Gran Canaria Cycling: Monte León descent 4K

Monte León, to the north of Maspalomas, is a classic example of the old adage about 'rich folks who live on the hill'. There are a number of impressive haciendas perched high up on a mountain top, all with spectacular views down to the sea. This video captures some of the buildings and shows the panoramic views.
Two items are noteworthy:
(1). People who have watched other videos of mine on TH-cam may be aware that, even though I love cycling in mountains, I am uncomfortable with some heights and find it difficult to veer close to sheer drops. At 06:35 I suddenly became alarmed as I found myself cycling along a very narrow ridge with nightmarish drops on either side. That may explain why I suddenly slow down!
(2). Shortly after I leave the ridge, you'll notice cars parked on the left of the road. Be aware that they are only a meter or two away from an absolute sheer drop into the valley below!! You would want to be very sure of your parking skills. And making certain that you don't leave the gears in reverse!!
