If the shingle is not detached is not considered as a wind damage State farm adjuster said, which I disagree bc shingles were loosen!!any help in that?

So you think it would be worth it to file a claim on possible marginal damage? Worse that could happen is the adjuster denies the claim? I was with my regional manager inspecting a couple roofs together because I'm new. He identify they had some wind damage on a couple shingles but he told me that he is not confident in contacting the insurance for this type of damage (also had a weak deck). He told me I'm in the right ballpark and keep looking, but it's discouraging cause it seems finding damage that my manager specifically is looking for could be a challenge in itself. Thoughts?

I strongly recommend sending all older shingles through insurance. I get very little damage approved because the shingle cant be matched or repaired. Valley metal, box vents, aluminium ridge. Anything that will need a few shingles covered, than off to ITEL. Even if the insurance refuses to buy or low balls, your homeowner has emotionally bought a new roof, pitch a quality roof and close. i run into retails deals all the time where a roofer did all the work of filing a claim and the insurance wasn't buying and instead of offering a retail price they disappear. I have knocked on a door , 30 mins later walked out with a check and collected the final check 3 days later when we installed the roof. Retail money is fast

There’s no such thing as a brittle test because brittleness of a shingle depends on many factors

There is no shingles on the market that are actually lifetime shingles
