That soprano deserves alot of credit for hitting those notes and maintaining them. It's not easy to put that much power in a high note especially as you get older.

Ashley Mazanhi as a trained and professional opera singer, it depends on the fach of the singer. I train vocalists as well and I have women much older than 40 still hitting those notes because they are light coloraturas and that’s their range! La Stupenda sang way beyond 40.

A masterpiece ✨
I used to watch this every morning in bed with our little boy. He was 2 and mesmerized by it all. Somehow we stopped watching it (at age 3.5 ) when his little bother was born. Today I played it and my son (now 6!) came running, leaning his head on my chest. Holding my hand. He listened very carefully and squeezed my hand with kate’s beautiful high notes. When it stopped he turned, smiled and went back to play with his thomas trains. No words. Magic 😊

I love how there's three love songs that focus on three types of love. I See the Light is a romantic song, You'll Be In My Heart is a parental love song and Go the Distance is about acceptance and love from society.

+Chris McLane the chord has a lot of dissonance. Not everything is going to be just major/minor chords. That would just get boring. The chord they sang has a lot of tension and wants to resolve. That's why it's even more satisfying whenever they do eventually resolve it.
+Chris McLane What they did there was on purpose. It's called dissonance, and is meant to add suspense before the resolve, final chord. I do agree that they should have held it out longer, mostly cuz I didn't want it to end. XD

I stumbled across this video years ago and I come back every so often for a listen. The talent in the studio is absolutely off the charts ! That same emotion is clearly shared by the young man in the duo who's expressions are a dead giveaway that he's as equally blown away by Voctave and just ecstatic to be in that room.
Honestly, nothing beats the old school Acappella. It is still the best and most beautiful thing to listen to.
