@@blujay1294 crypt of the necrodancer actually isnt that hard its just the all chars low% run and coda that are insanely difficult, but i dont know how it is on playstation since i play it on pc, ive recently done the aria low% run achievement and it was tough but doable

Many people will say the most anger inducing games are either PvP games or souls like games but I feel for you on the Cuphead thing, I haven’t played that game but when it comes to platformers I don’t know what it is, but I become consumed with rage whenever I get stuck on one of these games 😂 I’ve refrained from smashing controllers but I’ve been close a few times.
Good vid, some gems here. Surprised that PS3 is a little underrepresented on this list - Gran Turismo 5, Max Payne 3, Metal Gear Rising, Super Street Fighter 4 (though you already have 5), Guitar Hero Smash Hits, as well as Catherine being substantially harder on PS3 than in the Full Body remake just to name a few. Guess a lot of those are technically unobtainable now. Still - PS3 was a brutal era for trophy hunters!
I feel like ps3 and 360 they didn’t quite understand how achievements and trophies were gonna work so they all had insane achievements.
I loved metal gear rising & yeah it was hard but I think vanquish was a tad harder 😂 (seems like platinum games wants people to really put some work in for the platinum trophy)

Awesome list bro. On thing I think most list fail to mention (due to the games being uncommon) are titles in the Shoot Em Up Genre. Check out some of the following: Deathsmiles, Akai Katana, Ikaruga, and Raiden 4. Another that comes to mind is Qbert Rebooted (arcade game) I’ve done Deathsmiles and Qbert and am currently working on Akai Katana at the moment.

Excellent video PlatinumBro. I agree with you about Aliens: Fireteam Elite. Definitely a 9/10 difficulty, even though the PSNProfiles guide indicates it an 8. I too have struggled with Cuphead. Think I will go back to it in the new year. It's a Platinum I would love to have. Incidentally, I tend to disqualify games which have a generic platinum title i.e. "Platinum," "All Trophies Obtained" or even "Platinum Trophy." I like my Platinum trophies to be unique. Anyway, I have played some of the other games featured in this video. Jump King and Super Meat Boy are on my to do list. I got 2 trophies for Crypt of the NecroDancer. One for bumping off the merchant and the other for beating zone 1 with solo Cadence. The problem with Crypt tends to be lag. I know I'm moving on the beat. But when changing direction it says 'beat skipped.' To wrap up, great video and have a Merry Christmas.

@@PlatinumBro Yes, on the second level of Giants in the Earth, the Beta kept healing. It was just myself, him and one regular player for most of the level. I was the only survivor with barely a smidgen of health. Good feeling. I ended up on the exact same level as you did. Funny thing, at the very end when you're destroying those things in the ceiling, my teammates shot ahead of me to the other side of the room. They took care of two of the remaining objects, while I finished off the last one. Then we kept shooting to finish off the remaining waves of enemies. Wonderful feeling when the Platinum popped. I thanked as many people as I could on the road to getting this Platinum. There are some spectacular players out there.
Surgeon SImulator mentioned mmmf surprised i had quite a handful of these games plats. Surgeon is EZ clap with the guide though I made though 😉

@PlatinumBro after I got done with the speedrunning achievements I realized just how insane the A+ requirements were and realized that unlike super meat boy, there was not gonna be any "aha I get it now" moment, it was only gonna be the same agony for another 30 hours
@@PepsieCatSounds strange, but even Surgeon Simulator gets consistent after a little bit of practice (unless the game fucking explodes, and that happened to me several times). The ambulance operations are BY FAR the hardest to A+, while space operations are a joke. In the end, I managed to platinum in 21 hours, and it's still my 3rd hardest platinum 1 year later

I finally got around to watching this one. I'd love to see more list stuff, it's my guilty pleasure kind of content, I'm a sucker for list videos. As I have experience with a fair few of these games I thought I'd randomly nitpick and add some notes. I'm just having some fun adding my contribution to the discussion of the harder stuff so don't take this as any real criticism on your video/choices, I enjoyed it as always :D apologies in advance if this is too much waffle for anyone to bother with lol. It's not all just going to be 'I don't think this should be here' though, I'll include some extra games.
First up, I disagree quite a bit with AvP. The online was a nuisance because it was always fairly dead but for the campaigns/nightmare both the Alien and Predator are really easy power fantasies even on the highest setting. It's only the Marine that has some issues and it's only really 2 specific locations in 2 separate missions. On the whole it's much easier than the likes of, say, Wolf 2 but with the added benefit of also only having chapter permadeath.
Injustice, this is just one that I get needlessly triggered over because I think it's one of the most overrated and misjudged. I feel like it shot to fame as 'difficult' because it came to PS+ in the early PS4 cycle and trophy hunters who were cranking out pretty much every months plats who'd never played a fighting game before got a tad overwhelmed by their first one all of a sudden and with the added spike in rarity that a lot of games around then had makes it seem worse than it is. It's on the easier end of the scale for fighting game platinums. Sure, it's not easy-easy like something like Tekken 7 but there's a lot of 'average fighting games' I'd rate harder than Injustice to plat. There's also quite a bit of misinformation out there that may be making it harder for some people which you repeated in your video so it seems that the common knowledge is wrong but everywhere lol. Things like the idea you have to use Solomon Grundy or Doomsday. Doomsday was an old AI exploit in the PS3 version IIRC which was patched and wasn't even available at all in the PS4 version. If someone finds the game hard using Doomsday it's because they're relying on an exploit that literally doesn't exist! As for Grundy it stems from the assumption of someone, maybe a guide writer? forum poster? I don't know... That basically because he has one of the easiest high damage combos in the game that magically he is the easiest character. These could not be more wrong. I've done the hardest one of the battle modes multiple times and these were FAR from the easiest characters. I don't know who I'd broadly recommend for newcomers exactly but a couple I found really easy to do it with were Cyborg and Batgirl personally. And with the stars in star labs, while there's a lot of missions they're all short and easy (even if the mini games are crappy and janky) and you can avoid 3 starring any difficult ones because there's more stars available than the trophy requires since the star requirement was based on 3 starring all the launch characters missions but they have post-launch characters who all have their own sets of missions so you can easily skip stars or entire missions that you find tricky.
Surgeon Simulator, no real issue with this inclusion but just find it a tad interesting you chose to mention this over I Am Bread. Just often people will usually lump these in together and out of the two the consensus is that Bread is harder so people tend to mention that more often.
Bleed, just a correction maybe. I think you looked at the Asian stack for your numbers as you said 4 achievers. EU is 38, NA is 30. It's debatable whether 1 or 2 is harder, but I will say 2 is the better game at least. I have both and they're pretty cool games so it's nice to see these niche games get the mention.
Hollow Knight, just the obvious note that whilst it is hard to do it's hard to view it as an especially hard platinum because it's commonly known for an invincibility exploit. Killing every boss in a row ain't so difficult when you literally can't die xD I did it legitimately and yeah, it's a fairly tough endurance challenge. To be fair it's mostly the last boss (not gonna spoil lol) and not being able to really practice and have another shot at it without slogging through all the others to get back there.
DMC5, I would personally rather opt to include DMC4 instead. Out of all DMC games (I'm excluding the reboot) DMC5 has the easiest S ranks of the series. Only 4 & 5 require all S ranks for the platinums though, so by default I'd say that makes 4 the hardest DMC platinum. But... since someone you know has the platinum (allegedly, he doesn't mention it often) it's probably for the best to give 5 the spotlight ;)
Binding of Isaac, this can also be save scummed but unlike Hollow Knight it isn't especially difficult without it. One of the best roguelikes of all time and actually fairly accessible as far a roguelikes go. The base game platinum isn't anything crazy (especially with gameplay tweaks made over time with patches/DLC), it's more the 100% that can take a lot of time and effort. That being said, it is still longer than your bog standard platinum as that's usually just what happens with roguelikes a lot of the time, they want you doing lots and lots of runs.
As for games I'd liked to have seen have a mention I feel like there's a lack of SHMUP representation. Games like Ikaruga, Dariusburst, Deathsmiles, Raiden. Funnily enough Ikaruga had an earlier Xbox achievement list that was already considered a 9 or 10/10 difficulty which required A rank in every level and a 1CC run... Well... The PS4 trophy list decided that wasn't enough and wants S++ ranks in every level, still asks for a 1CC but also wants a 1CC in local co-op, good luck if you don't have a skilled friend and need to solo with 2 controllers lol.
Another commonly talked about game for difficulty that feels absent is Assetto Corsa, a game which unless you have a good amount of racing simulator experience can be an intense hurdle to overcome. Speaking of driving games though, I often see people bringing up Trackmania Turbo and the newer Trackmania release too. Personally I don't think they're that exceptional and obviously they pale compared to something like AC but they're still pretty tricky at times on the late tracks. In a similar vein some people feel the same with the Trials games (though only Rising has a plat and it's a bit easier than some of the stuff in Fusion).
And I left this to the end so people didn't get upset immediately and not read further... Bloodborne, eww, nope. FromSoft difficulty is overrated IMO and I'm sorry if that does upset anyone I'm not trying to be controversial lol. I'm not attempting to boast nor downplay anyone else's struggles with these game and it's such a subjective subject but I think they're not especially standout compared to other AAA games on their normal difficulty. It's just that they don't have difficulty options so if someone were the type who rather play on easy then... well... RIP. I personally wouldn't be offended if they had an easy mode, but I know that triggers some of the elitists out there lol. I think the high achiever rate really shows that whilst they may not be ez-pz there's still loads and loads of people getting these done without too much difficulty.

I loved this video although there is a game I think should be on this list, definitely a 10/10 in my opinion called Kyurinaga’s Revenge. This is a good list, and there are so many other incredibly difficult platinums that you could put on here if you wanted to as well. Grand Theft Auto IV and V come to mind (less than 1% of people on PSNProfiles has them, and around 0.2% overall).. or Max Payne 3, which has multiplayer trophies that might be unobtainable now. Personally, I’m relatively new to trophy hunting, but from this list, I’m hoping that I can eventually get Hollow Knight and possibly Evil Within as well.

I have the Bleed and Bleed 2 platinums! Bleed's difficulty comes from having to beat arcade on very hard, which means you have to beat the game without dying and your health carries over each level. Theres no healing in bleed 1, but there is in bleed 2 making it easier. Theyre both amazing but underrated games and i highly recommend them !!

i got the platinum for wolfenstein 2 a couple months ago. it was definitely one of the hardest things i've ever done. it took me 248 hours and upwards of 100 attempts. I love the game to death, but the amount of bugs and the inconsistent enemy AI almost got to me multiple times. i hear a lot of people talk about how the beginning is the worst part because of the unskippable cutscenes, but honestly the entire game becomes kind of a cutscene at the 200 hour mark

honestly i don't know. i don't regret doing it and am continuing to go for hard plats (currently dmc 5), for most people i'd say that it isn't worth it but most people don't go for plats anyway. whatever feels right imo. as long as you're able to kind of just zone out and not rage when you die, its definitely doable. for me i think it was definitely worth it tho@@PlatinumBro
Fun list, and always glad to see street fighter make it in. I just wish people in the community would try actually playing it foreal past the trophies though, instead of just trying to use it as a bragging tool or whatever. Getting 'gud' at these games are far more fun and rewarding than any plat imo, even the ones considered hard

I've got MGS2 and Cuphead... yeah, those are quite hard... I have a friend who has five of these, not sure how.
I think a nice video idea would be something like "most ABSURD platinums" - stuff with some wild grind, or very weird trophy lists. Or ones which are impossible without a guide due to being too cryptic, or ones with way too many missables, ones which take way too long time, online-dependent trophies which require you to be in top % of players on a leaderboard, stupid RNG (Cat Fight in Injustice 2) or something like "Ultra Hot!! Pachi Game Spirit "CR Evangelion ~The First Gospel~" which is just a slot machine game based on Evangelion that takes 1000+ hours due to RNG... lots of ideas for that.
Hang in there with Cuphead. The run n gun levels are a pain to do pacifist, but it's a game of pattern recognition and timing. It's very satisfying when you get through a boss on expert. Plus with the DLC there are some new weapons and a character that make the runs a little easier. I have maybe two platinums from that list. Cuphead and MGS2, they are some platinums I am proudest of.

My hardest Plats may be:
Final Fantasy 7 Remake - Managing MP with some of the Boss Fights makes this game pretty difficult for me.
Kingdom Hearts 2 - The Lingering Will is one of the hardest secret bosses in my opinion. Pretty grindy for synthesis.
The Witcher 3 - The first 10 levels can be pretty challenging until you gain more skills.
Uncharted 4 - There are some chapters I spent hours trying to beat on Crushing.
I don't think I have any other really difficult Plats.
FF7r is a blast to platinum, was a great descision to do it before part2 comes out. But mannnnnn the pacing in the last part of the game is a snooooooze on the second playthrough

Hardest Platinums for me were any of the "Agarest War" RPGs, X-Com, Beatles Rock Band, and Rock Band 2. Good list!

Proud owner of bloodborne, DMC5, and street fighter 5! Def out of the 3 i've done the hardest was DMC5, I really do need to buy the bloodborne dlc and go back for the dlc trophies just because of how much i enjoyed the game really.

I've gotten every achievement on the crash n.sane trilogy on about 4 or 5 different accounts now. But crash 4 is a different beast entirely. Haven't even attempted it!

As a person who has platinum a couple of this like SMB, Splasher, and Wolfenstein 2, I can definitely say this list is accurate. Mad props to all the people who were mentioned here as they were a big inspiration for me on my trophy hunting :')

@phantommarcus8392 For me, Splasher was more difficult, although it took me less than SMB 78hr to 67hr. But Splasher, at the beginning, you feel like it's impossible for the time attacks on each level and SMB it's just patience and replaying until you completely master the levels 🫠
@PlatinumBro I'm on it right now 😅 but I'm taking my time on this one as it seems for me sooo much harder than any platformer platinum so far. From those 90 people or so that have the platinum, I've bet not even 15 of them did it legit as it's a nightmare and most used savescumming 😒
The only game on here that I've done is "The Evil Within". The original PS3 version at that, which apparently is a bit harder than the PS4 remaster. While definitely hard, I do think it's more on the manageable side. It's really a matter of familiarizing yourself but that does require a couple of playthroughs, especially if you save AKUMU mode for last.
Besides that, uh..."Cuphead" is in my backlog. Will be trying that at some point. Might try "Hollow Knight" one day but I'm not too sure I will.
When it comes to fighting games, I can definitely think of a couple that would qualify more but really, to those who don't regularly play fighting games, they all are a struggle. Heck, I'm somewhere in-between decent and terrible and I have a rough time with some of them.

@PlatinumBro ps3 version. Doing the vr missions takes time. Most have a simple solution. Doing the game on extreme is easy since you can use stealth and the bosses are broken if you know what to do.
Ps5 version. Big boss is hard, but isn't that hard. There are guides on area solutions. They made the vr stuff easy on the ps5
I think Outlast 2 does deserves a place on your list but altogether that's a decent list.

I Am Bread needs a mention on here. Same team as Surgeon Simulator and just as janky with the physicals. Been stuck on getting A++ rank on all the cheese hunt levels because of the stupid outdoor one with the koi pond. Landing your little cracker on that leaf and then getting off is near impossible to do in the time they expect.

Achieve 3 ONLINE belts in different weight classes… so utterly brutal & broken there are stories of people PAYING money to get them… IMPOSSIBLE to achieve when servers were up

Weirdly enough for The Evil Within, I have every trophy except for nightmare difficulty and Akumu. For the sequel, I only need Classic difficulty. When I did the speedrun trophy, I did it with 5-ish minutes to spare mainly because I did most of the trophies on casual and had the unlockables like the rocket launcher. Akumu is something I'd never touch unless I was a content creator and was paid to do it, no lie. I know it seems scummy to say that, but I don't need anger issues at my age over games.

Funny video and it was nice that you mentioned the most solid youtube plat hunters out there! However the title is very misleading...there is no way these are the hardest 25 platinum trophies. Sure they are hard but they are not the hardest. Some are obviously correct like Crypt, Wolfenstein 2, Splasher, but there are too many inconsistencies. Crash 4 is not even Top10 but how can he not be here when Crash Team Racing is? Another example is Jump King and Hollow Knight, there are exploits/PS Plus Cloud Saves that you can use that trivialize the difficulty. There is yet to appear someone who makes an accurate video about this topic.
Questions like...which hardest 2 games sit on the Podium with Crypt? Well, it's definitely not Street Fighter 5 hahah there are dozens of fighting games even harder than that, such as Marvel vs Capcom 3.
Can't even believe some games like Trackmania Turbo, Trials Rising and Super Meat Boy Forever (which is harder than the original) are not even here. And like other people already said, there are too many PS3 and PS Vita harder games missing.
I could go on but there is no point, the video was entertaining so thank you anyway. This is just something that I'm really in to and it's sad to not see a solid list anywhere on TH-cam.

I actually have a good chunk of these platinums. In Injustice, Doomsday and Solomon Grundy aren't required for battle mode. I managed to do it all with just Harley Quinn.

Also you can use ms chalice(dlc) it makes the game easier to platinum imo.
My hardest platinums have to be MGSV, kingdom hearts BBS, star wars battlefront 2, the resident evil remakes come to mind but probably the one that gave me the most emotional damage was probably DMC5 😅

Not a hardcore gamer here and haven’t played most of this list, but I have gotten the Platinum for Cuphead. Hardest game I’ve ever gotten it on for sure.
Crash 4 is harrowing. I love the game, but the idea of trying to platinum it makes me ill. I can’t imagine I will ever do better than 85% on the game.

@PlatinumBro like I said, it was so bad, it negatively tinged the whole Aliens franchise of games for me. Lucky Alien isolation was a master piece which made me give Fireteam Elite a go. Your review of Fireteam was spot on. It was hard but rewarding, especially when you work well with your team.
There is a fighting game out there that makes the fighting games on this list look like childs play when it comes to earning the platinum. It is called Koihime Enbu Ryo Rai Rai, I know someone who beat Street Fighter 5 and at least half a dozen other hard fighting games but he said he wouldn't ever touch this game. It far exceeds any game on this list in difficulty and disgusting grind combo aside from Crypt Of The Necrodancer, which admittedly has no equal and will likely never have one.

Hardest platinum in terms of difficulty rn is definitely DMC5 SE, but once I finish DMC 4 it’ll be that for sure (so fuckin annoying). In terms of time investment tho I have both RDR2 and RDR1 (PS3), and those are the most grindy by FAR. Red dead online is soul draining.

@@PlatinumBro yes definitely, dmc5 can be quite hard but it is a very well balanced game that is still fun 99% of the time. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a challenge. DMC 4 though is an unfinished game with annoying enemy and level design that becomes infuriating on the hardest difficulties.
Dmc4 is only harder because of Trish and the other girl in the bloody palace
Bloodborne was a hard platinum but the game is so good you don't care. 3 playthroughs plus chalice dungeons and dlc. Doing dark souls rn

@@PlatinumBroIt's a twin-stick shooter in a scifi setting. If you have the opportunity play it. It's just a few hours long, but getting the platinum is a lot of fun and very challenging. And you will definitely enjoy the music. Too bad a few trophies are annoying/tedious.

Bloodborne and stellar blade was the quickest and less boring platinium i've made and the worst one i did was persona 5... omg i still have nightmare to this day
If you use a guide just for the missables and use the code to go straight to the Pthumerian Queen dungeon then Bloodborne should only take you about 30-40 hours even on your first go

At least i got bloodborne and CTR platinums from this list, i started playing crash 4 and the first time in my life i though I'm not good enough to get this platinum.(i have all the crash trilogy platinums) but 4 is just on other lvl 😢

@@PlatinumBro It's not too bad. Most of the trophies are pretty straight forward, there's just one that requires a very specific build to avoid the one-hit kill mechanics of one of the bosses.
The only reason so many people have the bloodborne platinum is because of co-op you know damn well the percentage would be way lower if you couldn't get help
