Stop with the PTSD stuff. Seems 90% of the world has PTSD these days.
Dont ever use it as a crutch. I suffer from severe Panic Disorder and I do take meds pr it cripples me. I never ever use it to my advantage. I just move forward with life.
Why would you say she is using it to her advantage for PTSD? How would that ever be an advantage? Panic and anxiety is awful and clearly you have to take meds as you mentioned to just get through life as well. We can't judge each other for that.
I have listened to Matchbox 20 since they came out and have always appreciated the wonderful lyrics and this song in particular I heard today when I needed to hear it.
I've always liked Matchbox Twenty,their songs are usually about reality,about how life really is.

They're in a gray place when suddenly color appears because someone decided that their life didn't have to be hard anymore. Wow. It's awesome.

They don't get enough recognition in my opinion. But at the same time, I'm happy they're not a washed out, warn out band that they play on the radio fifty times a day. I’m probably a good bit older than most people who post here, but I’ve been a MB20 fan since discovering them, too late, only two years ago (I normally don’t listen to much made since the early 70s). I find this song speaks to me the way some songs did back then. I suspect that Rob wrote it about relationships but I see it as a cogent, even if accidental, allegory about the times in which we all live; the economy and a very uncertain future. It is uplifting in that respect.

i just joined the MB20 bandwagon instead of listening to the synthesized pop music my peers like, i have to say i hate synthesized pop and if anyone knew what good quality music was then everybody would listen to Matchbox 20 and Rob Thomas. U can really relate to their music and they have helped me through a very recent hard time. I love them a lot and i wish more people could feel that way.

I used to think so very differently. I value music as a part of my life. It influenced me alot. Before when I was only a few years younger,I've never experienced hardships, feelings of almost ALL emotions and I never really valued this song "These hard times". Went to the concert in OKC, March 2nd,08. I would have to agree "They Rock". I would go over and over again. They sound great live and Rob always looks great. Miss his longer curlier hair though. You should go if you get a chance. USB wristbands are great they tape the live music from the concert on them for you and they are well worth the $35. All thogether they played 21 songs.
