Thanks for this video. This is so confusing and it is very clear. Your are a great teacher. And thanks for the high contrast beads , I'm a visual learner and need "all-the-helps".
Love this technique. I'm going to assuming that for your blue and silver version, you start by loading 1 blue, 2 silver and 1 blue. Right? Then load them the same way each time to get 2 on each side right?
Yep that's the pattern. Have fun, and if you need any more help we have a project page for this bracelet with photos of the finished piece and written instructions to supplement the video: beadaholique.com/products/quilted-sky-bracelet
Love this technique. Have loads of 2-holed beads. Esp. like your blue and silver example. Wondering what your first row loaded looks like. Looks like 1 blue Sduo, 1 2mm round (druk), 1 silver Sduo, 1 2mm round, another silver and round and finally 1 blue Sduo and 1 round. Guessing it's the size of the round that makes the overall width of the blue and silver sample wider than the example you made in your demo. Right?
Yes, it is the size of the round that will help determine how wide/open the weave will be. In my experience, the 2mm druks do fit nicely and you have a lot of excess thread showing thru. Here is the full tutorial that goes thru how to pick up the right beads: www.beadaholique.com/quilted-sky-bracelet.html
If I wanted to do this pattern with seed beads, what size seed bead would be good to use? I have 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads and I don't know which of those would be best, or even if I should get another size of seed bead to use with this pattern.
You can use the triangles in many patterns, however what you are going to want to be aware of is how the two hole triangles are flat and the SuperDuos are rounded in the center. So you many need to adjust the size of seed beads/other beads you are using in the pattern. Also keep in mind that SuperDuos are 2mm x 5mm. So using beads that are 6mm will give you a different look.
I tried this because it looked straightforward. However after three rows, it was a complete shambles and I had to undo it. I can't tell when it's the correct bead to pass through!
Hi Cheryl, we don't have a necklace version of the quilted sky bracelet but if you're looking for a tutorial for the bracelet you can see our full instructions here: www.beadaholique.com/quilted-sky-bracelet.html

Beadaholique thanks so much for sharing the link and answering my question so quickly.
Love this
appx. how many beads min. should I have to make a bracelet?
love this! is is possible to make it thinner width-wise by just starting with less than 4 of each on the first row? like 2 or 3?
I don't know about just 2, but you could do it with 3. Doesn't hurt to try though.
Can u make this a wrap bracelet?
Looks awesome. I love the rulla beads. Do you have to use Fireline or will KO thread work? Thank you for the tutorial.

I would recommend using the 11/0 seed beads with this pattern. The 15/0's will be too small.
How would you do a two row herringbone it would make a wonderful necklace?
I believe it would be a very similar technique. I'll see if I can do a video to make a necklace version.
cant get this to work. too hard to keep the beads as shown.
can you tell me which type of super duo projects i can use 2 hole triangle beads 6mm,Thank You

OK I tried again with three colours, one colour per row, and it helped me know which bead to use next. Whew!
