Rob Curto (Liberty Bellows Artist in Residence Fall 2016) wants to help your accordion get its groove back! This series is designed for all levels of players with the aim to learn a new groove style, add a melody, and apply improvisation techniques to unlock your inner composer. The online lessons are designed to supplement individual or group lessons which are offered at our store in Philadelphia or online via Skype. Dude, thank you for specifying Zydeco instead of Cajun. Almost everyone outside of Southern Louisiana considers it the same. These are two very different styles of music with different influences. Good job.
Sais-tu distinguer la faux de la faucille ?
@@miroirs-jumeaux Exactly. Even the scythe and the sickle are closer in relation than Zydeco and Cajun.
Beautiful accordion
You made that easy to understand. Thanks.
these Beltuna accordions are very nice units..now accenting in many colors
When I learned to do a blues riff my teacher taught me to do everything you are teaching with my left hand.... leaving my right hand free to do a totally separate melody.....
Well, it's not exactly that simple. The approach you suggest can be fine and beneficial for solo work. The voicings that are being shown in the right hand here, however, are not exactly the same notes that you get when you play a left hand chord button. You may also not get the same weight and feel on the main bass note. Note how he mentions "the effect" of separating the parts into two hands. The approach shown here is very useful in a band format when you need to be part of the groove, and, of course, Rob is setting you up for the next lesson when the chords get embellished.
I HAVE AN ACCORDIAN. BUT I CAN'T PLAY SYSTEMATICALLY
THIS LESSONS VERY USEFUL...THANK U..!!!!
Good video, excellent speaking voice. My only request would be a quick sample of what the music will sound like in the beginning so I have a better feel for what we're working towards. Thank you though I'll definitely be practicing this.
(Just skip ahead on the video)
Yeah I agree, if 7:02 and the 20 seconds thereafter were edited into the very beginning, then the end goal would be more obvious as the building blocks are introduced. The instruction itself is really great though.
Nice lesson 👍
Merci Beaucoup pour les leçons !
Tks for good instruction, Rob! Very usefull!👍. 🇳🇴
wunderbar einfach erklärt. Danke!
thanks for this i am ultimately looking to play rock and roll peices like bill haley but this is another step in the right direction i have purchased prince louis rock and roll but am still struggling look forward to more uplouds
Good lesson... learnt a lot... cheers
Hi Rob from England. I find your style excellent, so thank you for that. Some chords I have to change fingering as my fingers are big and the keys small , I hope it shouldn't screw things up...should it ? Brian
Your teaching me things I would never figure out on my own
I have a Beltuna too. 👍🏼 I have played that long time ago so now I have to practice again. 😄
Great lesson! I glad I found it. My appreciation!
Great lesson! I have a Titano (1960's) plays beautiful. (I'm awful but trying to learn. 🤣) Is this a good brand?
Awesome lesson.
Some of my bass notes are in the wrong octave though.. I have flaps/buttons on my titano that change the sound a bit, but feel I'm maybe justmissing the button that will change my setting to get the walking feeling
Only recently found the air release in the diminished button at the top 😂
Any idea?
I think you can read manual and find some information there
this kind of music will always remind me of Ed Edd n' Eddy
Would the be considered a beginners song? Im just learning to play the accordion and am having a little trouble getting both hands to play in sync
Slowly making my way through this ~7 minute video... learning as I go.
Thank you for posting this.
Love your lessons. A great help.

Any idea on what chords I can use to play Mexican Polkas? Or Tejano?

is it an important mistake to play the F7 with my second finger on the Edescented and not the first? I think it's more comfortable..

Damn Good Job!!!
Wish I started out,, lovfing Zydeco, but the Cajun box grabbed me by the balls.
Ha ha!! Both, Cajun and Zydeco need to keep their music alive and growing, so you are serving a much needed purpose.
Italiano
fuck yeah brazil
This is why you hire bass players.
You don't have the spirit to play our Black-American Źydéço and Blues music cultures.
Tu n'es même pas noir, arrête tes niaiseries !
