shane here's a tip for playing cod mobile without mapping bottons with any type c gamesir controller. first connect any xbox wireless controller via bluetooth to your device/smartphone. now simply place your device inside your gamesir controller start cod mobile and in the pop-up window you'll be given a choice to select what controller you are connecting (backbone-ps4-ps5-xbox wireless controller) select xbox wireless controller. now you can play cod mobile as if you are playing with a xbox controller. cod mobile only supports the four controllers i mention above. i play cod mobile with my ps4 controller or my gamesir x2 pro controller daily. i'm planning on picking up the g8 galileo tomorrow. don't forget to go into settings in cod mobile and scroll down to controller. there you will see that your controller is connected and the buttons layout.

I believe the original Gamesir X2 did that, and got a lot of criticism for it.
I'd prefer the plug to not be fixed in one place, so the controller could be used with any device in landscape or portrait. I guess it'd have to be on a cable and would probably look less tidy, but I'd take that for the increased versatility.

I glad that gamesir finally made a game controller that has a headphone jack instead of relying on inferior bluetooth audio, but at least bluetooth is still optional for those that want to use bluetooth for audio. I have the regular backbone controller that I use for my sony xperia 1 iv android phone. I wish there was a way to map buttons for games for the android version of the backbone controller without paying for a subscription service just to use certain features for the game controller. Backbone is the only brand that requires a monthly subscription service just to use certain features. I used to use the moga power a pro controller but the app for the moga power a pro controller has never been updated to support the recent games and is still stuck with the older games. I really like the built in battery on the moga power a pro controller to charge my phone from the usb a port, but I wish it was a standard that all game controllers have a built in battery to charge your own phone or for playing extended game play. Having a battery built into a game controller is better than having no battery built into a game controller since it won't drain your owns phone battery compared to just using a controller that is attached to your phone or using bluetooth that has lag and more battery drain from your own phone. For example, the game pad for the moto mod for the moto z line of phones has a battery built into a game controller and the game pad is not that bulky and uses magnets. The game controllers could have the similar form factor and functionality as the moto mods and they don't have to use magnets unless they use magsafe as an optional choice but make the game controllers universal for any variety of phones even for folding phones. I have the jbl sound booster moto mod for my moto z4 and the magnets are very strong and it's very easy to use and remove since it's literally just plug and play.

This is a fantastic controller! Way better than the backbone. I love the Gamesir X2, however its only flaw is that it become very uncomfortable quickly. I played the Witcher 3 via PS Remote Play for about an hour on the G8, then did some GBA emulation for about another hour and was not even close to being done. It felt great! Only one minor issue...the d pad is almost directly under the left joystick. It should be a little more to right so its at a better angle. Its a small gripe, seriously. Go buy this controller today.
