The bike was made by Bombardier, a Québec company, and the engine was made by Rotax from Austria. I have had a TNT175 like this as a teenager. I was the horsepower ''king'' among my friends with 100/125cc japanese dual purpose bike. Great memories!
These bikes are fast. Friend of mine had the same bike the bike ripped I had TNT 175 and that ripped but couldn't keep up with him. Great times for dirt bikes
At my hometown sandpitthe biggest gnarliest hill no one could make it to the top except the Can-Am MX 370 and that’s how it got its name Can-Am Hill I could climate no problem with my CR 500 though but the Can-Am was first to the top every sandpit should have a Can-Am hill
And don't remember what year it was but went to a hare scramble at fort Devons Massachusetts back in the day. Sure enough Ellis showed up with one of his factory can am 250s smoked every body.

I had a new MX-1 when they first came out. I stupidly sold it because I wanted a 360-RM. dumbest move ever. The TNT was never as fast as the MX-1. Different gearing different powerband. MX-1 would run away from a stock TNT
love the can am as much as the old huskies
Ahh the sweet smell of 2 stroke on a snowy day. What a weapon of a time machine. God bless
Cool thing was Jimmy Ellis from CT on the can am race team.
I saw three Can-am's a 250 MX & 2 175 MX's
Also will say as great as the bikes are today, reliable, powerful, etc I do miss the 70s and all the brands that were out there.
I remember watching this bike being raised when I was a kid they Can-Ams were badass
That thing sounds awesome

My friend had a 1978 250MX Canam and his cousin had the Harley 250MX 250 1978.
