You can actually find Snarks in Blue Shift. In the chapter Power Struggle there is a place right after the first large pool of cyan coolant liquid. There is a corridor with a bunch of HECU's, broken vending machines, and ammo supplies. At the dead end of it there is a ladder which leads to another floor where you see a lone HECU next to a radio. If you keep climbing up on the raster-like thing attached to the same wall as the ladder you'll end up in dark vents. In the end there will be a few HECU corpses and a Snark nest-pickup. However, you missed Gauss Gun / Tau Cannon which is actually unused in Blue Shift. Fun fact: Snarks are used in Blue Shift speedrunning because they are NPC's technically and they can trigger the teleport-related sequences sooner than the player and designated NPC's for them.

The alien grunt sprite was used in the retail version of Half-Life 1 for the alternate ending. When the player decides to not step into the G-Man's portal, the G-Man teleports them to a room filled with an army of alien grunts all lined up. Normal 3D models were used in the front for the alien grunts there, however the sprites were used in the far background. This was done to better optimize computer memory and power, as additional 3D models would have been harder to process. Since they're so far in the distance and the moment happens so quick its almost impossible to tell they're sprites.
For those who don't understand why Half-Life² has so many things cut, it is because Half-life² Beta is a completely different game from our current Half-Life² completely different story, map, universe, characters, weapons, endings etc
Yeah, it's a shame the beta never went through. I can understand why but there's still a part of me that wishes it could have been. Maybe as some other IP or something, or like an alternate history spin off.
There is! You can find a lot of cut stuff on the wikis! Like GLaDOS and Chell had a lot of concept art and so did the Mercs. There are also many beta designs of Alyx and some female Half-Life scientists too and probably much more.

The mannequin from Portal 2 is used in the turret factory area. In the the shooting range area of the factory the turrets are shooting at it. It does have unused animations though.
The Manhack arcade sounds like and probably is the most dystopian idea someone has thought of. I mean who (in universe) thinks "Hey, lets trick people into controlling our stuff by disguising it as a video game!" The tf2 robots were not scrapped along with their taunts, they are in mvm, they appear in the beginning of each mvm round and they taunt every time they kill a enemy (your team), and of course the backstab and headshots are for those exact things.

Fact : Counter-Strike 1.6 cut weapons is also supposed to be Condition zero (made by gearbox) weapons but it was cancelled. Counter-strike 1.6 actually use weapon models such as shield, famas and galil base from condition zero (made by gearbox) but they have changed the arm texture to a classic arm texture (cs 1.0) with brighter colour and less contrast... The condition zero's (made by gearbox) hud sprite can be found on counter-strike 1.6 sprites folder....
I think the alien grunt sprites at 1:05 are the ones used in the bad ending where you reject the G-Man's offer. If you use noclip and fly around you can see the aliens are actually just sprites I also assume the unused g-man voice lines in episode one were gonna be used in the opening

the ice axe seems like it was cut because it was supposed to be for borealis but since borealis got cut there wasnt really need for the ice axe anymore. and also although you cant get the stun baton normally in game you can get it from console in hl2 and you a can easily get it from combine sometimes in gmod and besides the hopwire grenade was probably removed due to the fact its very obvious and easy to see because of the ropes or wires or whatever comes out of it makes it easier to see and more noticeable and the hopwire blackhole grenade was probably removed due to how over powered it was and how the hell does combine even make those if they can make a blackhole grenade then they would've already been able to kill off the rebels and gordon freeman and actually sustain everything in less than 7 hours in the 7 hour war possibly even minutes who knows maybe they can even make a black hole nuke/bomb. and in portal the walking turret was removed because that would've made the game almost impossible to complete knowing that you cant run you have no guns just a portal gun and you need lots of time to think how to remove these turrets and making one walk is absolutely game breaking and the portal pistol was removed because the portal gun was already there and there was no need for it the syringe in TF2 was removed because we had something even more better and less tedious to use and its the healing gun from the doctor/medical class the tranquilizer wasnt needed because of the ability of the spy to be invisible and the tranquilizer was probably for the spy and other than that the tranquilizer will simply put the enemy to sleep or make them stunned or just kill them? because 1 if it makes them sleep then its just weird and out of scenario and 2 if it makes them stunned then it doesnt make sense because thats not what a tranquilizer dart is supposed to do in real life and 3 if it insta-kills them then its too overpowered and again it doesnt make sense in real life for the hats i have absolutely no idea why maybe they had some copyright material or something? like that jurrasic park dinosaur looking hat in l4d1 the crawling animation was still there in modded servers the rocket turret in portal 2 was probably too overpowered however the hover turret was good and all but just needed some map design meant for it which if they wanted to put it in the game more often then it will be pretty tedious to make the map design more complex for them to put them in so i guess thats why they were cut from the final game

You can use 357 in Opposing Force multiplayer. Or even singleplayer if you use cheats. It's not cut at all. Edit: 357 is INCLUDED in Blue Shift campaign by default. How did you manage to miss it in the game?
The Whitaker Model was used in Dead centre if you look at the door where the Rocket comes out to break the truck ,if you look there you will see the Whitaker Model
Also the stun baton is still in Half-Life 2, just its view model animations aren’t in there. (And is only obtainable from cheats.) So it’s kinda unused.

It's not unused. The dead scientists in HEV are the same model. Not only that but also the exact same file as well - it has two head variations.

the tranquilizer wasnt needed because of the ability of the spy to be invisible and the tranquilizer was probably for the spy and other than that the tranquilizer will simply put the enemy to sleep or make them stunned or just kill them? because 1 if it makes them sleep then its just weird and out of scenario and 2 if it makes them stunned then it doesnt make sense because thats not what a tranquilizer dart is supposed to do in real life and 3 if it insta-kills them then its too overpowered and again it doesnt make sense in real life

in l4d1 the crawling animation was still there in modded servers
the rocket turret in portal 2 was probably too overpowered however the hover turret was good and all but just needed some map design meant for it which if they wanted to put it in the game more often then it will be pretty tedious to make the map design more complex for them to put them in so i guess thats why they were cut from the final game
