Only non political acceptance speech was Tom Hiddleston and did you notice he got torn apart for what he said? He dedicated his award to MSF/Doctors without Borders doing work in South Sudan. He was criticized for that and Meryl was praised for her craptastic speech. What a world we live in when a celebrity actually uses their platform to praise the hard work and sacrifice of people who are actually making a difference and gets torn apart for so much he felt he needed to apologize.
That's one of the reasons I'm a huge fan of Tom. He does a ton of charity work and, to the best of my knowledge, has made a point not to get involved in politics like his counterparts. He's one of the few actors that I thoroughly enjoy both his work (because he's very talented in my opinion) and his values as a person.
