Update: Shericka's therapist said on instagram that it's a hamstring cramp that they are now working on. So it doesn't sound too serious, hope she is healthy for Paris. Her 3rd Olympics and I'd love for her to get an individual title. Congrats to Julien on a good race, she's been running well all season
We all know that was not a cramp,because usa men have had those injuries as well
Well, i think Shericka saw Julien passing her and she just found it useless to go on.
Anyway, this is a poor time by athletes who are not fully fit yet.
Shericka is ready, but Julien does not look so easy. I saw her struggle.

That said, the way she pulled up didn't look like direct injury that looked as the commenter said only a slight hop...if her therapist said what they said then she okay...shericka isn't 100% fit though

yup...she should make the best of her opportunities now as athletes tend to do well one season and the other they burn out and not 100% so for her to be injury free now, at olympics should give it her all cause next year isn't gonna be guaranteed..especially when the athletes who see unfit get fit next season...

@@oyiinnocent424 Yes. However watching the race on WA website I don't think it's anything serious because she didn't grab her leg or fall on the track. Also she maybe running to her coach instruction.
Her not grabbing her leg doesn’t mean it’s not serious. It’s obvious the issue is her leg. It’s not a full on tear and we know that because she didn’t fall to the track. But even a strain or a pull a few weeks before the Olympics is a serious issue.

With lots of pressure from Julien coming down the stretch, Shericka looked like she mentally gave up: she jogged (about 15 steps) down the track then hopped. Julien was near even with her @0:14 and Shericka tried to shift to 5th-gear and just couldn't (maybe the cramp). Shericka has the experience and ability, can't count her out.

Agree about Gabby if Shericka is injured. Alfred ‘might’ medal in the 200, but she should definitely medal in the 100, I have her as second favourite after Richardson in that.
It would be incredibly special to see McKenzie Long grab a medal in Paris, at least this time she will be Fresh and full focus on the 200m without any 100m rounds in her legs like back at the US Olympic Team Trials where she doubled up and ran 100m & 200m.
