I think you can make one for the drill.
Some drills have threads on the sides to attach a handle. These would probably make it easier to attach.
Then possibly use a piece of redi rod so you can adjust the distance.
Slip it through something like the loops we use to secure wires inside our boats only better quality.
Double nut it on both sides and it should hold the drill relatively straight for a quick job.
One thing they don't show.
Make sure you leave some tabs holding the first side in place otherwise you will have a nightmare trying to re-align it for the other side.
TBH, I would talk to a professional installer before tackling the job myself.
Whenever you make a 6 inch hole below the water line there are big risks involved.
