Great Sherp Expedition To The East

A big SHERP ATV expedition “To the East!” from Archangelsk to Anadyr, and further to America (in 2019), has started in spring 2017. First part of the route is taking place on off-road terrain in the polar summer conditions. After a technical break during which the team will go back to the mainland, the expedition will go across Bering Sea, that washes the coasts of Russia and USA and continue its way to Alaska. The entire expedition will be done on the SHERP ATVs (10 wheel unit). The beginning of the second part of the expedition is planned for the beginning of the 2019.

Now the question is, how much fuel spent in the whole trips?

I believe they operate on around average 3L of diesel per hour loaded up.. so you can estimate roughly 192 days x 12 hours per day = 2304hr per SHERP.. x 4 SHERPS = 9216hrs. x 3L/hr = 27,648L of diesel. At about 0.64USD/L in Russia for diesel as of like Oct. 2020, that would be approximately 17,694USD of fuel consumed for the trip. Just my estimation.
