Seen this tutorial 2 days ago and already finished! This works up so nice and quickly, already making another I love it so much!! Thank you so much for the tutorial ❤
How much yarn did you need? I have about 800g here.. I wanted to make a cardigan but now I am thinking about the sweater. Do you think it would that be enough ?
Thank you sp much for having a pattern that actually works for people who habe apple shaped bodies. I tried 4 top down patterns and none of them worked that well. I frogged and frogged hours of work and the yarn is now happily and safely worked into this nice sweater. Thank you so so much. ❤
This is the first jumper I've made for myself and I'd just like to say thank you for such wonderful clear instructions... I work better following along to a video than following a written pattern and you made this so easy to follow. 😊😊
Just finished mine this morning and wore it immediately out for a school run. It is very comfortable and perfect for not so warm May mornings 🥰 thank you so much! I made mine with very soft yarn, lion brand, feels like butta, light gray colour. Very soft, warm enough but not too much. Suggested hooks worked great with this yarn. Thank you ❤
I love your video ! It’s easy to follow ! This is going to be my first time making a sweater. I’ve only done hats, scarves, totes, purses and blankets. You make it appear easy! Thank you! Great video!
I love this so much! I'm currently making my 3rd. After wearing the one I made for myself, all the ladies in my life started asking if I could make them one too. 😍 The pattern is easy. The shirt works up fast. It is so easy to alter. I absolutely love it!!
Not only did you showcase your design, but you showcased the yarn as well. I have so many questions of a general nature its exhausting. Now i have a better idea of how to work with the yarn and select yarn as well. Appreciated and thankful. The sweater design seems like a classic to me. Thanks. 😊
I made this into a 2X cap sleeve vest. I used a #3 yarn and a J hook and followed pattern for yoke and body but went straight to bottom band then tried on. My armholes were about tee shirt length so I left as is without band. Absolutely love it for a summer layer over a tank or tee!❤🎉😊❤
you are like... a machine. done with such ease. i feel like i have a view into your mind... like you see in 3d ... spacial reasoning... i feel so intimidated by making garments. i feel like i actually understand the mechanism much better now!!!!!!!!!
Hi MJ, this is my fourth project & I must say that you are Amazing. Thank you for all the beautiful & creative works. I'm sending you well wishes all the way from Cape Town, South Africa 🤩😊
Amazing work. I went to the website to buy pattern and yarn but I could not. Shipping to Italy is too crazy. It would cost me double. I have done the pattern in a different yarn. It was not easy because the yarn was growing in a different way but it was absolutely gorgeous and my husband (usually not a fan of handmade sweaters) told me it was really lovely on me. Thank you so much

@@mjsoffthehookHello I have started my sweater and I am using a variegated yarn. No turning when using variegated yarn, (correct). slip stitch is needed to get to the single crochet hole, here's where my dilemma comes into play. When starting another row I am back where I slipped stitched,. Do I have to continue to slip stitch each time I am starting a new row?
I feel the same way about this tutorial. It’s my first attempt at a sweater and I love the pattern and sleeves. I am currently using just one color but once I accomplish this one, I am excited to try the prism yarn for both my daughter’s sweaters! This by far was the best tutorial I e come across. I liked the hooked by Robin one when I made my first sunflower granny square. She was very good also but this video is giving me the confidence to attempt it!
Oh my gosh, this is adorable! First granny stitch sweater I’ve seen that I like. I actually have some prism yarn which is very random! Plan to make this one!! Thanks MJ!!
I agree, not a fan of granny stitch made this way. It always seems to holey! This one I will make and wear. Then all the kids will be getting them for Christmas. Just my neighbor toddler! Thank you so much MJ
Im so glad theres a video here, Im new to making sweaters so seeing how its being done is really helpful. Plus this was an easy project to whip up in a few days since I needed something last min for a festival
I love this pattern and many of your others that I’d purchased on Etsy. You make every project so enjoyable to make. This is my very first sweater- I’ve been crocheting for over 20 years and had never made one because it’s so intimidating, but you made it easy for me to try one. Thank you!!!
Thank you for this amazing pattern!! Its currently my favorite sweater! I made one in grey and green now I'm making a dark blue one to match my other clothes hahah!! The cropped version is perfect to wear with a dress 👗❤
It's great to see you on Facebook, I love crocheting, I haven't done any crocheting in a while, but seeing your work made me want to do it again, thank you very much, I'm from Brazil, kisses, you gained a follower and a fan.
It is definitely cute!! Looks cozy too. I'll have to work a couple up for myself for next fall. Since I'm a little older and hipper, I'm leaning towards that longer, tunic look, but who knows. I do have my bold moments! LOL
Thank you for the TH-cam tutorial and written instructions. Both are very well explained. I love top down sweater with minimal seaming! I successfully made my first granny square sweater using Lion Brand Truboo yarn.
I really like this pattern, however I wish I would have waited and bought the prism yarn instead of the mandala yarn, only because the color change were longer in the transition.
I hope you get something from Mary maxim. I have bought so much prism I can't even keep track. I made five of the shawls from your tutorial and I'm halfway through this adorable sweater using prism denim. Thank you so much for the tutorials.
I love this , so just went on to Mary maxim site and made my order for the prism in the same colour orchid, I have used that site before but the shipping for the UK is a lot but I have made an exception for this sweater , I do really like your tutorials and patterns.
