Thank you! At 4:40 when you are viewing the "Quick Actions" Is there a way to customize those layouts in outlook. For example, I have required fields for cases that I would like to be displayed in my outlook view. Right now the default only shows a few fields and I'm not sure how I can show my required fields in order to actually be able to save the case from Outlook.
Hi Kathryn, have you tried creating a new action with the layout you need and adding this new action to your email application publisher? Custom action could work better for you instead of using standard one.
For some reason in our activity panel there is now Contact creation option, only Lead and Task? Anyone know how to get the option to create a new Contact into the "+" menu?

Hi Isaac, thanks! Have you looked into creating update actions and adding them to the 'email application publisher layouts'? Action layouts can be configured in any way you want.

I currently have an outlook email that has been integrated into Salesforce. So basically all campaigns that we send out come from this specific outlook email. I wanted to change that email to a different one (i.e I want to change the "from" email people receive in a campaign).
Can you please let me know how to do this? I cannot find an answer anywhere because under "my email settings" in salesforce lightning the "send through office 365 connected email account" is greyed out with the old email address and does not allow me to change it.

Hi Joe, have you tried setting up a user in SF for general comms/integration and give this user the new email address, or setting up a new outlook integration? Or what if you change your email settings to 'send through salesforce' and fill out the new 'from' details?

Hi Agnes, salesforce have an issue with defining a 'new contact' button because it can be linked to different record types. Worth raising this question in salesforce community for more responses. Good luck!
Hi, we've completed the outlook integration for our org but I was curious as to how many users were actually using it to create new contacts in Salesforce. Is there a way to know? Also is this outlook integration going away in Summer 2024?
Hi there, yes Salesforce are retiring 'Salesforce for Outlook', and users can't create new records from Outlook's side panel. SF removed 'new records button.
However, you can still sync SF with Outlook if you use 'Outlook Integration' and 'Einstein Activity Capture'. And if you use it, then my guess is that you can have a default value in a field like 'source' to show Outlook. You could update it in your publisher layout.
Salesforce for Outlook is an older product. It is different to Outlook Integartion and Einstein Activity Capture.

Hi Alexis! You must enable 'let users access Salesforce from Outlook' (go to 0:45 min in this video), also it is only suitable to paid Office356 accounts so yes each users will need a Microsoft license. Once this is sorted you can run user mapping in Salesforce and see which users can access this feature.

Hi Rohit! Yes it should, double check your sync settings. See if you have SF to Outlook or both ways, also check if you have selected not to sync private tasks.

Hi Ruby, maybe your sync isn't working both ways / bi-directional syncing. If that's the case you just need to adjust your settings

Hi Minal, sorry haven't tried myself. Perhaps, you can find files within salesforce console in outlook and attach them manually..

Hi Sabina, thank you. See if you can add them as new actions under 'email application publisher layouts'. Or you could add availability to tasks then you can track tasks/email logs.
