We have booked this cabin for Brilliance out of New Orleans to the Western Carrib in Nov2024. Thanks for the share. We haven’t stayed in a suite of any kind before so I was excited to hear your impression.
I'll be there in Nov 24 out of New Orleans in a Junior Suite. Cant wait!! Also, I saw The Weekend Cruiser at Coco Cay a couple of weekends ago. Too bad I couldn't stop and chat.
What a gorgeous room, Brandon! I love that you don’t leave home without your Metamucil, because at least I don’t want to be constipated and then not be able to really enjoy every singe meal!
@@tonymacgrath7762 Yes, I imagine that is true! What I have seen a lot of Europeans do is tack on a 3-night weekend cruise with another vacation. Say Disney World a trip a trip to Miami or California. Makes a good half way stop on the way back to rest up! Or just go on 3 back to back cruises to get 10 days on the 3night, 4ight and a 3 night :-)
I was pleasantly surprised by how much more luxurious and spacious the Junior Suite on Jewel felt in comparison to those on Voyager class ships even back in 2013.
Beautiful room. Deck 10 midship is right below the pools and movie screen. Was noise an issue? I see they have those horrible canned waters on your cruise. I had so many problems with the tabs snapping off when I tried to open. I had to puncture the openings with my keys nearly cutting myself. I really miss the bottled water.
Enjoyed your video, heading out on the Brilliance in one of their Jr Suites for an AK cruise next month. Can you tell me/remember, the glass partition on the balcony,...would it open to connect to the other balcony next door? Our neighbors are family so was hoping to open those up and extend during our voyage. Rooms don't connect, hoping the balconies will.
The great thing with these questions is I don't have to remember! It's all on film! Looks like of you are looking out the balcony, the room to the right will open but not the one to the left. Hope y'all have a blast! Great ship to be in AK!
Hey Brandon, stumbled across your video while scoping out rooms on cruisestateroom. We are considering this ship for next (2025/2026) New Years out of San Juan for a Southern Caribbean 7 night itinerary. This would be an itinerary focused cruise so the ship being smaller and older is ok. Thanks again for the helpful info.
Hey there. Great content as always! Question….do you notice the movement of the ship more on one floor than the others? We’ve stayed mid ship on the 7th deck…and been ok. Are the suites all on higher floors? Thanks!
Hey Orren!! I do not notice more movement on higher floors but do notice it more towards the forward or aft sections of the ship. Granted, if she is really rocking, lower floors will be better but everyone will fill it at that point. Location of Suites depends on the class of ship but the older ships with less balconies are more prone to have suites only on the top floor directly under the pool or common areas.
Hey Patricia and thank you!! The "mixers and elixirs" are my supplements I take to aid me in the gym. I started going to the gym and take an assortment of powders with me. Fiber, protein, creating, and a post workout powder. Enough it deserves its own section 😂
Thanks for sharing, im always looking for weekend cruises on a whim when I need to get away. I see that you had protein shakes, do they allow us to bring them on? I know 2 bottle of wine per stateroom.
Hey Jenn, they are pretty cheap at the moment so book away! They do allow you to bring any powder onboard with no issues. I always have protein, creatine, post-workout, and fiber with me. Just the alcohol they get funny about.
The tv should have a small button on the bottom in the very center. You can use this button to pull up a small menu with different selections. Click the button until it pulls up source and then click and hold to change source. Note you must have your cable connected for it to recognize you’re trying to change sources.
Brilliance has a classy feel in general. I love the layout of the Schooner Bar. To me it’s a perfect size ship. That balcony was kind of a bummer though.
The title under the video says Junior Suite 1568. The video description below says Junior Suite 1598. 1598 is a high number, so might be near the stern. I'm guessing 1568 is the correct number.
Hey Al, I have been sitting on this comment for months because I was being lazy! Just went in and verified it was 1568 and corrected so that the title and description match. Thank you for letting me know!
hi brandon, i am new to follow you and love your videos. i solo cruise out of cape liberty on anthem and enjoy every minute. my question for you is how do you pack your powders and supplements? i really do not want to break my routine for my 9 day cruise starting at the end of the week. any help would be appreciated. thank you so much.
Hey Debbie! Completely understand and keeping the routine is key! I have tried a few strategies such as ziploc bags but I have found that I prefer to use hard plastic containers and put them in a reusable grocery bag. If flying, TSA will want to "swab" your bag but there is no limit to the amount of powders you can fly or cruise with. Don't forget to bring a shaker bottle and water bottle!
Would be super awesome if you guys could show the bathtub fully…the edge…the height so if I have a challenged person, I can judge if she can bathe and get over the edge. Just a thought. Thanks😚
Hey Michele, that is a great suggestion! I will see what I can do going forward. I do try to show the tub and the lip most of the time but the bathrooms are small and tough to get a good angle. Would it be helpful if I put something beside of it to give it perspective?
Hey David, I do have a really nice Anker battery pack or charger but for some reason I opted not to use it on this sailing. I think I was already tired and didn't want to get it out of the suitecase? Who knows 😂
Phone charging tip: get yourself one of those rechargeable power banks, charge it on the desk during the day. Unplug it and put it on the bedside table to charge your phone while you sleep at night.
Love the Brilliance! Sailing on her again February 24!
Same!!! Glad you will get to sail on her again!

I’ll be there this Nov too! Thanksgiving cruise ! I’m Rebecca 😊
We’ll be on in Nov 2024 as well, deck 10 port side, can’t wait, woohoo!!!

Yeah, cruise ship food does not alway sit well with me - I choose to blame it on the food and not the quantity I am eating. 😂
@@TheWeekendCruiser You are too funny, Brandon!
We’ll be in 1560 next year. Thanks for the tour
You're going to love it! These are my favorite Junior Suites in the fleet!
Great video Brandon :)
Thanks Tony!
Never been on a cruise, very limited options for weekend cruises in the uk. !!

Right?!!? I literally asked my stateroom attendant do confirm the room category, I didn't believe it was a Junior Suite lol

Noise in this cabin really was not an issue which I was thankful for. Don't hurt yourself on the cans! I do hear that water bottles are coming back.

@@TheWeekendCruiser thanks appreciate it, but we decided on the Seashore for next New Year’s 🛳️
Was our first ship we cruised on, it's very pretty.
Agree! Love it!

You should do a partnership with Royal to promote their weekend cruises.
You have a great on-camera presence
Hey Ernest, I am 100% in agreement!! If you know someone, send them my way! Thank you!!
Hi, thanks for the tour! The Radiance looks beautiful. Wondering what you mean by “mixers and elixirs”? Do you bring things to garnish your drinks?

There are no buttons, I thought the same thing at first but it truly doesn't exist.
@@TheWeekendCruiser that’s wild because I thought they were the same TV’s that are on Freedom and other ships

Agreed, the schooner on Brilliance is excellent! There is a trade-off with every ship!

Were you able to hear the Windjammer or pool above you?
In this room, I really do not remember it being an issue as it has been on other ships.
