I have no idea how you guys can churn out such a high quality 20 min episode every few days...whilst driving half the day and living out of roadhouses! I am in awe of how talented and committed you guys are :) Also....the music and B-roll is ALWAYS on point!
You two are our favourite youtubers. Just love watching your videos. You are so natural, content is interesting, drone shots superb and now my husband and I just want to see verything you have filmed. Never seen the Flinders Ranges. Even though we live close by in Victoria. Thank you so much Tia and Cheveyo.
The Flinders Ranges are some of the most amazing natural formations, and the scenery & energy of the region will go into your Soul and never leave you.
The stunning nothingness of being in the middle of nowhere in Aus, boring sometimes but also gives the perspective of just how big and often remote our beautiful country is. I’m so happy you did the Flinders Ranges, so vast, ancient, and silent. It’s like nowhere else in Aus. For me it’s a bit like Uluru in that it’s all about a ‘feeling’ that’s hard to explain. ❤️❤️❤️
Australia invented google maps now you know why 😂 ❤ Watching this has me go back to my childhood, my Mum and the 4 kids used to go to Flinders ranges every school holidays, we used to run wild loved it. Thanks, RIP Mum Adelaide South Australia
Your youtube channel is better than any Aussie travel show I've ever seen. I feel like I'm on the journey with you guys. Thanks for showing off my own country that I sometimes take for granted.
Well said. I have not seen this area myself. I think St. Germain or Port Augusta is the furthest I have driven from Melboune towards centre of Australia in a car. I think I could see the start of Flinder Ranges but never actually went in there. So been watching this series of videos the last few days of their road trip from Perth to here and none of these places I seen in person. I have been to Darwin a couple of times and hired vehicles to the see around Katherine and the national parks there but not actually driven to there from here in Melbourne. The most remote drive I remember being on and heading around to turn back as it looked so desolate was on the road from Mildura to Wentworth and the area looked so flat and vegetation so minimal it looked like it would be that way for hundreds of kilometres so turned around and headed back with girlfriend. To be fair to ourselves it was 47 degrees that day and crazy hot wind so it was not the right time to take a massive road trip in middle of nowhere. Think we ended up back down the Grampians a few days later which was great so still had a great time. Australia is so big you really cannot see everything, even if you try.
We done an 'Eco Tour' of the Flinders Ranges some time ago and we went into a canyon that was home to a colonly of Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby's, and our driver/guide was saying how well camoflaged they were to avoid several types of large eagles that hunted in that area. We found how right he was when we looked at the photo's we took in the canyon, and could hardy make out any of the wallaby's at all!! A real cool place indeed, we loved the place.
1:15 “Tia for scale” - so proud of Tia for doing that! Ya know, this is Australia, chances are, he probably would have posed with you if you said what you are doing 😂😂😂😂 that’s the way we roll here!! ❤️❤️❤️
Maybe... mining in AU and the OH&S that goes with it has made things pretty strict... Getting spotted on the net doing stuff that might be considered risky can end your job.
Yeah exactly. The isolation and boredom and featurelessness and unearthly silence of it is the whole point...there isn't anywhere else quite like it in the world BECAUSE it is so flat and empty and lacking in things to look at or do.

I went to Arizona back in 1980 before I went to the Flinders Ranges a few years ago, as you both said, very similar and both wonderful. Great journey you've both done!
Saturday morning coffee...stroll through the Flinders Ranges...and Arizona at the same time! Perfect! Thanks Wanderers! Droney McDrone Face haha love it... now it will get an Aussie nickname.... Macca! That’s how we roll 😂
I guessed Cheveyo would be looking for a car wash the moment you reach civilisation! Glad you finally made it to the Flinders. The drone shots are beautiful. 😊
The famous old Ghan railway track went through very remote and difficult terrain. The train was often stuck for days outback because of floods and the damage it causes to railway infrastructure. The Ghan was famous for being late to it's destination, not by hours but for days or more. There was an old joke that spoke of a woman passenger on the train talking to the guard and saying, "When will we get there, I am about to have a baby?" the guard said, " You should have thought about that before you boarded the train". The woman said, "I wasn't pregnant before I boarded the train".
Loving this series so much....the outback is my favourite part of Australia, especially the isolation & sky at night. I can't afford to travel much at moment but enjoying being able to see parts of Aus I haven't been yet through your travels.
Tia you just break me up with your innocence, we Aussies would never bark at you cos you were looking at our truck if you hadn't run away he probably would have given you a tour and let you sit in the drivers seat and yet in the next breath you are talking to the camera like a true professional.

The Flinders scene start at 17+ mins… Just wanted to say, Tia looking amazing with your hair over one shoulder. Love the Vegemite & egg combo too Cheveyo. I think you guys would be welcomed with open arms if you did want to live here one day. Well done to Mazda too 👏🏼
YOU GUYS are Unbelievable, Amazing,Incredible,etc,etc...Your Photography,Commentary,Research is truly Outstanding !!!! I am glued to your TH-cam Clips..I truly cannot get enough of you guys and what you get up to !
I visited the old rail station at Curdimurka back in '92. I climbed the old rickety spiral stairs to the top of the old water tower. The view was of a completely flat but spectacular plain where you could see as far as Lake Eyre South. Coming back down the staircase was quite possibly the scariest thing I have ever done.
I have travelled the Oodnadatta track more times than I can remember, rolled a government vehicle on it and spent time with the RFDS strapped to a gurney flying over it. We always used to put our clothing in sealed plastic bags in our suitcases because the bulldust got into everything. These small places can get really busy depending on the time of the year.
Rode my bicycle from Adelaide, through the north Flinders Ranges to Marree, then up the Oodnadatta Track to Oodnadatta, then west to the Painted Desert and onwards to Cadney Park Roadhouse on the Stuart Highway. 😊
See you drive like a maniac too, is definitely an admission of Tia's crazy driving Chevayo. Love you guys keep up the amazing job of showcasing our great country. The two of you are really the best tourism ambassadors I've ever seen for Australia ❤
Hi Tia and Cheveyo. I used to go camping in the Flinders Ranges in the early 1970s. Back then it was all rough tracks, and I had an old school Toyota Land Cruiser with light truck tyres. I absolutely loved it and back then there were no tourists. The ancient beauty and serenity are good for the soul. And the sunrises and sunsets are stunning. Enjoy.
Tia, you’d do well living in Australia with your social anxiety. We love our personal space and respect others space, especially in the country. In fact there was a study that said that Australia’s require the greatest amount of space between them and other people. We freak out if anyone gets too close. 😂 And if we chat to strangers, which we do a lot, it will only ever be because of a genuine want to be friendly. PS: that fine red dirt is called bull dust. It’s gets everywhere and is impossible to get rid of. 😂
Another great video. Did the track a few years ago in summer and there was no one on the road. The local cop at Oodnadatta came over to speak with us as he hadn't seen anyone roll into town for a few days. The museum was closed but we were entrusted with the keys and took a look around. Shame you didn't go to Peake Hill telegraph station, that is an amazing historical site. Take care, safe travels.
Love the cool drone footage, it really makes the road trip experience for us viewers so real. The date oasis with the springs was awesome. Ps I’ll never do this road trip so it is amazing to see it thru your eyes.
Ahhhh...that's bringing back memories of the mid to late 1990's (back when I was in my mid 20's) & on a dirt biking odyssey in the Flinders region with the lads & ladettes. We dropped in to Oodnadatta & got a group pic with the crew & bikes under that iconic Oodnadatta Track sign...& a bit later all of us sitting down along the front of the pub (on the cement) have a thirst quenching beer in our riding gear. Great memories of some times.
The line of springs is where the western rim of the great artesian comes to the surface. The eastern rim is in Queensland where the the basin is replenished ! A long journey for the water
The main difference between Arizona and The Flinders Ranges is, the Flinders Ranges are about 3,800,000,000 years old. The oldest rocks on earth. Meaning, when the earth was just a molten ball going around the sun. That was where it first started to cool and form rocks. The uranium used in the first atomic bomb was brought out of the Flinders Ranges on the backs of donkeys. When I first went out into that country, about 55 years ago, the old Ghan Train was still running and there was no such thing as tourists. One could travel for days and not see any other cars. You couldn't rely on maps, because they were wrong. Instead, you stopped at all the Cattle stations for directions and told them you were coming through, so that they could radio ahead to notify the next station that you were coming. Good work and good luck. It is a pleasure watching your adventures.
The emus sneaking in right at the end of the bloopers 😍 (nice self-correction of the pronunciation Tia 👌). I can't explain why, but I love those weird-ass birds.
It's not about the destination, it's about the journey - but you can only fit so much in a short video! I would not have approached those men around the truck either! 😥 You guys have taken our outback and made it yours! Such beautiful drone shots, and love your open minds to our harsh living history! The Ghan is named for the pioneer Afghan Cameleers! Amazing atmosphere! 🙋👍
Great footage & accompanying music. The Flinders Ranges is such a special place. I use to go there every year back when I lived in Adelaide. It's been about 24 years since I was last there, as I now live in Perth.
Your videos always make me feel like setting off on a great Aussie roadtrip, I appreciated the reminder in this video of how much nothing there is out there too. ❤
Hi Guys, I've been in various forms of mining engineering for over 20 years. Most of the transporters and operators of the big stuff will be more than happy to talk with you about it for hours. You might even luck out with one who will let you climb into the cab etc. (but not sure how that flies these days, insurance and all.) That dumper is definitely a 'baby' in that it's much smaller than the massive machines they have on site for moving product around. The 'big' ones like the 777s have tyres 3*the height of an average human and would have the highway shut down for transport. Very cool gear.
Thank you for going to the beautiful Flinders Ranges. This is where I went on my honeymoon - 36 years ago. Brought back lots of happy memories. Hope your sore back will be better soon, Tia. Take care and stay safe❤❤
Cheveyo! Rebooting the brain was the phrase I was looking for to express the positive side of being in such an isolated and apparently featureless place. I knew a botanist who drove across the Nullarbor, stopping every 10 to 20 ks to collect a plant specimen. He stuck them in a book and as you leaf through it you could see that every one of them was different.
Great job Droney MCDF, oh and you 2 😊 awesome vids, hope your enjoying your music suggestions as you travel over those long boring bits and enjoy.the peace and warmth..oh Emus cool.. one stuck it's head into my tent while camping and scared the crap out of me .. they are pretty awesome..
Did you know that Lake Eyre is actually below sea level. A lot of the rivers in outback Qld flow to it. Have a look online for a map of the Lake Eyre catchment. The size is mind boggling. So glad you guys took this route and got off the bitumen. And yes it's pronounced air so well done! William Creek and Marree are busy little dots in the middle of nowhere cos they are used for the sightseeing flights over Lake Eyre. Definitely worth the cost.
Some of your best footage this vid guys!. The shot at 17:09 Tia's hair looks so beautiful in the sun. She is gorgeous! And I love man-bun Cheveyo too. Sooo glad our beautiful country makes you feel at home. Also Tia, what did you drizzle on your eggs? BBQ sauce? You guys are incredible, never stop!!!!!
I thought the drone duty had been passed to Tia after the bump in the last video, until Cheveyo was again flying it later in the vid. Started watching earlier videos again and you can definitely see the improvements in both experience and equipment through the years. I have to the limit the number of Thailand ones I watch in a row as it keeps making me so damn hungry. Being from the UK, the vast open spaces of Australia you show are just awe inspiring.
I am relieved to learn that your drone is still operational after its unscheduled visit with a tree. Including some aerial footage in your videos provides people with a better appreciation of just how little there is to see in remote locations around Australia. Seeing Lake Eyre when it is flooded is amazing. The area really bursts into life with a huge array of flowers and wildlife.
Another great video a little info about the Flinders Ranges, the present height is a tenth of its historical size it made the Himalayas look quite average 11600m Saint Mary's Peak now it is only 1160m. I also agree the Flinders is by far our favorite.
Awesome trip you two. It is difficult to comprehend the sheer size of Lake Eyre until you see it on a map. Enjoy … really pleased to see you having a ball.
Thanks for your great videos and comments you have just been where a lot of Aussies would like to go. Sorry unable to drone Lake Eyre it is great from the air when it has water it has had a number of floodings over the last 10 or so years due to rains in Queensland and collection rivers. Flinders is great again air view is amazing great vid enjoy the next leg of your wonderful travel.❤😊
Although it would have cost a pretty penny, around the 3:00 minute mark, Icehouse's song Great Southern Land would have been perfect for that drone shot part. Love this video - I kinda feel like a stuck record - you guys keep posting the very best videos, accompanied by awesome soundtracks / music, brilliantly high-res videos, and an overall vibe of just 'awesome' ... I really appreciate you showcasing our little island to the rest of the world - proving that although there are risks, not everything is constantly trying to kill you if you visit Australia. As complacent as I've become (closing in on my mid 50's), because of what you upload, I get the urge to go and explore the world, but realize I just don't have the moolah to do so. Thank you Tia, Chev ... you guys ARE awesome, and I would insist that you ARE Aussies at heart (or whichever nationality, wherever you travel, due to your respect for the country and customs you experience). Thanks ... and please keep up the fantastic content, for as long as you can financially do so - I really enjoy what you produce!
Your travels are very humorous! Have you been to Wilsons Promontory yet? 550 metre granite mountain falling into the sea, totally awesome. Beautiful walks and views. Get there now!
Flinders ranges is great. Wonderful landscapes, rocks & trees. Arkaroola (to the north) is also an amazing place. Broken Hill is an interesting place to visit too, but a fair detour from Adelaide (depends which way you're going).
Thankyou again for showing us areas , places that actually exist Oodnadatta I have heard of but never imagined it to be like that , many of us tend to just go to places near our homes not off the beaten track I adore you I have 4 daughters and they are International travellers also when they build up time they are always off somewhere one is off to China next year just another Stamp for her Passport .❤love you both.
You guys should know by now that you can approach anyone and almost anything without being harassed and yes, the mine dumpers are just the small variety.
This will be one for the memory books. Absolutely breathtaking to look at, you guys. The scenery wasn't bad either. *Slaps knee* Have you considered longer form videos? Add everything! You guys are beyond addicting. If you've got it all down to a science, what with editing times and all, then I get it. Those ranges were something else.
I've always wanted to see Wilpena Pound after missing out in 1973 due to floods. I've never had the opportunity since, so thank you for taking me there. It's even more beautiful and impressive than I imagined.
I live next the Flinders Ranges, in northern SA, and it's a great area to visit. Looks like you drove through Brachina Gorge. Actually Wilpena Pound wasn't formed by either a volcano or a meteor strike.
Thanks for another engaging video. I went down "the Track" over 30 years ago, and it does not seem to have changed much - but there was so much I had forgotten! And the dust for us was mud, so don't complain too much. Getting that mud off once it dried was extreme. Chev it is good to see you taking a more active role in the presenting. Tia is bubbly and energetic, but you bring a calmness and reflective quality that gives a great balance. You do make a great team.
Cheveyo and Tia I didnt know one can get dates and chocolate ones of that from Oodnadatta I will have to Google favourite it. Wow wow wow going on such journeys and being isolated from worlds problems it's just therapy enough cheers for the sweet video
This is the most I've ever noticed the music in one of your videos. The gothy synths over the Australian gothic visuals is chef's kiss!! I keep watching on my tv and forgetting to comment afterwards but also huge agree from some amount of videos back with how sacred it can feel to be in the mountains here and how you feel the millennia of human history. Been living around the Moonbi Range in NSW since January and it hurts to imagine ever being away from it now. 🥲 Also, not sure if you're still taking music recs but Telenova is one of my favorite new to me Aussie bands as of late.
It's so great to see a couple who obviously NEVER EVER ARGUE. it would be so awakening and a terrific learning experience to be in your company for a week or so. How, you both could teach us normal people how to get on. If I could pick a couple to be stranded with and know I'd never wake up dead with me throat cut, it would be with TIA and CHEV. ❤❤❤❤
Oh no I hope youvwent into the Williams Creek hotel, it is such an icon, everyone who travels through leaves a little something there, hats, badges, money, clothes etc, it's an amazing going through all the different countries In there
So good to see those places after many years. So good. In the 1970s when I was kid it flooded many areas. We swam in Lake Eyre. So glad you like the Flinders Rangers. Lots of great walks to take. Little waterholes.

The music accompanying the drone shots of desolation = absolute perfection. It conveys a dystopian eerie vastness like you're on another planet
That's what I was aiming for, glad it landed that way! 😊

The drone work is just so good, what an amazing upgrade it has made. Gives us a much better feel of what the outback looks like.
This country is so damn beautiful and people should explore as much as possible.
Definitely get the Arizona twinning….another beautiful place in the USA.
Glad to see her getting out of her comfort zone a little more
Love the cool drone footage, it really makes the road trip experience for us viewers so real.
Don’t be afraid of the truckies, they have some good yarns to tell. And there will forever be some outback dust in the vehicle. 😊
Your drone footage is seriously cinematic quality. So beautiful and wonderfully framed shots.
Hi Guys,
I've been in various forms of mining engineering for over 20 years. Most of the transporters and operators of the big stuff will be more than happy to talk with you about it for hours. You might even luck out with one who will let you climb into the cab etc. (but not sure how that flies these days, insurance and all.)
That dumper is definitely a 'baby' in that it's much smaller than the massive machines they have on site for moving product around.
Yeah ,it definitely has that affect.
One of your best videos yet 😊 Those drone shots are amazing! Great music too. Well done guys 😊
Thank you for more amazing camera work and editing and the company of two of the most amazing people and of course the dirty but beautiful Luna😁
That's absolutely beautiful scenery. I've never seen Flinders Ranges before. It looks like you're both having a wonderful time.
That red dust stuck everywhere on your vehicle is called Bull Dust. It gets into everything.
that bulldust
18:30 - 20:24 - The Amazing Flinders Ranges!
Great footage. High Praise. 😊
OMG Chev with the Veg n Egg on toast... sorry Tia he is now my fave
The area really bursts into life with a huge array of flowers and wildlife.
quality content, have been watching this series with great joy & pride the you guys showcase australia so well so happily.
Thanks guys for showing us the Flinders Ranges keep up the good work
Although it would have cost a pretty penny, around the 3:00 minute mark, Icehouse's song Great Southern Land would have been perfect for that drone shot part.
TH-camrs biggest fear is Copyright strike. They can't play it.
Another excellent video guys. And Tia, just wait until see the national parks & wilderness in Tasmania
Your travels are very humorous! Have you been to Wilsons Promontory yet? 550 metre granite mountain falling into the sea, totally awesome. Beautiful walks and views. Get there now!
Good job of sharing Australia, taking me along!
Bless! I can only imagine what was going through your mind. Great job!!
razorback lookout, along bunyeroo is spectacular! Don’t forget to go Birdsville, Innamincka!
*Slaps knee*
Have you considered longer form videos? Add everything! You guys are beyond addicting. If you've got it all down to a science, what with editing times and all, then I get it.
Those ranges were something else.
I'm learning so much about my own country by watching these videos, I love it!
Another great view of our vast inland. Hope you stopped at the Bubbler just out of Coward Springs and Farina. Keep them coming. 🍻
Such wonderful scenery … goodonya!
Went swimming in the Bubbler Mound Spring. 😊
Absolutely kicking it with the visuals guys. Making me homesick. Also thanks for the Shazam on the Dylan Sitts tune …love it
Oh no I hope youvwent into the Williams Creek hotel, it is such an icon, everyone who travels through leaves a little something there, hats, badges, money, clothes etc, it's an amazing going through all the different countries In there
So good to see those places after many years. So good. In the 1970s when I was kid it flooded many areas. We swam in Lake Eyre. So glad you like the Flinders Rangers. Lots of great walks to take. Little waterholes.
