WOW! Thanks for this great video on getting my KDP account back up! Another video I watched said that he has never heard of anyone who got terminated getting their account back, so, I've been freaking out! I don't use email much any more since 99% of my connections are done with text messages. I went to my KDP account and it said I've been terminated! After checking my emails back a couple of months, I saw two emails about fixing the keywords on one of my books. I emailed them back to say that I missed the emails and that if they reopened my account I would fix the problem right away. That was yesterday, so now I'm waiting to see what happens. Your video has given me some hope that all is not lost. THANKS!
Just keep following up and going through the steps in the video. It's all just being persistent.

Thanks you for this video! I have the rights to make an eBook from publisher and upon uploading ebook to kdp it was blocked then when i tried to explain i was rights holder sending contract they terminated my account! I feel

These things happen and most the time it's just automated without any human intervention. Keep following up and follow the steps I talk about in the video.
Great Video that finally offers practical steps, especially with legal solutions.
It looks like since the advent of AI in publishing, the KDP bots haven't been updated correctly and are firing an insane amount of false positives - mostly leading to Terminations rather than Suspensions.
Even IP - Copyright or Trademark - infringments are being handled with kid gloves relative to misleading content. Basically, it's not a objective process.
All internet businesses, digital product and service focused (including TH-cam), are being turned on their head because of AI.
Not sure how POD on Etsy is doing, but it'll probably be similar.
KDP can pull the plug at any time. Competitors having dozens of dummy accounts, and can "complain" about competitors and get their account banned/terminated. Similar to what's been happening on FBA. Im seeing this more and more in the KDP world.
So even these lawyers will have to up their legal approach to KDP the same way they do to FBA.

Thanks for the comment. The reality is these platforms have the control, and they also have access to all the customers, so we need to play their game, but that being said, if you're persistent, I think you'll be fine. I'm sure people on YT run into similar issues that do this stuff for a living.

Thanks Trevor for this enlightenment. On February 25, my kdp account was terminated. They said I was attempting to publish title that has similarity with another work. I have written to them thrice. On March 4, the content review team wrote to me asking for more time to look into the issue. They said I should give them 2-5 business days and they thanked me for patience. Surprisingly, the has long passed and my account has not been opened. I don't know where to turn. This is my main source of income and I have a family of six. Life has not been the same for me since then. All my outstanding royalties have been ceased. I'm mourning the loss of my Amazon kdp account each passing day. It is experience you would wish for your enemy. Please help.
Sorry to hear this has happened to you. Just realize most of these closures are automated without any humans involved and you need to follow the steps in the video. Sometimes the content review team wont be enough and you need to reach out to the other contacts I mentioned.
A big scam. Dont listen to this guy. Becuase Amazon only approve your books after 2 to 7 days of review. Then how comes it against their policy? Don't waste your time and effort in amazon kdp. All your published data will be lost. And they will close account once you get good sales and royalties. They will pay you small amounts but when it comes to good sales, then they will hold the amount with no reason and terminate your account forever. Biggest fraud by Amazon.

I have been terminated and they have never paid me royalties since I opened the account in Oct 2023 they kept saying I have been paid and it was not true and then said they don't accept that bank. Then I changed and delayed payment and now the content people happen to say I put a book in the wrong category in one book and now four days later they have terminated me and I don't know what the reason is. Also I stopped doing the high advertising which put me in loss. I will leave it to you to work out what amazon is doing!!
It’s extremely frustrating dealing with them. Most of the issues seem to happen without a human involved and resolving it can be a huge pain.
I am working with them now, I don't think they stay until it's back, they stay until KDP legal team denies it . I'm scared to death
Everyone I know who has gone the legal route has had success, and they worked with them until the end. Don't stress just do what they ask of you and have some faith it was likely just an AI decision in the first place.

My account was terminated on 14th May. In the email, they stated I operate multiple accounts, which is not true. I have been operating this account since 2022. I have sent two emails and everything I get a reply that they will not reinstate my account. What else can I do?
It's likely just an automated email closure that does not involve any humans. Follow the steps in the video. Two emails is nothing. You need to be persistent.
What if I need someone to work on my account? To upload and list items for me. Is that allowed?
I would suggest that you contact Amazon customer support and ask. It's probably fine, but there could be some confusion around IP addresses and logging in.

I don't fully understand what happened with your account, but did you sign up with false information? There is almost always a way to fix the problem if you reach out to support.
What about a trademark title
You can come back from almost anything if you're honest and consistent. Do whatever you can to correct the error and consistently ask for reinstatement.
You said that you contacted a third-party seller of your book and that conversation was enough to get your account locked. Can you please expand upon that?
Is the book published exclusive on Amazon or non-exclusive? How did Amazon have access to your conversation with this third-party seller?
I've been hit with a couple of suspensions and I fear a looming closure of my account even though I've done everything in my power to become client and have received nothing but forum responses from the compliance team.
They knew because the conversation was through their platform. My advice to you is just to comply with the changes they request and follow KDP's terms the best you can to avoid any issues. You will likely never have your account closed but if it happens these steps will work.

The killer is the complete lack of response. I'm in a pretty weird spot with my books and as far as I can tell all I get are automated responses.
I've now been required to remove my books from all categories. Which makes no damn sense.
In an attempt to comply as best I can, I've also removed all the key words. Because if they think the two categories I was in was misleading, my keywords would also have to be misleading.

It really depends on your case but average is probably around $1300 in total.

Yes I have spoken with multiple people now and River Bend seems to be the most popular. It doesn’t matter what country you’re in they can help you get reinstated and get owed royalties back.

That's what happens when you take shortcuts. "Why would I build an email list when I can pay (insert safe service/way/review-train) to get reviews" lol....Okay okay I admit when it comes to amazon anything is good to terminate you lol. Although in their defense no one reads their terms fully, it's not even allowed to have a lead magnet inside the e-book haha yet everyone and their neighbor's dog do it.

But it said something like “any external links disrupting the reader’s experience” etc They said hyperlinks are accepted only if they “enhance the readers experience directly”….imagine if you wrongly interpret that. I guess you could say giving a lead magnet bonus away enhances the experience but if it’s only against your email then that’s kinda hostage situation. Anyways don’t worry I guess amazon don’t enforce that rule much but if they want to get rid of you they could enforce it anytime and say vaguely that “you breached their content guidelines” etc

Yes, just respond as they have asked, and it should get cleared up in 24 hours if it's just a temporary measure. You can't upload trademarked content like Pokemon, or you will definitely get your account closed or sued. That book will be permanently blocked.
