I visited many times as a child with my family, and loved the ski jump, the rink, the massive fireplace, old stone and great timber, but then the dreaded modernization happened in the 70's, and it was never quite the same, IMO - glad to see it has finally gotten the updating it deserves - the Hudson Valley is a majestic place, and Bear Mountain Inn should remain one of its jewels

Great story. Like so many of our great parks it has the trouble of being loved to death.

Looks like someone taking a picture of a picture and their reflection is on the glass.

Turn the place into up scale restaurant that most public can’t enjoy.

Yea it’s very disturbing how $ takes over the place was beautiful during the Holliday season I was employed for the park many years ago and part of the extra work was decorating the Inn preparing the massive wreath hollowing out the massive Yule log. There is absolutely nothing not even remotely close to how beautiful IT WAS.. the train layouts were beautiful the gingerbread houses people built so much effort and dedication folks put in. The fireworks so much if you never saw this you missed something amazing. Now look what greed and MORE GEEED congratulations to the management of the park on wonderfull job of doing nothing but rake in money for themselves!!!!!!
