Agree with warrior lady. Maining a copy in hero beat helps me get over problem monsters and is a nice ROTA target when you already have heros in your hand.
One card that I've been really happy with lately is Doomcaliber Knight. It completely shuts off Fairies, Dragons, X-Sabers, Tomato Decks, etc. in their early game, and its beefiness is hard to get over. It's just a magnet for a bottomless, D Prison, etc. so you can jam your really good cards the way you want to.
One of those big brain cards where you have to slap it down at the exact right time, I thought this card sucked in the format turns out it was just me lmao
I like the Twister tech against decks and metas that play a lot of Royal Oppression and/or Royal Decree. Hard to tell if we're at that point. I know that some Fairy decks have started adapting Decree into their builds to deal with Light-Imprisoning Mirror, and unless you already have a timely Dust Tornado you won't be able to use Dust to clear the Decree later. As a Zombie player, I fear this reality, but it does give me an excuse to dust off my Ulti 1st Ed. playset! XP
I was playing my mostly old school (with some newer cards) cube the other day with my friends. One game my opponent had a Royal Decree up. I activated March of The Monarchs and did some Angel 01 shenanigans to tribute for Obelisk. Then I attacked into my opponents facedown monster, which turned out to be Jujitsu Master. Even when it seems like nothing can answer a threat, Jujitsu Master answers it.
Pretty much on-point with side deck cards. Only really generic side deck card I would really add would be soul release and I think that card is seeing less play now. Also, a pretty significant plus to Twister over Dust Tornado is that it's a clean out to royal decree, whereas dust can't destroy an already active decree. But Dust is better in like 95% of cases.
i think my body as a shield is excellent against monsters with destruction effects like judgement dragon, orange light, dark armed and black rose. the biggest benefit is its ability to give you card advantage, however, i do not think this is a good card against icarus attack because the last thing you want to do is pay life points against blackwings. its also a mediocre counter to any 1 for 1 destruction cards and sweepers because of its hefty life point cost. something unique about it is that its one of the only ways out of a judgment dragon bomb when royal decree is on the field as far as spells and traps go. the main issue with this card is that you have to change the way you play. you need to side and plan in such a way that you dont take chip damage or require damage as part of your strategy, like ramming recruiters into monsters to build your graveyard. overall, i think this is an excellent side deck card that can replace solemn judgement if you feel that your opponent's strategy is very predictable and linear.
I think the big thing about my body is that it protects you from hard losing to bottomless trap hole and torrential tribute, so going second it lets you play into backrow in the decks that are trying to establish unfair board states (lightsworn, kfc, gigavise etc.)
Thunder king became much more potent when infernity(archfiend) and six samurai(smoke signal/ROTA/gateway of the six/synchro into Shi En) and when xyz was introduced to the game
@@jcampos9659 its terrible against lightsworns since ryko pops and honest helps them punch over anything. It only hurts charge of the light brigade and JD
The only deck it’s extremely good against is hydropump’s turbo dragon deck, shits on white stone searchs, debri dragon synchro into black rose or stardust. REDMD inherent special summon. And ofc that deck doesnt play any traps so no way to deal with thunder king except sit on debri dragon’s 2000 def ass
My body is a rlly good side board in x-sabers. It’s a monk target, and also saves u from ddv going second, assuming your opponent doesn’t shotgun in standby. Basically necessary if playing against Bw
I’ve had mixed results with my body. Has saved me from JD but black horn woukd do that job for free and with more range. I’ve been thinking of siding Kinetic Solider in Machina. Hero’s can’t beat over it, not even gaia. Alius attacking into setvand losing 1900lp is also nice.
Mbaas is good against BW, end phase icarus wins a lot of games. same with spark at any time. it also comes in vs LS. other than that , i never have a combo to pair with it, but 2 for 1s with mbaas is good enough.
What about Divine Wrath? I think it's a niche budget option for Pulling The Rug also it can be more useful, the only downside is it requires 1 discard.
I love my body as a shield 🎉 It’s highly underrated. 1500 is a small price. I got 2nd this week because of it 🎉🎉🎉 I promise you will see an uptick in use. Im upping it to two this week
For the longest time i thought you were saying "cyborg" cards when u would say sideboard cards in your vids. Its cuz in the first vid of urs ive seen u were talking about cydra so i just assumed it was a cute nickname u had for cydra type cards. It got confusing quick but now it all makes sense lmao

I main 2 in my hero beat list and have had really great success with it. It works with honest too and they never see it coming

@@emnl.o7ero It's better into the trap version with masked dragon, drago, exploder and others
My man spittin on the D.D warrior lady
The only sideboard you ever need is smokescreen…😆
lmao yes

Really good against blackwings? Does it take out whirlwinds as well? And against their Royal oppression when they do 800 for cost
just 2 cards away from a highlander edison deck
jar and legacy

jujitsu master is a powerful card. cant be slept on for sure

true mbaas has a lot of versatile applications. the life cost can be steep though, especially in the mid to late game
Really enjoyed this video
I love dd crow. During Edison I used to hit my cousins bestiari all the time. as soon as it hit the grave. he would get so mad lol.

What do you think about trap eater for Frog Monarch? Wasn't he available in Edison?
Thunder king became much more potent when infernity(archfiend) and six samurai(smoke signal/ROTA/gateway of the six/synchro into Shi En) and when xyz was introduced to the game
Before that 2011 era, thunder king only shits on gadgets/machina gearframe/stratos/ecall/rota
Whirlwind, quickdraw (debris, shell), Lighstworn (JD, brigade)… TKR is solid in edison format.
@@jcampos9659 its terrible against lightsworns since ryko pops and honest helps them punch over anything. It only hurts charge of the light brigade and JD
Blackwings have icarus attack/gale to half/kalute to punch over/and even sirroco 2000 beatstick normal summon

Is armory arm colosso combo legit in this format?
It is! Although most decks can't really take advantage

whom to side them 🤔
Whomstve 🤔🤔🤔

Yes that card is decent if you can support discard
Haha this is great. I have every single one of those cards in my pile. 🎉

I think D prison is insane too!
It's pretty solid!
Chalice is slept on.
Yes
i’m not gonna drink my fine wine with mcdonald’s 😭😭😭😭😭😭
lmao this entire board looks like my beatdown Deck from highschool
Doomcaliber ?
I agree w trap hole
Trap Hole best Edison sideboard purely for the Glad Beast hate
DDWL is THA DON!!!! Been saying that. I have a cube and she is a top draft pick in that. Absolute fucking classic
What about SKILL DRAINNNNN!?
Magic cylinder is W
Gozen Match and Rivalry of the Warlords
