Thanks mate, Those descriptions were a big help to me. Im new to mig welding and I was wondering if I can go from a Binzel style 25 tip holder & nozzle down to a 15 tip holder & smaller nozzle. I have a Weldclass 180 mst unit & I need to get the nozzle into a small opening but the 25 is way too big. I guess I could remove the nozzle altogether because I will be using flux core wire (gasless) but it would be difficult for me not to short it out on the surrounding metal.
@@petestools I've just bought myself my first welder and I needed new tips and such and was struggling with getting it all changed out. And I feel stupid but as soon as you said left handed thread I felt abit dumb and now I'm almost ready to go!
I'm a total welding newb, so sorry if my question reflects this. But if you have a small 160 amp machine with the Euro connector, can you use the bigger torches, or should you stick with the MB15? Reason i'm asking is, that the MB15 only comes with a max of 4 meter hose, and would really like to have 5 meters.
Hi peter,You can use a bigger torch as long as it has the same euro connectors ,As a rule you can use bigger torches on smaller machines but not smaller torches on bigger machines because you will burn them out with the bigger amperages thoses machines produce. Thanks pete.
@@petestools Thank you for clearing that up for me :). Guess i have to consider if the small wire feed motor will be able to handle the extra drag on the wire, of the longer hose. Sometimes it's hard to have more time than money, having to get the most out of budget alternatives. Then again - buying expensive stuff makes you miss out on finding a gem for next to nothing :).
Hi good job on the video. In a previous video you said were going to build of a plasma cutter made from an old buzz box welder. What happened to that project?
Really liked this video. Straight to the point, no bull baffling. Thank you, I have now subscribed.
nice thanks
