Simply outstanding. Was RPO1 in Drill Company 928 and Drum Major in 1978 and returned for two "C" Schools. I loved NTC/RTC San Diego, many great memories there. I am glad it is a thriving community after closure.
Company 158 Feb. 19-May 14, 1964. Company Commander MMC James A. Hanley, Jr. I considered going back for a visit about 5 years ago but after communicating with several people who had already been there, I decided to just leave my memories intact. That was a defining time in my life and I didn't want it messed up with "'progress".
Loved my short 4 years in the US Navy wish i would have stayed another 20 or so , Was in Co. 075 april/june 1984 , Served as an Aviation Ordnanceman in the then new F-18 squadrons , Happy 100th RTC/NTC never will forget my time there !
