If I get one of these I’m definitely swapping the base for real Lego parts. That way I might even add a steeper typing angle and make the case a bit deeper.
that's the most innocent comment i've ever read on yt - why shouldn't you be able to? He did it too easily. I got a Akko keyboard. But for modding i'd recommend keychron boards for startees, i think they're easy as sht
The plate issue you ran into is an issue with all of them. I'd say 99% of their lego's / boards - once built they all have a bow and I'm not sure if they accounted for the shrinkage. I went around with a dremel and sanded and trimmed the entirety of the plate including the "gasket mount" legs otherwise it will be way too stiff. Your plates touching each other is 100% because of the bow in the case. I also do not like that they put a massive gap down the middle of the numpad - I asked them why and they said "to be different". These are a cool concept but I just wish the LEGO's / cases were manufactured a bit better. I bought a Gray version when it came out and it had a 2-3mm bow, it would literally seesaw. They did know this was a huge issue and sent me a case revision but it still had a terrible bow.
It's due to the clamping force of the used bricks being too strong. I rebuilt my Lilith Kit using bricks by another brand and the warping went away. Before that even the PCB would bend.
my issue is when i go to install the firmware the error message stating incorrect diskage or something like that pops up and I have no clue how to fix it.
So I did exactly the same thing that you did when trying to sync the keyboard and the numpad together but might whole keyboard did not light up. Only the numpad
@@aidanmcdevitt2227 there is two holes in the back of the PCB that is labeled RXT. You have to get a clip that conducts electricity and shape the pin so that you can put the pin in both holes at the same time. Plug in the PCB and lightly stab the two holes. This should reset the PCB. If you want to have your keyboard and numpad work with one wire, they provide a small wire that you have to use to connect the keyboard to the numpad. And follow how to download the files in the video
Southpaw seriously looks like it should be a standard full size format, numpad on left hand is such a no brainer to use with a mouse mann
I agree. Looks weird in photos, but when it's on the desk , it just makes sense.

Fire
need to see more mods using these kits, maybe a macro pad?
Keebface i got a question i wanted to buy this keyboard to build it and play games with it, do u think it would work out
