Thanks for this. Keep an eye out for Sam Dugdale at Sale particularly over the international window

Reckon Aaron Hinkley could've featured on this list for Saints this year!

No, Blamire is not a back row; Newcastle have an abundance of injuries in the back row and he's second choice at hooker so he's a stop-gap

Fair point. But if circumstances were to continue this way, who is to say that he won't stay at 7 for an extended period? Hense the "one to watch" tag 👀

Sorry Dimitri - but with some of these players, there isn't enough video footage out there to pull together highlights... yet! Besides - Andrew Forde tends to nail the highlights videos pretty well! We do the more informative pieces :)

If your list is all EQP that is great, if not they are a waste of time, either taking the spot of an EQP player from getting into the prem, or preventing an EQP player from ever getting international honours! There are too many overseas players in the prem!!!

An All-English player league may appear like the right option for RFU development. However, scratch a little beneath the surface and huge cracks appear in the plan. Losing overseas talent would see the quality of the Prem deteriorate with players like Pollard, Biggar, Hogg, Rees-Zammit and Harris all playing in either the URC or Top 14. With other leagues getting stronger, the Prem gets weaker. The knock-on effect - less progress in the European cups, less finances, less marketing exposure and a reduction in casual support.
As for development - more minutes may sound great, but if those minutes are against weaker English sides, the players will get a nasty shock when they make the jump up to international. You need to make each Round of the Prem as competitive as possible, otherwise the chasm between club and international becomes too wide to bridge.
There is also the little challenge of convincing club head coaches that they'll need to drop their best players for a guy who might get an England call-up... because their challenge for the Prem title isn't as important than England's Autumn Internationals. Even tougher sell when that coach's job security is highly dependant on match performance
