary_maxim/prism
I’m currently working on this, I just attached my sleeves together with the chain 4. I’m making the size 6 option. So that leaves me with front and back at both 52 stitches plus chain 4 on both sleeves leaving me with what should be 112, BUT the tutorial says to work into the v stitches so it actually leaves me with 116. If I skip the v stitches then I can get 112. I’m not sure if this is a me error or if the v stitches weren’t mean to be included in the working of the body?
You aren’t suppose to print off the blog pattern. It is for viewing on the blog only. If you want a printable a copy you are suppose to purchase the pdf off Etsy or Ravelry
This sweater and the granny stich ones are so cute and easy to make! I bought that pattern for this one and its been super helpful, but my 3-6month sweater looks hugee. Am i using the wrong kind of yarn or something??
Yes, absolutely. I'm nearly done with mine. I used cotton in four colours and made it kind of colour-block with a denim blue tint as the main colour as it's for a boy who will be born in late summer.
Are the 112 stitch count for the yoke only? Or does that include the chain 4 on each side after the yoke? I’m also following along with the blog pattern and I’m a little confused
Really nice yarn and cute little sweater. I was very surprised to see you bind off at the sleeves. There’s no need for that. DC 1 in the first V, chain 4 then DC 1 in the next V. Continue with the DC’s across front then repeat for the next sleeve. DC across back to the first V. I was just totally surprised. No disrespect implied. I love your patterns and tutorials.
I don’t know where I’m going wrong it just seems my count is off everywhere I go. I’m about to scrap this project. I’m so frustrated. Edit: I have changed my perspective and I’m embracing chaos. If it looks like a sweater, then im doing fine. Stitch count be damned!
😢Do you have the pdf pattern? The pdf includes charts that breakdown the stitch count for the front, back, sleeve sections of the yoke for each row. So that you can easily track how many stitches you need to have and troubleshoot where you could be going wrong. If you are loosing or gaining stitches on the body section or sleeves I would suggest using stitch markers. Hope this helps!
@@rachelalexander963 I'm also now working the exact same size and no matter what i am doing my count is off on one side of the sleeves, i have done an adult jumper for my mum and turned out great no issues, with this baby one i dont know where i'm going wrong :(

Thank you! 😊

Can I use 4 ply yarn on this sweater?
Where I can find the chart for ages?

Hello,
Now i can start with the sleeves. Did you use the larger hook for the sleeves?
Thx for this cute pattern
The smaller hook is only used for the bands.
Hi there I was just wondering where I could find the pdf for the pattern🌸
So where is the size chart for this colored sweater? Am iissing something. I want 3 to 6 months
You have to buy the pattern to get the other sizes. The link is in the description.
how do you increase sizes?
Where can I find the bigger sizes please
Kindly make baby girl coat of 12 to 15 months
You say this is a mini version of your adult sweater, but do you mention what size this pattern comes out to be? Childs size? toddler size?
It says in the description that this is 0-3 months, hope that helps
What are the numbers for a size 2year old
How bid for 12 to 18 months
What size is the sweater in the video?
My sweaters all come out waaay too big or way too small. Love making them tho....
Gauge swatch ❤
If I used red heart size 4 yarn, do I need to adjust the gauge?
