Did you try to run this project with external power Supply. Not with laptop or pc usb power. 5 v dc power Supply.

For the newer people watching this, I had to use version 1.0.0 for this to work as expected. Getting the newest version(~3.x) may cause issues

you have to get different codes for every button. you just replace them with yours
i don't fined unique code. every time i press a button and its show me different value in every single press . i can not fined appropriate value on serial monitor. please give me a solution.

hello i have done decoding of remote -but on serial monitor some values automatically appears when i press remote button it show me remote code. but after tht some values continuously appears on serial monitor. i think when i press remote button only that time some values should appear only.
which kind of remote are you using? And then when decoding you should not press the remote button for too long because if you observe in the tutorial when you press the button for long you get some very long numbers that appear continuously yet we are interested in the shorter codes. I can't find on my IDE in File > examples, neither in Sketch > library > Librarymaster > Decode_IR ... cliq ... the screen of the IDE gives on his tab: "mar26a" .. (??) ... but OK.... verify: OK than upload: OK ..... wishfull to the Monitor ( COM5), push a button of the remoter.....NOTHING. :(

make sure u have the IRremote library included in your Arduino IDE.
How will i know if i have IRremote?
What I've done to get around this is to download the Arduino-IRremote-master zip from githup, open the folders until i find the IRremote.H. I then select all the files in the folder and compress them into a new zip file. After all that, you can goto, in Arduino IDE, sketch, include library, add.Zip library. Then select the new zip you've made and it automatically adds the .H file to your library list. Seems to work okay. On some .H and .CPP files you'll need to update the paths/dirrectories where some things are found.
