His Alfred is exactly the Alfred I grew up on. It’s perfect. The kind of Alfred that makes Bruce some French onion soup in a bread bowl while remotely flying the Batwing.
I think so too. He looks like him and is British like Tony Jay. If they casted him for that role this guy played the two best villains in the history of Disney.
Whenever I listen to his voice I'm reminded of my memories of watching him in Lolita playing Humbert Humbert. Ever since that day, I felt hopelessly in love with his voice.😍
Jeremy Iron was quite clear on the fact that he have never read the comic (never were a comic fan to begin with). So he is likely to be unaware that was in the comic all along.
@@scwhk1 Which still makes it neat that he dialed into that without that deep seeded idea. Also, I didn't he was a combat medic, I thought he was like a spy for MI:6 or former special forces.
Sweet Karma I loved Michael Gough too, who was the original Alfred from he tim burton and even those horrid Schumacher movies. He was a wonderful Alfred, as is Jeremy Irons.
I want him to be in all batman movies and when they invade the batcave or the mansion and he starts shooting fools with his shotgun cause everyone knows alfred when it comes down he will take out someone to protect bruce
Everyone saying "oh his voice would be so different now, he couldn't play scar again." Well here ya go! Perfect scar voice still. And so much better then the new one.
I have seen that excuse to him not being Scar again too. He's too old now, yet James Earl Jones is like 18 years older (give or take) than Jeremy and he can reprise his role? Lol nonsense. As proven in this video.
If I remember correctly, in the 90's cartoon we learn Alfred was ex-British Forces (can't remember the exact branch), so it was nothing new to me. There was even an episode where he used his old skills, I think. Plus it's been mentioned numerous times he was a military medic.
When I first saw the Lion King, I was probably about 13... I admired Scar, because he has the coolest voice and amazing lines. I didn't really care about anyone else but Timon and Pumba. 😂 I knew his name, but couldn't think of any movie he was in at the time. I finally saw a movie and heard his voice. I remembered he was in M. Butterfly. I really recognized him in Die Hard With A Vengeance. He's one of the best baddies on screen. Love this man.
I think he would have made a very good Ras Al Ghul just cause I could defiantly hear scars voice coming from Ras and it fitting more perfectly than it probably should
Chris Hemsworth once talked about those cold water machines that they plug into actors' costumes on set too. He said it looked like Thor was wearing a catheter. XD
Everyone is ‘Scar.’ Too young for DieHard 3, The French Lieutenant’s Woman; The Mission; The Time Keeper; Beautiful Creatures….& on. Saw him play Richard the 2nd at the Barbican. Bloody spell binding. A real treasure & charming in interviews. ❤❤
Yeah Iron's Scar was probably one of the best parts of the original Lion King, to have Jones as Mufasa and not Irons as Scar hurts even more because it was so close to being awesome but just falls short and fails miserably
A Batman Story "The Perpetual Joke" I always imagine Alfred being the real Golden Age BATMAN. As time goes by his body is not able to keep up and at some point a bad guy kills Patrick Wayne "Bruce Wayne's Grandfather" in a failed robbery attempt. Batman kills the robber and saves a young Thomas Wayne and his Mother. Later Thomas Wayne's mother knowing who Batman really is hires Alfred as a body guard for there family and to teach Thomas Wayne everything he knows giving us the "Silver Age Batman". As the story moves forward the JOKER co.es into playand discovers Batman's secret Idenity and ambushes Thomas and His Wife outside a Movie Theater leaving Bruce alive. Alfred now being Bruce Wayne legal Guardian vows to end the Batman legacy but as a sole request from a young Bruce Wayne he asked Alfred to teach him everything he knows and out of respect Alfred does so and doing the last deed for the last time as the Golden Age Batman and in doing so gives us the Modern Age Bruce Wayne Batman and the only Batman on Earth who knows the Jokers true identity a identity he keeps to himself vowing to never to capture or kill the JOKER only to always hunt him and make every second of his life a living hell. As for the JOKER he vows to never kill BATMAN only to hunt him and make everyday of his life a living hell, the Joker needs BATMAN in his life in order to stay alive and from keeping himself from becoming totally insane, giving us the Story "The Perpetual Joke"
im sorry Sir Caine, i cried within your monologue of Batman but its time to move on, this is really interesting take on Alfred because its one of the alterations that we havent seen it (ex military man)
All I hear is the voice of Scar from Lion King. Can't believe they didn't ask him to return for the live action remake.
ScionStorm they probably did and he said no or couldn’t because of scheduling conflicts
For real. It's a fucking crime! Jeremy Irons is as much Scar as James Earl Jones is Mufasa!
Two-Face actually he said he was sad when they didn't ask
It’s a complete travesty
ScionStorm they wanted more African American people as they should to be fair
This guy is blessed with one of the best voices of all time.
His Alfred is exactly the Alfred I grew up on. It’s perfect. The kind of Alfred that makes Bruce some French onion soup in a bread bowl while remotely flying the Batwing.
That haircut is probably the greatest haircut I've ever seen.
In Die Hard it had to be bleached & shaped constantly. Kind of like Spike in Buffy. Pretty painful.
Close your eyes, you can hear Seth interviewing Scar.
jetman189 this now makes me laugh😂😂
😂😂😂 this made my day 🤣
I was kind of waiting for a "PAY ATTENTION! My words are a matter of pride" the entire time
Scar not being able to be tech savvy
Jeremy Irons stole every scene he is in with his engineer alfred with military background. His humor is alo top notch.
This man would be a fantastic Frollo in a live-action Hunchback of Notre Dame.
I think so too. He looks like him and is British like Tony Jay. If they casted him for that role this guy played the two best villains in the history of Disney.
On one hand - no to more disney remakes. On the other hand - mother may I 😂 Jeremy and bad guys are always awesome even if the movies aren't 🤔
YES!!! HE WOULD BE A WONDERFUL FROLLO!!!
YES
Damn what a great idea. Please let this happen.
He is adorable! Such a wonderful actor! I could listen to him all day. Just a handsomely, wonderful man.
Jeremy Irons is a Fantastic Actor and His Scar Voice in Interviews is My Favorite Thing About Him
I think The Lion King has traumatized me against his voice.
well for God's sake don't watch "Damage" or "Dead Ringers" then. Please. They won't help AT ALL
But do watch Man In The Iron Mask. It doesn’t help. But it’s great.
Whenever I listen to his voice I'm reminded of my memories of watching him in Lolita playing Humbert Humbert. Ever since that day, I felt hopelessly in love with his voice.😍
Hands down he has one of the best accents and voice !
Give this man's voice an Oscar first and foremost, and then himself one too.
I wish we could’ve had more of Jeremy Irons as Alfred because he nailed it.
i’m really sad he won’t be voicing scar in the new lion king ):
and the new scar sucks :(
Nobody can replace him for scar
You can blame the forced diversity/far left identify politics for that
Charm, talent, brain, kind heart, handsome face and well built body,. you all got it my dearest Jeremy Irons,. I love youuuuuuuuu forever.
Jeremy irons is the man!!! I really love his style
Plus His Voice is Fantastic and Scar Pops in My Head Whenever I Hear Him In Interviews!
If Alfred had the money, he would be Jeremy Irons Man!
ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahah
He would be an actor not able to play past roles because of the color of his Skin yay.......
or Jarvis could be a real person like he is in canon 616 comics
I only hear Scar's voice. I'm actually kinda disappointed that he's not in the 2019 Lion King.
I dont know... but am i the only one that thinks he is hot?
👌🔥🔥🔥
He has the sexy voice and accent. Imagine him whispering in your ear 🤤🤤🤤🤤
he's my daddy omg
Um, def not. Join he club hunty!!!
😏😏😏😏😏 ikr
I like Scar's voice, especially when he said, "you have no idea."
I thought Alfred was already former military... this just proves it's a real thing tho
combat medic, i believe
Yep, combat medic since forever. It's how he's able to patch up Bruce all the time.
The fact that he wasn’t even contacted to play Scar in the Live Action is beyond me.
Forget Alfred and Scar, if you haven't watched him in The Borgias, you haven't lived.
Crunchy Chips Omg he was great in that series, too bad it didn't last long.
I love him in the Borgias. HIs family was freakin nuts! I think he was more sane than the rest of them. LOL
what a legend
Best on screen Alfred ever
Sweet Karma Yup. Goes right along with the best Batman...😁😁
Doudymac Yup, shame the movies haven't been perfect but both Irons and Batfleck betrayal just gel perfectly
Agreed
Michael Caine
Sweet Karma I loved Michael Gough too, who was the original Alfred from he tim burton and even those horrid Schumacher movies. He was a wonderful Alfred, as is Jeremy Irons.
Can I just say....I LOVE THIS MAN SO MUCH!!! 😍❤❤❤
I want him to whisper in my ear “Long live the King” 😩😩😩😩😫
will always be a legend for playing scar
All I Can Hear is Scar Here With Jeremy’s Voice Hahahahaha!
If I close my eyes I see Scar sitting on that couch giving an interview.
gotta love that man!
The moment you realize that he wasn't voice acting in The Lion King, it's just his completely normal voice.
Jeremy’s Voice As Scar is Awesome!
I want him to be in all batman movies and when they invade the batcave or the mansion and he starts shooting fools with his shotgun cause everyone knows alfred when it comes down he will take out someone to protect bruce
He is so handsome.. I mean really hot!! Wow
Everytime i hear his voice I think of Scar just makes me wish he would have played Scar again in the 2019 remake
Same and If Jeremy Voiced Scar In Remake I Would Had Been So Thrilled!
All I can imagine is scar getting interviewed
Everyone saying "oh his voice would be so different now, he couldn't play scar again." Well here ya go! Perfect scar voice still. And so much better then the new one.
I have seen that excuse to him not being Scar again too. He's too old now, yet James Earl Jones is like 18 years older (give or take) than Jeremy and he can reprise his role? Lol nonsense. As proven in this video.
2:13- I melted.
His voice is very charismatic for the real world.
He still sound Scar here😂🦁❤ I watch Lion King last night it was great but I still Want Jeremy Irons for scar voice no bitterness🥰🦁🙌
I can’t believe I’m just now finding this. I love this man even more now
His voice ugh.. Can I be his lolita?
Moonlight Bae girllll
Damn it young lady!
Long live… THE KING
If I remember correctly, in the 90's cartoon we learn Alfred was ex-British Forces (can't remember the exact branch), so it was nothing new to me. There was even an episode where he used his old skills, I think. Plus it's been mentioned numerous times he was a military medic.
His voice just sounds so uhhhhh i love the timbre of it
Jeremy Irons should create an ASMR TH-cam channel though.
My favorite ACTOR! I like him very much sinds The beginning his carrière 💕💌(Belgium 2019)
When I first saw the Lion King, I was probably about 13... I admired Scar, because he has the coolest voice and amazing lines. I didn't really care about anyone else but Timon and Pumba. 😂

His voice is just the best thing ever
I've always looked like him like an older Robert Downey Jr. especially in BvS.
Gerwin Eric he has the sass part down
I’ve always looked at him as Scar.
am i the only know knowing him from Lolita 1997
Why Disney recast Scar if he is still alive ? Having James Earl Jones as Mufasa is good but not having Jeremy Irons as Scar ruin the movie.
Disney wanted an ALL BLACK CAST>>... THOSE RasCIsts motherFUCKERS... LITERALLY THEY RUINED THE WHOLE MOVIE
Cutting Be Prepared was the worst decision in a Disney movie and that’s saying something given how many stupid decisions TLJ made.
XD
Humbert Humbert 💜
Too bad Jeremy Irons didn't come back to voice Scar in the 2019 version of the Lion King. He was perfect as Scar.
He wanted to, but Disney didn't let him
Oh my gosh his voooooice! Scaaaar
Anyone remember that bad-ass Alfred from Beware the Batman? haha
All of us 90s kids only hear Scar no matter what lol the most powerful toned voice we ever heard as kids next James earl jones as mufasa
And one more that instantly came to mind. ""I'm surrounded by idiots"
He was so lovely and beautiful in Brideshead revisited 💋😍😍
Had to google “sweltering” after this interview
His style in BvS and Justice league was excellent
PLEASE watch him on Dead Ringers you wont regret it
"Oh that wwaass today. .
Mm. Mustave slipped my mind"
It is a tragedy that he is not Scar in the new (inferior version) of Lion King.
Damn right
Yeah Iron's Scar was probably one of the best parts of the original Lion King, to have Jones as Mufasa and not Irons as Scar hurts even more because it was so close to being awesome but just falls short and fails miserably
The 1994 Scar is the best Disney Villain HANDS DOWN
@@talkswithtad2330 Absolutely.
@@talkswithtad2330, 100%. Frollo is 2nd for me, then Maleficent
*LONG LIVE THE KING*
All I hear is "Run away, Simba! Run away and never return!"
I hear scar 😍😍
No wonder batman said "This is alfred . I work for him"
Hey TH-cam, just because I like Jeremy Irons, that doesn't mean I want dozens of recommendations from Seth Meyers.
And this answers when Batman said :"Everyone this is Alfred, I work for him." :D
Alfred is earning the big bucks!
Loong live the *KING*
Batman is nothing without Alfred
Who was your inspiration for the character you played in Lolita? Roy Moore?
I think the original novel provided plenty of material to creep from...
Hey Humbert, where's Lolita? 🤣
He’s back in a flash
MY ALFRED
I see Tywin’s brother that was never there in Game of Thrones!
Sounds like Scar and Zazu talking.
The Guy in the Chair!
Daddy Jeremy needs his own youtube channel
th-cam.com/video/fM7qXaJIAwQ/w-d-xo.html
Ok but aside from Alfred and Scar, What about Humbert from Lolita?
All I hear is " oooUuoo. And I qivver with fff-airrr"
50% Lion King
50% Alfred character
This voice
Long live the king
Top 3 Jeremy Irons' Roles
1st Chief Morlock
2nd Alfred
3rd Scar
Scar should be First tho
Whenever I hear I’m speak all I imagine is scar talking
His voice is very similar to Albert Wesker from Resident Evil Games
If Scotch could speak, it would sound like him.....So expensive 😍
Like a frigidaire! I'm suddenly getting visions of gin drinking monocle wearing hipsters augh
Can’t believe they didn’t ask this man to be scar in the remake smh
OOOOOOHHHHHHHH I QUIVER WITH FEAAAAAARRRRRGGHHHH!!!
