Nick, that was quite possibly your best video yet. The talk you gave as you walked gave us a brilliant, raw insight into why and how you have done all of these videos for us. I thought it was fantastic mate. I confess that I only watched your walk there. I got tired and couldn't do the scooter ride back. I just wish you would have stated that Molly is an Evertonian!!
Top man Nick, its good that you listen to viewers requests.
Soon to be “Top Gun Nick” 👍
Hi Nick, would it be possible to film buildings around the new stadium and any proposed bars, restaurants etc which will be opening due to the stadium. It would be great to see that area regenerated as a result of the stadium. Thanks.
Nick, great work , do we know if there are plans to have someone open the new ground. My money would be to have Speedo Mick do it.
Away supporters, and maybe some Everton supporters would go to Bramley Moor on the train so a walk from Lime Street to Bramley Moor might be an idea, if it's possible
Moorfields would be better, and Sandhills
@@DuncTheBlue1878 i think Nick has done Sandhills ?
@@peterdavis3934 Must have missed that episode. On foot or by drone? How long did it take him?
..or Moore fields station to bmd?
I have been to Goodison many times but I don't know the Bramley Dock area or public transport in Liverppol and since Lime Street is, I think, the point of entry into the city when using a train that is why I mentioned that station. if there are closer stations to Bramley Moor then that info would be a great benefit to supporters from outside the Liverpool area who travel to games using public transport. and doing a walk from the nearest station to the new stadium would be helpful to some visiting fans.
Nice song for the way back.
Nice video as always nick.
Thank you
Nice song for thw way back.
Nice video as always nick.
Thank you
Praying that the wonderful 1878s or others get together and organise a full march from Goodison to Bramley Moore to welcome in the new era. Imagine 1000's of blues marching that route 💙
Great video Nick, wow those scooters are fantastic, are they free to use? I wish they did them in my town.
I do this walk from goodison to boundary street every home game🤪I will be buzzing when new stadium opens but will miss our grand old lady🥲👍🏽
Amazing video, thanks a lot! What I would love to see is a video of a walk from Lime Street Station via Hillsborough Memorial, Mathew Street, Albert Dock and Pierhead all the way to BMD. I feel like this would be a typical walk of someone coming in for a game to also see the best part of the town.
Well done Nick another iconic video for us blue noses.👍👏👏 The original and the best, often copied never beaten.👍
How about visiting Merseyside's other football grounds? Marine, Prescot etc. Great video.
Thoroughly enjoyed both ways. Thank you.
As a non local that was a great video Nick thanks a lot mate
Brilliant love it Nick, enjoyed your mini adventure going past places I knew well in my old days, I lived in Kirkdale back in the late 50's through 1970's walked to Goodison from Harebell street a little closer as I remember great job😂
Hi Nick, really enjoyed the walk video. As we have thousands of toffees that never get a chance to go to Goodison. What about a video walking the timeline around the old lady. Many fans will not be aware of the incredible history of this famous old ground. From the start walking slowly it may take a few videos. I honestly think other fans would be interested also. So many firsts and as we all know. It will be gone before we know it. Good luck with all your new ventures. In my book you are a super toffee. Terry
Hi i really enjoyed your walk from goodison Park to bramley more dock Everton stadium 🏟 💙 😀 its is fabulous i watch every minute of your video thankyou mister drone.
Wow, that was amazing Nick. When I visited there one time, I walked down to the ferry boat to go across the river. I'm not sure I did that route, but it is a cool walk. Really interesting looking at the area. Looks a bit rough in places, however, looks like there is a lot of improvement done for houses etc. I due over there for a holiday (leave Monday NZ) Sorry my timing isn't good for when they start to play at Bramley Moore dock, but maybe in a couple of years time another visit! Thanks again for a neat walk.
Great video Nick. Love the songs on the scooter on the way back. 🍻
8.38 you get to the place I was born Royal st great vid up the toffees
Thanks Nick, interesting to see how much peoples pre-match habits will change. Always enjoyed a pint in The Spellow and the Winslow . Will all the pubs around Goodison survive without match day money? Hope they do as they have been part of the Goodison experience. Leaving is going to be sad.
Great video. Followed your recommendation to watch your first video of BMD. It was surreal and also had something missing in common with this video - your trademark announcements of the date 🙂
Morning Nick,
A stunning video, I do understand what your saying about people not wanting to leave Goodison Park, because, they are probably in seats their, fathers, grandparents and great grandparents, uncles and aunts have all graced Goodison Park at different times throughout its history. But I think once they have moved over to BMD, they will be much happier about the move, also the volume will go up a few notches.
Yes and amazing walk, pity about the rubbish enroute, and a good ride back to Goodison Park BZ
Stephen
Keep your good work up I’m not been down that part of Liverpool for long time. Nice to see where I used to walk my dogs when I was living down there
Thank you for this interesting video. Also very interesting is that there are no trees in your streets.
Well done mate, your putting a shift in. Your right about the scale. I'm from wallasey so I go down by the eggy ferry and I've taken my family down there and they are amazed at the size and scale. Ta for all you do xx
Another great watch & listen Nick. Thanks for doing that mate. Looking forward to the balloon trip and the Jet, great ideas.
Great video Nick 😊 UTFT,,,, an at least you don't ride the scooter like most people on an off the pavement and through red lights 😀
enjoyed that, cheers pal.
Loved that!
Fabulous
Nice one mate brill
Top stuff, Nick! Really enjoyed that!
Boss idea for a video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Very good mate
Lovely stuff Nick. One thing I love about the location is it really is just a brisk 20 minute walk from the city centre - easy, and even better if you're stopping along the way for a refreshing beverage.
And although there are a lot of guys trying to eat from your plate we will subscribe your videos mate 👍
Thanks mate 🙏
Great vid and nice to hear your (extended) thoughts. You're right about the camera not giving the sense of the size of the new stadium: we had the long running question of 'will the team buses fit under the North Stand?' when a bus/articulated truck is less than 3 metres wide and the gap between the stadium and the black pillars is about 7 metres. I think even those of us that have geeked out over the plans will be shocked at the amount of interior space - the North Stand, from NE to NW corner is nearly twice the length of the Gwladys St. The whole of Goodison Park would fit inside the seating bowl (with room to spare) at Bramley Moore Dock. I'll definitely be sad to see us move - as I live abroad now I've probably been to my last match at Goodison already - but if Everton is to do more than just survive, the stadium has to earn money outside of matchdays and Goodison will never be able to do that.
Thanks for the great video
i think new stadium very beautiful
A nice change Nick, thanks👍
Thanks Steven 👍🏻
Great video Nick, I loved it 👌
Hahahaha. Enjoyed the scooter ride back 😂
There is a quicker way.. Great work as usual…
Brilliant video Nick.
hi Nick, great video as usual as a exiled blue living in east anglia, would it be possible to do a walk from town to the new ground showing all the pubs on route (if any left!) and do any busses go along that way, thanks
Very good Nick
A fighter-jet? "Talk to me, Goose!" 😎
Great video nick, I love the Everton flags on the lampposts going up Walton, I hope they do the same all the way up regent road to bramley moore
Great video mate, didn't actually think the 2 stadiums was as close as I am not from there👍
Great video Nick didn’t look too bad. Wonder if some of the pubs around goodison would do a bus for the games so you keep drinking in that area. Would be a good idea if no one is. Just a thought…
Good video Nick 👏
Hi Nick, thanks for the video. Fantastic. But on your point about the demolition of Goodison. This should not be allowed to happen. It is a cultural landmark in the city with a history stretching back two centuries. If it is demolished, it will be akin to the council's short sighted demolition of the original Cavern Club in the eighties. This is one time that Historic England should intervene.
It’ll definitely be demolished, I’m afraid.
“Goodison Legacy Project is a new mixed-use regeneration scheme consisting of ten new development blocks on the land currently occupied by the existing Goodison Park Stadium in Liverpool. The scheme includes affordable and social housing, a community health and medical centre, residential care, an enterprise building, a new education centre, offices, community-focused retail, three residential towers and a park.”
Chris: EFC will redevelop it and so long as the significant memorabilia is retained then that should be enough. Although you have to speculate to accumulate, it should also provide EFC with some additional profits to reinvest. Just keeping it as a rather run-down stadium will cost even more than it already does to maintain it. It wouldn't be good use of funds. Sentimentality, whilst absolutely understandable, doesn't pay well.
Thank you Nick, great vid, 👍✌️
is it???
@@totohalenforden9937 Yes it was knobhead
Cant believe u been on here that long check and see if i been following ya that long lol. X
We definitely need to move from Goodison Park to keep up with the rest of the Premier League for income on Matchday Tickets, Season Tickets, Hospitality Tickets, Conferences, Coperate Events, Concerts and other Events that come with having a 'State of the Art Stadium '..Were virtually at the bottom of the League in comparison with the money we take in at Goodison each year..!! BMD will be an absolute cash-cow and game changer for Everton in revenue funds/funding and we'll be able to compete with the best earners in the Premier League..Also the pull for the best footballers to play in this magnificent Stadium will help massively..!! And when the European Championships comes to Everton it will put the Club and Stadium in the forefront for future events including European Club Finals..Its an absolute win-win and to top it all off it's on 'The Banks Of The Royal Blue Mersey 💙 💙💙..MERSEYSIDE IS BLUE 💙💙💙
Mice one Nick it brings to life the distance between the two stadiums. I know a lot of people are feeling the parking will be difficult at the new stadium. Maybe compare the parking options with current and new stadium and bring to life what you know about the parking options will be.
Gave me an idea for a nice jog from Goodison to BMD there Nick, one thing I noticed, do you think they’ll take those lamppost banners to the new lampposts at Bramley Moore, you can see they have the same fittings on them
Nick ur a legend!!!!!!
Uv.......
Im speachlesss
Im going through lot of pain this past 3 yrs now
Sorry to share and i know for sure that thats boring and none of anyones bussines
Im actually shaking now
No problem at all. I hope you are well.
GREAT VID Nick, Englands walking CHAMPEEN!!
Nick, Are the various fans group thinking of a march from Goodison to Bramley more when the gates finally close at Goodison. 👍🏻😀
Fast walk that. You right arm was giving it some swing. I've done the walk myself both to Netherfield Road, Great Homer Street and Scotland Road where I've parked and also when I lived by the tunnel. And no the camera doesn't do it justice the view when you're going down Boundary Street. There's a lot of pics that have been taken on Twitter that does show it though. Almost looks like a big ship on the Mersey.
Thanks for the natter! Would love to see the walk from say James St to Bramley Moore?
39 days left, for the opening of the Everton Stadium
Brilliant vid
I thought ull talk all yer emotions about the diff between the two stads
And how it wuold be in the new one at Everton fc host home games matches days
Great mind think alike
Thanks again
Nice video Nick how about doing a walk from prince Rupert's tower to the new ground
Hi Nick great vid as always, you asked for ideas on vids you could do , how about you start in Everton Park .if you walk across towards ST GEORGE'S CHURCH , you get a great shot of the Stadium, fans can get the 19 bus or the 17 get off at the park , you can also see Sandhills station, then take the walk down to the Fantastic Stadium it's only probably a 15 minute walk ,(just a different walk but on a nice day it'll be a great way to get to the ground ) UTFT 😎
Takes me about 20mins walking from Goodison to boundary street
Will be a good video this particularly for our international fans I guess.
cool vid on the channel nice vid on the nice vid on the channel cool vid thanks lee
At least with all the suggestions we’ll keep you fit Nick😀
Do Moorfields, Central or Lime Street to the stadium Nick.
If this one gets enough views and interest I will 👍🏻
@@misterdroneuk Nice one. Be interesting to know what the walk time is from the stations.
I've walked various routes from the BMD gates to Lime Street and it can be anything between 35-40 minutes depending on road traffic. I think the plan is to continue with the 919 Soccer buses between Lime Street and the new stadium. Presumably, it will have an increased frequency as currently it's only every 7/8 minutes.
@@brianmadden9754 Interesting mate, cheers. Would be good to know how long the walk from Moorfields or Central would take us. Probably not a trek to be done in the cold and rain.
Super video fella
I’d say walk from where I live(Whitehaven) to the new stadium but only joking!
How about city centre to the new stadium? Is it possible to walk along right next to the river???
Not yet but hopefully possible when the Liverpool Waters development is complete
Do not get me wrong please. Everything is nice and tidy. Just different. 👍
Geniune shaking
Soory if it sounds weird
Iv got tears
👍👍
Google maps can put people off walking as their estimated times for walking are way off. A few months ago I walked from the new stadium back to Albert Dock with my 10 year old son who wouldn’t walk as fast as me & wouldn’t be mad about long walks. Google maps said 45 minutes but we did it in about 30 minutes & we took our time
Great vid mate, really enjoyed it, will Everton sell the seats from goodison ? only i saw lfc seemed to be dumping their old seats, missed opportunity there commercialy, and nostalgic interest must be high in the number of fans wanting one .
Love your videos watch them all the time and I’m subscribed can you please send a link to that music oh what a glorious day please UTFT💙
If before this someone said to me that I might find a video of a fairly mundane electric scooter ride interesting, I'd tell them they were barking. How wrong! I enjoyed the tempo of the ride and the music and I applaud your safe driving skills. A few months ago one of my friends and the pedal bike he was riding in the bike lane, got completely destroyed by a youth riding 2-abreast with his mate. Fortunately 2 medics arrived and then the Police, who discovered the youth had no driving licence, so confiscated it.
It seems you have quite a few adrenalin rushes prepared. I look forward to seeing the results.
I expect what many others will appreciate, Nick, is to be able to imagine what they might do on match-day, whether using Train, Bus, Ferry or the nearest established Car Parks? Then sprinkle in the hostelries located on the routes? That'll be quite a challenge for you, even if you have a year or so to get that covered.
great nick i heard man utd may want to rent goodison park so they can rebuild old trafford keith wymess has stated
Our former chief executive talking absolute nonsense again.
@@DuncTheBlue1878 Hmm, quite. He seems to be garrulous at the moment. I don't know why his spouts keep being picked up on and repeated as if worthy of being considered 'expert'.
Thanks mate
Tough times
Sorry
Ur geniune
Kinda the route of 20/21 bus route from town
How much are the scooters
You could have done a shorter route if you went Spellow/Westminster/Lambeth/Sandhills/Regent....Nick..Then you could've shown Sandhills Station...Good walk though
Meet molly n the sleepover
Its the Pits mate
Interesting video. It does show just how dishevelled and run down much of the city is though.
I've mentioned this idea on a few other Everton related videos, but seeing how you mentioned the demolition of Goodison Park, I thought I would drop it here for consideration too.
Rather than demolish the old stadium, how much better it would be if, once Everton leave, it has been deconsecrated and is no longer Everton's home, would it not be better to see it shared by the two ladies teams, of Everton and Liverpool? There would be all sorts of issues to resolve, but on principle, what do people think f the suggestion?
Goodison Park is way too important to just see it demolished, but like with most things, it would need a viable alternative use.
Who would fund the huge maintenance costs?
@@williamwatson228 As I said, there are many issues to resolve, but to my mind a cost-benefit analysis to see if the ground share would be feasible is better than just seeing it demolished without any consideration of potential future uses. If the women's game grows as expected then the two teams will be needing some sort of stadium solution in the future.
One thought that I had is that the top tier of the main stand could be dismantled, which would cut long term maintenance costs, but..... it is just a thought!
Was there a war in that area?
What are they gonna do with the old ground mate ?

@@DuncTheBlue1878 very good sounds like not an inch will go to waste , but even as a Red it will be sad to see this historic stadium go the great nights of the 80s & early 90’s the new Stadium looks awesome & will bring some much needed revenue to the people & the City .
Will anyone be able to register for the scooters i.e from lime street / city centre -
i am pritty sure your walk out your way you could have walked down westmister road right past the shops on the 3rd block take a right near the school if its still and it leads you to stanley road come out near stanley road police shop or near the pits walk down the road that leads to the new ground you must be walking half mile or so out your way you would have to drive it nick as i am not sure of the road names or yould cold walk down sandhills but am sure the will be a road futher up or walk all the way down westmister road turn right that leads to stanley cross over there is a pub on corner that would lead you to the ground i think i dont drive i just guessing but am pritty sure
as i have walked that way coming home from the graffdon as i have been unable to get a cab
