    Love how humble you are Ronen. You don't act like you are perfect. In fact, you show us you're still learning as well on your level of experience. As a student of the accordion and searching for a tutor, you are the prospective mentor through your website. I just love that you have the heart of a teacher.

      Thank you, Izzy! I really enjoy the freedom of being honest about my music. There's a time for perfection, and a time for emotion and musicality, and I tend to learn towards the latter 😊 Thanks for the kind words.

    What model of accordion is this, is it a good accordion? Thank you.😊

      This is a Camillo accordion. I like it. It was affordable, available, and I like its sound.

    Thanks for this! Going to try it.
    I do tend to transpose music for ease of playing on instruments with limited range. These exercises can really help.

      Yup! Really helps when transposing.

    • @Nilslos

      Yes, especially also when playing for example a 72 bass accordion and the song you want to play would require like bass jumps from the top to the bottom of the bass keys. Luckily, transposing the bass in the stradella system is kind of easy.

    Please does an accordion have a B key?

    • @moshezuchter
      @moshezuchter  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yup! It (should) have the entire scale on the right hand.

    Thanks ! Going to start incorporating this into my practice. I haven't started using chords on the right hand yet - still a 1 finger player lol. This will be good to start branching out! Now I gotta go find you playing Pachabel's canon, cause that sounded awesome!

      Yeah, give it a try. Here is the Canon video: th-cam.com/video/wH1vHv9-Lo8/w-d-xo.html

    Very useful video! Just wondering what are the chord positions on your left hand if you play Stradella bass C Major and Stradella bass G Major chord? Is it like as you played the right hand: C in root position, G in first inversion?

    • @moshezuchter
      @moshezuchter  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure I understand your question.... in general I use the same fingering for every chord.
      Fourth finger on the root (C), and third finger on the major (C major).
      Second finger for everything else (e.g. C minor, C7, etc.)

    • @kazohin
      @kazohin 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@moshezuchter I meant the arrangement of major chords: For example C major chord (in the 3rd row) sounds like a C, E, G or E, G, C, or G, C, E. Since then I've found table, not sure if that's always true... ibb.co/z7wDcZx

    Hi I have a question if you don't mind. I had lessons when I was a child. I liked it but forgot everything and would like to take it up again in retirement. Choices in music stores are limited. What accordion would you recommend to buy online. I'm a big man so I think a lot of students accordions may be to small.

    • @moshezuchter
      @moshezuchter  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Wayne, I think a good choice maybe to either find an accordion teacher in your area, or find a music store that will let you rent an accordion for a few months. This way you could try an accordion before you buy. Otherwise, I would recommend a piano accordion. 72 bass and upward would be a good idea and fit counts for a lot. Meaning even for a big person, 60 bass accordion can be comfortable fit, as long as it's sized properly and hangs while on your shoulders. The best thing to do would be to go into a music store that carries accordions if possible.

    Thank you for your very didactic videos. I understand the exercise, but I kind of hate that I feel that there is no convergence between exercises and music performance. I mean that practice always sounds like practice and playing sounds like something completely different and it frustrates me a lot. I wish that practice felt more like playing songs.

    Heavily inspired by the "I've been playing this song for 20 years" video (th-cam.com/video/wH1vHv9-Lo8/w-d-xo.html)
    Does anyone else do these exercises? What's your favourite "Waiting for the water to boil exercise"?
