Found this after watching your news video..Yesterday, I was in San Juan, PR on Seabourn Quest with the Carnival Venezia docked on the next pier. On its aft side it had “Carnival Fun Italian Style.” I was wondering what it was like … and now I know. I think they did a great refurbishment. 🙏

The Venezia looks awesome. I love that it is different (very Italian) from the rest of the fleet, but still has all tge carnival stuff I love: Guy's Burgers, 555, Ocean Plaza, Piano 88, Bonsai Sushi, and all the amazing Carmival entertainment. Looking forward to going on Venezia out of NYCi in 2025.
Thanks for the tour, Doug! The Venezia is definitely different than other Carnival Cruise ships from the standpoint it comes off as more elegant. All the Italian artwork, marble and sculptures. Even the cabins look classier than the standard Carnival cabin. I do think this creates a quandary that you touched on when you asked long term Carnival cruisers if they liked the ship and how they responded to your question. Carnival cruises equates to more budget friendly cruising and more of the FUN/Party atmosphere. The Venezia looks like it is more upscale cruise ship trying to keep the FUN by using an Italian accent to say it...but the party part is subdued! I don't think this ship fits the average Carnival Cruiser demographic because of the upscale look & feel. Also renaming a lot of the venues/bars/restaurants just so they sound "Italian" loses something in translation. ;-)

My wife and I are taking a cruise out of Manhattan on the Venezia on February 3 2024. Can't wait to see this ship, the Italian theme looks awesome. When I booked the cruise I had no idea it was an Italian theme, we were just looking to get away from the cold weather for 9 days. This is a definite bonus. We were in Las Vegas and ate dinner at the Venetian where they have the Italian theme Gondola, it was a great experience. Can't wait for this cruise!

The Vista class came out so quickly behind The other class of ships I didn’t bother to study and explore. They look lovely. At least Venezia does. Loved the colors. The atmosphere seemed sophisticated but chill, and I love the outdoor spaces on deck 5 ala NCL. My brother and I are considering a cruise on her. This may have just tipped the scale. 🤔🤔🤔🙏🏼. From someone who has cruised many times over the past 20 years, primarily with Carnival this ship does offer some variations to the usual ships and I would be interested trying out the Venezia!
I’ve actually sailed Costa Venezia last fall, right before the transit to Carnival. What I’ve seen in you video is the exact same ship with an exterior paint job en some restaurants and bars that look exactly the same but have been rebranded and renamed. Venezia was made for the Chinese market. It’s an Asian view on how Europe looks in their eyes. I’m European myself (Dutch) but the decor (although marvelous) is way over the top according to my taste. But hey, it’s a holiday vessel so why not make it larger than life! Thx for the tour! Had a pretty special vacation on there!
She is beautiful and I haven’t been on a Carnival cruise ship before, I am going on Carnival Luminosa next year here in Australia 🇦🇺 where I live and I have seen a video of her and I think she is a lovely one too and I love the new livery on the outside too it really makes the ships easily distinguishable too

The pool is so peaceful and fun and so big love how much space there is and it is like a castle on the sea ❤
