This is what #shacarririchardson kept saying as of late. And with her wins so far this season in #trackandfield, she might actually be better than she ever was. And that’s something, given that she’s considered to be a fast-rising athlete in her teens, especially when she emerged on the national stage, winning the AAU Junior Olympics as a 16-year-old, which then cemented her as the No.1 ranked sprint recruit in the U.S. class of 2018.
Now, after a couple of controversy-filled years, Shacarri Richardson is back on the track to claim her title of being one of the greatest sprinters in the world. However, a few days ago, she suffered a defeat in the women's 100m event for the first time in 2023.
Sha’Carri Richardson was defeated by #JulienAlfred at the Gyulai István Memorial in Szekesfehervar, Hungary.
That said, let’s talk about who Julien Alfred is. Well, she is a Saint Lucian sprinter who won the silver medal in the 100 meters at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She is also the joint North American indoor record holder for the 60 meters, and was the first woman in the NCAA to break the seven-second barrier over the 60 m. But of course that’s not all. She has a long list of awards, which I won’t delve into, as it will take too much time. And I mean, TOO MUCH.

I have been tuned for 5 years. Paris 2024. Medal at both 100 and 200. I have no clue about 100, but 200 gold will be at world record level. Gaby, Shericka and Julien. But I cannot tell in what order. Shericka has so many medals already...i love Gaby so much...but Sainte Lucie is so small..so,GO Julien ❤

Sha’Carri is better then last year but I want to see her race in the championship with all the Jamaicans, now I like Julian, she’s quite, strong runner and making moves in track and field! No fancy hair, lashes or outfits, just a underdog making a lot of noise in track and field.

USA! Great props to Julien Alfred for her wins. I guess the Jamaicans are still talking about getting better and when they heal. I hope they now know the US will be busy doing the same thing.

The key to Sha'carri, winning is her start. She must put it together before, the world's championships. The best way to do this is practice w a live track gun/artificial crowd noise. The timing/hearing must be in proper balance to hv a great start. Practice..practice..practice until, you msster it then, just go win. If, she's healthy and injury free she can win the 100m/200m wm final. The start is the key to victory in the 100m.

Sha carri is a winner, the way media has bashed her even when they compliment her and her mom passing being so young she is awesome and half of them could not be focused enough like she has been going thru all that at that age. Imagine if she'd been praised from the start til now. Her confidence would be unmatched. We already know the one thing this world hates is a so called black believing in themselves and speaking out. You see it in Mike tyson, AB, Floyd, Clarisa, Wilder, charlos, Ali, Jack Johnson, Deion Sanders, Tank, Bud, Errol, but they love the quite ones who say nothing like AJ Usan bolt, etc. But w fury, Connor, who talk that same talk its fun and sportsmanship. They love it, its called competitivness. Funny , usyk was dancing, rapping and so confident and when he loss which he did, they made excuse for him. Sprinters have a training progression that may have them lose some meets because they are focusing on only 1 aspect of their training. This is nothing to worry about for Richardson.
It's the fans who are clueless about the competition,anyone can win once they break into the first 20s.

Shacarri ran a slow race. It happens. Julien didn't really run a fast race either. This time won't cut it in Budapest
This is pretty much a open and shut case till Richardson fixes her start. Julien has that down as you can tell from her 60m records. Sha'carri as a ton of work to do before she can win consistently. However it's good for track and field that she's running better this year.

@@Fm4lg Julien just turned pro, case is far from closed. Just her making to the finals says alot about her. Also ran the college season this year which is alot more draining on the body far as races go vs the pros.
