  • G'day G'day,
Back into the Outback, The desert... whatever you want to call it. Far from a desert presently. Anyway, we saw a job advertised for a couple to work out at Cameron Corner Store, which isn't really a store. It's a great little outpost tucked literally in the south western corner of Queensland. Where the states of Queensland, New South Whales and South Australia meet. A place that was complicated during covid times. Tales of beer being served over the fence separating the states with strict rules not to cross. Stupid I know.
But anyway... yep, we're working here for the tourist season. Ticks a box of working in an outback pub. Gives us a little more insight to the area and the characters of the region. But first a stop that's been on the list for a while Fort Grey in the Sturt National Park. An old station, Lake Pinnaroo and traces of Charles Sturts early exploration. A very peaceful place to spend a few days and we luckily are here again in a time where the lake is full. A once in 15 year event on average.
    Enjoy
