- What if the Ryvius and Vital Guarder from "Infinite RYVIUS" was in the traditional Super Robot Wars series? An ability showcase.
Infinite Ryvius is a 26 episode dramatic science fiction with mecha elements. The series follows a spaceship with a crew consisting entirely of students as they struggle to survive and seek rescue. Governance of the ship changes hands and form multiple times throughout the series. It is also notable for its large cast of characters, with various camps of multple being introduced early on and even a number of recurring minor characters being visible throughout the series.
Set in a world where travel through the solar system has become more dangerous due to the spread of hazardous material from the sun, the series primarily follows Kouji Aiba, a student aboard an orbital astronaut school. Following an attack from what are believed to be terrorists, the student body discovers a mysterious spaceship hidden inside the orbital station which they attempt to escape to. However, they remain targeted by the sane enemies.
The Vital Guarder is a humanoid robot used to defend the Ryvius, making it vital to their survival. It possesses a number of attributes that are unusual in robot anime. It is not and cannot be piloted directly by an individual in a cockpit, but is controlled by a team from an attached subship, including a team of programmers. Their instructions to the smaller model of the robot are sent to the Vital Guarder through attached wires. Another unusual attribute is that it houses the majority of the Ryvius' gravitation control abilities, making the main ship largely defenseless when the Vital Guarder is deployed.
The Vital Guarder previous appeared in Super Robot Wars X-Ω, a mobile game featuring tower defense-like gameplay.

Criminally underrated show. One of the best anime ever made. Einwalt was such an unique mecha as well.
Childhood me scared with the Einwalt's arm and leg parts like disclosured muscle. But, feel it is very cool robot design, now!!

This show along with Gear Fighter Dendoh are easily my favorite standalone Sunrise mecha series.
1990's Sunrise, when tv animation quality is in par with OVA.

操作がきつすぎんよ・・・有線だし２５人必要とか・・ヱヴァのアンビリカルケーブルなんて比じゃない

実際にX-Ωで登場しましたが、据え置き型のスパロボのゲームに登場させて欲しいです。

'Course, what with the Vital Guarder being a giant robot in a dimension of its own and all the pluses and minuses that goes with it, suppose it's up to the more traditional giant robots Super and Real to give the BLACK Ryvius some much needed cover fire.
i love Ryvius but if it were in SRW the anime's plot won't even kick in since they were in total communication blackout with the outside world lmao

主人公の弟である相葉祐希の性格は後の平井キャラデザ作品であるスクライドのカズマ、容姿はガンダムSEEDのキラ・ヤマトに受け継がれてます。
