Utopia gave everyone that's actually creative hope to be creatives again and still feel you can make it. We no longer we have to feel we need to be cookie cutter to have a fighting chance any more.
I like that perspective. It's cool to see risks taken at such a high level
Bro, yes 🙏I felt the same way. Be authentic and unique 🔥 what an amazing thing to take away from Utopia
@@TheRealDahli right on 🙏🏾
@@NavieD yezzir. Travis did us a favor stepping out of this generic wave everyone wants to surf
I recommend all of you go listen to Scaring The Hoes from JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown because after listening to that, I can’t help but feel like Utopia isn’t as creative as people hype it up to be. You will never hear another song like Steppa Pig or Garbage Pale Kids.
wondagurl is so so underrated, deserves all her flowers right now, played such a big role in travis and don tolivers career and for trap music in general
Why am I watching Karim Benzema analysing Travis Scott's music
The rhythm of the percussion in lost forever is very common in west african music.
It’s insane that this album is primarily based off older samples cause it sounds like a lot of the samples were created from scratch recently because of how modern it sounds in todays music.
@@athe6thfacts!!
listening to them it's crazy how good the mixing on the album is too, to make them sound so clear and punchy
MIKE DEAN THE GOAT WHEN IT COMES TOO MIXING THESE SHORTA MAXIMALISTIC PROJECTS!@@user-qt1ti8tq8d
Bumping Utopia on a daily and it still grows on me. Even tho there are some sections which i dont like, i'd say its a great Album. And from the production side it definitely raises the bar
Yeah the production is top level
I think that just like Kanye inspired a young generation with 808's, a lot of artists in a few years from now will say that this album has inspired them.
This album was inspired by Yeezus so yet again Kanye has been inspiring with his projects that he released more than 10 years ago
That sample in sirens has people in my country going crazy😂🔥
My hips wouldn't stop moving first time I heard it loool
Good video as always bro. I like what they did with the hi hats on Gods Country also. They have a very nice rhythm. My Eyes is one of my favorite songs off the album just because it’s so different. Travis has always thought outside the box. His music breaks all the genre lines.
Yeah he's one of the few larger artists who I actually look out for
@@NavieD for sure. The amount of effort that goes behind a Travis Scott Album is more effort than mainstream rappers put behind their whole careers and it shows.
@@williamwilkinson4756for sure . Travis and ye are the only super mainstream hip hop artists I really look forward
Karim Benzema giving us a masterclass in production
love your videos, really amazing
thanks for sharing the knowledge 🔥
thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, you're awesome!!!!
Really good video my guy need more🙏🏾🙏🏾
Great beat at the end! I can picture Travis using that for sure 👍🏽
these vids are actually the most helpful on yt bro tysm
Great video & beat at the end!🤘🏼🔥
*your production is another level mann✨🔥✨🔥KEEP IT UPPP!*
An excellent video as always Navie. Thanks for all your effort!
Great breakdown/video man 🫡
Brilliant breakdown thank you
Un grand merci a BIG thanks from France it was amazing to learn about the instrumental on the Utopia album. I LOVE IT thank you again and I wish you the best.
I love the way you explain the tricks used in drum parts! Coming up with an original drum pattern that also works well in the context of the song is legit one of the hardest things to do, but also one of those things that make the song immediately stand out (which is the case with most songs on Utopia). I'd definitely love to see more of that!
Thank you for this one bro. I‘m really impressed on how you made your own beat, like fr. One of the best Utopia type beats I‘ve heard.
dude awesome video!
Bro you going crazy…. This dope af!
You’re the best for putting out content out like this you don’t know how much your videos have informed me as a young producer
Nice job on that beat you made at the end of the video, sounds really unique. Appreicate you Navie!
my favourite utopia video thank you man
Serato studio has the best stem separation tool I have I ever used.
You really out here doing gods work bro 💪
Great Job
thank you NAVIE D you now have my subscription. this will help me a lot.
you're a legend for showing that sample website blessings
man Benzema makes video essays now?
u so funny
Thank you so much its sooooo helpful
Amazing video
Great video! Been experimenting with stem splicing with Spleeter, which is free, for quite some time now (a couple years). Wasn't perfect at the time, but got the job done - glad to see it's a technology that's used more now
good video, subscribed
These type videos are insanely helpful
Reminds me of early kid cudi beats. Utopia def gonna be a gem years down the road
I love your title bro. So positive
Thanks for the tips Navie! +1 sub
This breakdown inspired me to dive deeper into traditional African music. A lot of drum patterns to be borrowed from. This album was definitely interesting and inspiring.
Buen video benzema
Utopia the greatest album I've ever heard. I am learning as a producer, and it is helping me shape into what sound I want to make. This break down from you was incredible.
Mhen you’re blessed for Analyzing this process relatively ❤❤❤❤
Love your videos and teaching style. Please do a tutorial on serato sample.
good video, really 🙌🏼
Thanks benzema♥️♥️
Your beat at the end is fire
I just happy to see someone as big as Travis Scott using samples in their songs in 2023. So many people hate on samples. They don't understand how many songs actual use them.
I LOVE U FOR SHOWING ME VOCALREMOVER I WILL DEFINTLY KEEP WATCHING YOU
One of the best, your explaining bro thats what i mean
god i love your videos so much
I love you so much
Cool video
Glad to see That kalindula and Zamrock will potentially be more appropriated cause of Sirens, but s/o to sampa the great for putting it on the map🔥🔥
Zambia has a lot to offer🦅🔥🔥
Is this a good thing or a bad thing
@@wakisamuloboka9804 Last 🔥🔥🔥
@@NavieDit's a good thing sir, coz our country 🇿🇲 is getting recognized 🔥
thank youuuuuu
Utopia feels like a stepping stone. I think we’re in travis’ time now
ammazing navi D ..i hop to much in future you are genius 👍👍👍👍👌👌💪💪
🧠
great video karim
benzema
Wow navie is becoming my fav creator now
Thank you benzema
I love you navie
Insane, the producers are geniuses
This reminds me a little of your Timbland Alyaha video.
In sirens the hi-hats percussion was made with in the kalindula format which is the same type of music the original sample was trying to embody
So glad you're talking ab this! ngl hearing the album I immediatly thought of Kanye's production.
Ty
great video! also u kinda look like benzema ! love that one of the greatest players
They way you break down all these beat patterns and sound structures from most of his songs from utopia is just mind boggling. Like it's almost as complicated given the fact there's more than two producers for each song. Big ups man 🔥
we need more like a part 2
actual useful vid
Production is crazyyy
thanks benzema
You gotta make a vid about Kenny Segal, specifically his beats for Hiding Places and Maps
this is INSANE
I gotta say wow. this is awesome seeing some of these tracks broken down is unreal and the beat u created with the trav influence that shit is The Shit.
I just love the fact that Travis Scott sampled a song from my country Zambia 🇿🇲 on Sirens. 🔥🔥🔥
that beat in the end is crazy
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you bro, you make this so easy to learn 💪
Ayy awesome man
video perfeito 🔥🔥🔥
What makes those 2000‘s P diddy guitar beats (like need a girl part 2) so unique and fire?? Could you make a video on that?
Those HHs on Lost Forever almost sound like some snare/brush combo
I’ve actually tried this type of sampling (although not as good) and it’s kind of fun. You get rearrange every element of the original sample
much needed vid
I hope it helped
@@NavieD always ! u neva disappoint, professor
this is a good ass video 🔥
Great job deconstructing those tracks and its sauce!! 🔥🙏 Keep up the awesome work dude!
Using space in music like this is the reason I always felt Linkin Park was so good. So much little details and the variety of it is amazing.
Damn Bro u look like Karim BENZEMA I swear..
Anyway nice video bro 🔥
Remarkable video. Where did u get the drum sounds from
🔥🔥🔥
The sample splicing reminds me of 9th Wonder’s style who learned from Pete Rock which although he did do the same, 9th took it farther.
Ye's Work
I think they made great uses for these beats lol . Bro used to the same sample in 3 different applications to get different sounds
That sample reconstruction technique as you showcase it, may be new, but it's roots lie in remixing or seperating a sample into layers. That's something I hope everybody who watches these types of vids always keeps in mind, never discard "old techniques" because there may come a point in time where you can reapply them with new tools to create something innovative. That's why I like when some of your videos show off old-school techniques, because I feel like a lot of newer producers lack the connection to those.
So what's your point here
Good video and you look like benzema
Damn I was using a technique before Travis Scott did that's sick
Thanks for this amazing breakdown!
Ps: are you in some way related to Football Player Karim Benzema? Because you two look a like
