Tinkercad circuits are amazing, fun and FREE! I also love that you can learn principles without the fear of breaking real components. This is a fun lesson that uses a the IR remote to control LED's. How many can you light up? Have a glorious day and keep Tinkering!

Thanks a bunch for doing my Homework ;)
You better get an a. If not let me know and I'll come down and chat with the teacher. Lol
It's nice teaching. Thanks for the video and if possible can you use separate push buttons for each led and ir remote both to control LEDs
Thank you. Are you asking for a combo that has normal push buttons and LED push buttons?
Wonderful Explanation!
Thanks @yatilahoty187 for the note. User feedback really makes my day. 💯👍
Quick heads up... they changed how it works. here is the updated tutorial. th-cam.com/video/eNNjainyT8Q/w-d-xo.html
Thank you!!
My pleasure Fernando Silva. Thank you for the feedback! 👍💯
thank u i combined ur lcd and led exp to complete my project
Awesome Keerthireddy Challa! I love to hear creative uses of the vids like that!
😁
Thank you!!! The way you explain is easy to understand. But, the code does work with the new version 4.x. Could you fix it, please?
Thanks for reaching out. I created this video for how to work with the IR remote in 2023. th-cam.com/video/eNNjainyT8Q/w-d-xo.html It should get you back on the right track.
You should mention code in description!!
It is the 5th line down... the Sketch.
thank u somuch .....
My pleasure Sanjog Kumar Barik. Thank you for the feedback! 👍💯
Can you please show me the real sample of this project by the realistic Orduino cutt… cuz it worked out perfectly with me on tinkercad but not on the realistic Orduino cutt unfortunately👾
Sorry, I have only made this one in the Tinkercad simulator.
Thanks but all the codes sent by the remote are the same number??? Anyone else finding this
problem?
I am working in this issue with TInkercad Devs. Hope to have something released tomorrow. Thanks for the nudge.
same problem here

What does the key mean and can i make up one to connect more Led‘s ?
They key is the button on the remote. Yes, you can add a bunch of LED's too it.
You are so nice!
Thanks @E_yad for the feedback! 👍
what do those long numbers in the code represent ?what do they mean?
I am not sure which numbers you mean. Someone else created that code... I just play with it. If you want to send me a snippet via email I will take a look though. hlmodtech gmail is the way to reach me.
@@HLModTech in the code (void loop) where it's mentioned case 16582903: Serial.println ("1").
this 16582903 means what?what does it represent?
It is the "name" the button is associated with... or the code that gets sent.
@@HLModTech 🥰🥰thanks
@@elielepetit8107 16582903 is the decimal conversion of the hexadecimal value associated with that specific key of the button. Basically 16582903 is just referring to key "1" on the remote, you can convert it back to hexadecimal if you'd like to get the original value associated with the key
Why the first line of the code #include is not working
I would guess you have something else messed up. That is a built in library.
Thank you!
it's showing error sir,
in function void loop, lcd is not declared in this scope
Shoot me an email with a share link and I will take a look at it. hlmodtech @ gmail to find me. You can also try the discord if you would like. discord.com/invite/TASA8MWjnx
the does not work anymore is there anyway to create a new one?
The top line of the description takes you to the updated steps.
i dont understand the condition for the if statement
Thanks for reaching out. I created this video for how to work with the IR remote in 2023. th-cam.com/video/eNNjainyT8Q/w-d-xo.html It should get you back on the right track. The if statement was checking to see if there ware a new IR code received, then decoding which button it was associated it.
Please,Give me the code !
I think it’s in the description.
This is an older version of "decode". How would this be modified given the updated library?
The function decode(&results)) is deprecated and may not work as expected! Just use decode() without a parameter and IrReceiver.decodedIRData. .
Thanks for the note. Let me do some digging.
So I just tested and mine still works fine. Thanks for the tips on how to correctly use decode() now. 💯🔥
@@HLModTech It does function but will generate error messages as written. Here is a good video that outlines the changes to v3.0.0. - th-cam.com/video/9cJT-tfODsg/w-d-xo.html
Found an even better one - th-cam.com/video/Db2mxIdTo2Y/w-d-xo.html
@John Fellers - Thank you very much! This was the only explanation on the internet.
give me the code please
They are in the description....
It's not working now.
I just tested mine. I had to adjust the numbers to match what the keys were sending... but it still works. When you turn on serial monitor you will see the code that is associated with each button. Copy that and paste it in the loop to make your lights work.
@@HLModTech all the buttons of ir remote are sending the same value , any solution for this ?
@@yashpatil6184 same case here brother, all numbers giving same value, did u find any solution??
same here, someone found a solution?@@prajwalnayak3036
