Cork Cycling: Ballycotton Arrival. 4K

  • Arriving at the attractive fishing village of Ballycotton in County Cork, Ireland. It overlooks Ballycotton Bay and has a sandy beach that stretches for about 25 kilometres east to Knockadoon Head. It has a lighthouse offshore on Ballycotton Island and also contains an RNLI lifeboat station that was established in 1858.
    Recorded on a helmet-mounted GoPro10 camera on the 16th July 2024.

    outstanding, I was wondering how safe it is to ride a bike around Ireland.

      Thankfully, I've never had any issues with other traffic. Probably that just means that I’m lucky! I find it more comfortable to cycle in the countryside than in the cities and try to find quieter roads. Have you any particular areas that you’d like to explore?
