The point is that Tesla was a genius and you dont need to be a genius to instantly understand what obstacles was infront of Tesla. The guys that used dynamite to blow up Tesla tower that is presented in this video did that for a reason and the reason is not what the guy in this video said... so in the end his whole point is that he(the author of this video) can not do it and he have no idea if Tesla idea is posible and will be efficient enoght in the future. He was not able to do it because of people that earn billions whit what we have now and they did not like idea that you will be able to get power for your radio, car or ship and not use oil products that they sell or put electricity meter betwen you and the power plant that can produce power from stuff that they do not sell... We have planes and spaceflight and AC power in our home thanks to people like Tesla not thanks to people that have "NO CANT DO" type of attitude.

What if we put a fan on the front of our trains (and the air goes between the walls or something), and that would probably reduce air resistance, and generate power (but I haven't done the math)

The only use of a wireless charger is if your phone is no longer charging you can rule out if it I the plug in is broken or something else in the phone.

About an hour ago, somebody tried to tell me wireless charging is much faster and efficient than cable. His 'prove' was a personal anecdote about a single powerbank he once owned ("It charged much faster than using the cable"). I presented some numbers and before I could get to any explanation (like conductivity), I was shouted at and essentially thrown out.
I really needed to watch this video again to brighten up my mood. Some people just refuse to be educated.
Watching your videos has really driven me towards pursing an electrical engineering degree thanks for helping me think

A VPN does NOT magically encrypt your traffic. When it leaves the VPN server, it's plaintext again, if you don't have HTTPS.
A VPN does NOT provide extra security. It does change your location, yes but that's pretty much all it does. The VPN can track you and log data about you, which they do already.

Except for the part where he says it's already the best we can do, and there's already a huge economic benefit from the free market to make any kind of further improvements. Motivation alone isn't enough to bypass the laws of physics, as the failure of Tesla demonstrated.

Charging a laptop at a friends solar setup: His small DIY solar setup creates 20V DC, his transformer makes it 240V AC and the laptop charger makes it 20V again.

EDIT: since posting this comment, I changed my mind, and I use a wireless charger almost everyday.
It's convenient. I have one pad at my desk at work and keep my phone in its case and on the pad. Saves the effort of plugging and unplugging. I understand if you have an iPhone.

My iphone 8 has the fast charging where the voltage goes up and down as per the USB-C protocol, yes I use a special USB-C to Lightening cable.
If I get the wireless charger, not only does it costs $99 it bypasses all that USB-C voltage negotiation and charges at 5V 5W

I think its pretty much common sesne to see its how dumb it is... You still have wire, you are much less "mobile" with this type of charging, is cost more and it takes longer to charge... Its just so dumb...

Even though there are a lot of "inefficient" devices, we must also take account of some phenomenons, for ex. the overall efficiency of transforming thermal energy into mechanical (and then into electrical) cannot ever reach a reasonable value, because thermal energy is a lower-quality form of energy. Its energy has more anergy than exergy (energy = exergy + anergy from thermodynamics, where exergy is the useful part of energy, and it is also defined by the environment of a thermodynamic system).
Another example is that wind turbines also have an upper limit called Betz's limit or Betz's law: "No turbine can capture more than 16/27 (59.3%) of the kinetic energy in wind. The factor 16/27 (0.593) is known as Betz's coefficient.". And this phenomenon is totally regardless of the turbine construction or the construction of the whole unit, its efficiency cannot exceed Betz's limit.
Thus, when we talk about efficiency of a device, we should calculate it by dividing useful energy with the energy transformation's upper limit. So, combustion engines, as devices, actually have a higher efficiency than usually mentioned.

heh, I'm a bowyer (someone who makes bows for archery) and when bowyers get together all they can talk about is the efficiency of their bows. How much energy can be stored in the limbs, and how efficiently this energy can then be transferred to the arrow. The hunt for ever more efficient bows goes on! (though I don't think efficient bows will safe the planet)
