Urza's cave really is nuts for an uncommon land.
Makes setting up Urzatron a lot easier.
The entire world: Why are MH3 product prices so high, almost double a normal set?
WOTC: Because even the uncommon go up to $8, and the set is full of high value cards.
Also WOTC: Refuses to take notice of secondary market
Yet the community is setting these stupid presale prices. 😂
the uncommons are only so expensive because the set it expensive

Please dont preorder. Every single card right now has an incredibly overinflated price. Cards that absolutely will not see play are floating around $30.
Speak for yourself. I was about to get flare of duplication for $5 Six for less than $10, borderless jet/emerald medallions for less than $10.

Coliseum's probably about to stay up there because they'll be a hard staple in dredge and mill.
Null Elemental blast is busted in commander. Nearly every Deck should have it. I cannot imagine that it will go low anytime soon.
@@lVideoWatcherl You do need to play a deck with a suffisient amount of colorless mana, which not every deck has.
@@CianWolffensperger If you're not playing 4- to 5- color, I would put it nearly in every deck. remember that the talismans produce colorless, sol ring produces colorless, and plenty of the best utility lands produce colorless. Plus, the new cycling lands from mh3 also produce colorless, and you're likely to keep them open through a turn cycle anyways.

Why'd they gotta make snow covered wastes uncommon? I assume it's for limited but still. Mana bases are expensive enough without BASICS costing $3-4 a piece and I really don't think there are many places where they will be able to reprint these. Just glad they are pretty niche.
Only the full art version has that price. The other versions are 1 dollar (about the same price as the non snow version) which I agree is insane for basics.
However because they only make colorless an untapped utility land is better in 98% of cases
It's an attempt to further monetize EDH players by keeping the supply of Wastes low.
WotC knew they couldn't get away with not reprinting Wastes in some capacity when they re-introduced Edlrazi in MH3, given the colorless requirements, but they also knew that if they printed Wastes at common and put them in the fat packs, it would severely impact their sales of boosters for EDH players planning to build new colorless decks with the new Eldrazi legends.
So, they created Snow-Covered Wastes, literally the only snow card in the entire set, and used that to justify the upshift in rarity from common to uncommon (despite all other snow-covered basics, including the full-art ones from MH1, being common rarity).
I also like to think they opted to make them Snow-Covered Wastes as a reference to Eldrazi Winter, WotC snidely saying "Yes, we know exactly what we're doing to the Modern format, what are you going to do about it peon?"

None of this info in the video on prices is correct. As the set just released, prices are unstable. You can already get a snow covered wastes for $.83, and the most expensive version is $1.65 on TCGplayer right now.
Good cards to dump after prerelease but before set release if you open any.

@@slavaukraini1991 ok, sure, but you know what rarity other snow covered lands are, including previous Modern Horizons sets? COMMON. THEY'RE ALL COMMON.
The ONLY Snow-Covered basic lands (up until NOW for some psychotic, unknowable reason) are Secret Lairs and Promos.
And you can't even argue "oh, it's because they're wastes!" You know what rarity the original Wastes were printed at back in BFZ? COMMON. WotC has printed a BASIC LAND with no subtype, so they're not even widely FETCHABLE by most fetch lands, at UNCOMMON.
Is it sinking in yet why this is friggen ABSURD rarity creep?

Snow-Covered Wastes (Extended): $1.19

Null Elemental Blast: $0.74
Vexing Bauble: $3.00
Urza's Cave: $2.96
Current winner is Sink into Stupor at $5.35, and after Bauble and Cave is Fell the Profane at $2.49 (both risers being MDFCs!), with everything else well below $2.00. (Special mention to other pain MDFCs Witch Enchanter at $1.63 and Disciple of Freyalise at $1.43; basically only the new red pain MDFC Pinnacle Monk at $0.46 is lagging.)

Sick I pulled a meltdown and an Ugin's Labyrinth in the single booster I bought on my way home from work the day the set released
Didn't crack a single mythic in prerelease, luckily I got a few of these.
As a PLD main I do indeed feel like I’m living my best life.
Got a foil extended snow wastes in my first pack and it was probably best card in that damn pack costing me $10

The set isn't even out yet. Why report on this before people start ripping into product?
Pre-release is today and people who pre-ordered sealed product have early access to most of it.
I get Snow-covered Wastes is strictly better than normal Wastes, but I can't think of a single place that would seriously get played, since there are so many better lands that produce C and I don't think there's a colorless snow-matters commander.
Meltdown seems like a good way to slow down your opponents (and yourself), just pay 3 for the X cost and you can destroy most mana rocks in the game.
null elemental blast is only 1.56 foil under 1.00 nonfoil. im sure other prices are also incorrect as urzas cave is under 3 dollars market for nonfoil

Kozilek's Unsealing seems kinda underrated. If it triggered on itself (mana value 3) it'd be Synthesizer level of busted, and that's a tall order.
Easy slot in Affinity, mono U Tron and eldrazi decks.
"It That Heralds the End" is worth some $ too ;)
