Will I be run out of town if I comment that I hear the Bjorling luster in Swensen's voice? He's got to be the most under-appreciated tenor. I'm aware that he's known as a teacher/educator, but he's a fabulous performer.
It's pure delight listening to you Robert, a thrilling experience from the first tone on. What tenor brings such expression in a high C? I've discovered you searching for a good performance of Bach's "Ach, mein Sinn" and I found the best ever! For me you have completed Fritz Wunderlich's vocal life, I can imagine he would have sounded a bit like you nowadays. Fantastic also your interpretation with the fantatic Roberto Abbado conducting. Thanks BellyBoy Bob for sharing this wonder with us.
@marlyharris correct, he sounds somewhat like Bj, more like Calleja. Alfredo Kraus spoiled this aria for me, no one sings the high C like Kraus or the rest of the aria for that matter.
Endless elegance, beauty, warmth and intelligence in one voice. one of the best Tenors of the 20th century in my opinion.

Beautiful singing and vocal expression and very sensitive playing from the orchestra.
What a wonderful voice! I can't believe that I haven't heard of him before
