That's on par with today's hydro jobs installed either by a shop or DYI. I did my own at home.. super quiet.. all you heard was the pump motor not a bunch metal. Mind you, my pumps were Maxon straight from a tailgate (midnight auto parts) including batteries..that side to side is something I can't stand or all the modifications to hop. My car was plumbed thanks to my dad, my cups and donuts were machined and this was 1972.. I was the first to use 3/4 ton coils for hopping.. there was no one back then that could outdo my 63 SS or 66 impala's. These days, I drive restomods and porsches..

Thanks!! I have two different headlight switches. It does the same thing with both. If I hit the brights with the floor button, the brights work. I’m wondering if the wired that right.
I started at the headlight switch and follow the current all the way down to the high beam button switch I noticed that when installing the headlight switch the small shaft has to be pushed in all the way sometime will give you trouble when it's attached to the dashboard try and install it just hanging from the harness see if you have the small shaft all the way inside the headlight switch

Yeah, next time I drop it off anywhere, I’m gonna be very specific about them NOT messing with the hydraulics whatsoever. Nothing like just getting a setup installed, hitting the switches maybe like 15 times and then someone at a shop breaking them..

My frame is wrapped in 1/4”; extended and reinforced a-arms, trailing arms are reinforced as well. I also fiberglassed the inside of the quarter panels. The body still flexes a little when I three wheel; it’s not bad and goes right back; I just wouldn’t want to open anything while it’s up on three. Thanks for commenting! 👊🏻

If you’re just gonna build a “layNplay” with No hopping or 3-wheeling; I’d just reinforce the rear arches and where the coils go into on the front and back. The more reinforcement the better though, better to spend a little more upfront then to have serious damage later on 👍

Man I can't get my alignment from shifting everytime I hit the front up.. someone told me weld the caster bolt bushing on lower arm? Do u have this problem?
When I had 5.20’s on it. It would be all over the road. I changed it out to radials and got Al alignment done. Now I can do 65 mph and let go of the wheel. I didn’t do anything special to fix it though. Hope this helps
I used a sheet of 18 gage steel. Cut it to fit along the outside of the trunk lid support. Tack welded it on and worked my way around in different small spots to keep it from warping as much as possible. Grind it down with a flapper wheel the same way. Go over welds with fiberglass hair/resin; then do regular bodywork. One thing I’ll say is you’ll have to move your tension bar to the strongest one. And if you’re gonna have a super big system; it’s harder to keep it from rattling 👍

Yes I have a question, I ripped out the cylinders just making sure they were tight and obviously I took out the springs anyways I put everything back together I seated the springs correctly and on the second hit the car comes back down rocking left to right or right to left coming back down on the pavement uneven what do you think might be the problem???
It sounds like you’ve got some air in one or both of your lines. If you raise it, loosen the hose at the cylinder just a tad looking for air bubbles coming out. Do it on each side just a little at a time. Make sure you don’t run out of oil in your tank. Lower the vehicle all the way after and then raise it and see if that fixes it. Of course make sure your slowdowns didn’t get moved at all too. There’s a couple videos on how to bleed your cylinders on TH-cam. Let me know if that helps 👍
@@cjoe6586 I was just trying to go over anything that would make the car not come down or go up even. The only thing I could think would be the springs not getting put back the same (but you did that) air in one of the lines (you bled them) and maybe one of the slowdowns (assuming you’ve got two running to the front) got bumped while filling the tank back up after bleeding them. Other than that I’m not sure what could cause it.

@@rock____steady I feel the same way; plus, I’m guessing you’d only get like 300 miles out of a set with super extended a-arms. 3/4”-1” is perfect if you just want them to balance out nicely. Definitely make sure you reinforce your frame first too; at least the stress points depending on what you’re going to be doing 👍

I’m running 8” cylinders in the front and 10” in the rear. I haven’t tried to order the wishbone yet, I had a few more things pop up I need to take care of first.. Engine wasn’t tuned like I was told it was, therefore, it burned up the freshly built tranny.. If you email Hoppo’s and ask, Art is usually really good at getting it made right away for you. I know they’ve been out of stock on things before and I just emailed him, and he had it within a week for me.

I believe I got them from JIT Truckparts. I just google searched the ones I wanted and got them from whoever had them the cheapest 😁 it was still crazy expensive though, that’s kinda what made me lean towards six instead of eight lol
It’s called a Schumacher model DSR127 it’s the 8 battery bank one. They also make a 4 bank one, model DSR125 When I bought it I just Google searched it and found the cheapest price (I believe it was from Amazon) they’re pretty expensive, but really good. I thought the two batteries in my Hummer were gone and I put them on the “recovery” mode with this charger over night and it brought them back. Pretty much paid for itself right there.
I actually just made a short video about 5.20’s For riding, I’d go with radials, for show, 5,20’s. Personally, for what I’m wanting out I’d a tire, I’ll never buy 5.20’s again.

Yes I did bleed them yesterday so no bubbles, now how with the slow downs move without touching them??

I went back and forth with it; In the end I just decided to go without. I think if it was a year with some fins I would have went with dual antennas

I’m not positive; they came with the built frame. But I believe they’re the same ones that Hoppos sells.

Your car should lay on the ground with hydraulics unless you kept the rubbers on in front end or Cut your coils a 1/2 inch
