      @@Jigaboo123456 well tigers aren’t exactly social animals so I don’t think they’d be likely to nibble you at all to show affection, where as with a lion I’d wager they would probably nibble to show affection since they are very social.

    I have 3 Magpies who cannot go back to the wild.
    They're so sweet and when I am depressed or in pain they come and snuggle with me :)
    ( 1 has 1 eye and 1 leg )
    ( 1 has 1 full wing and one half and one leg )
    ( One has 1 eye and 1 full wing and 1 half wing)
    If you feed magpies but not feed them to much they tend to not swoop humans who give food and they let the other magpies know.
    Been with me 10 years there so well trained they have a poop bucket and sleep with me on my bed and sit on me watching movies. ( Hehe some mornings there on there backs with wings out and like Bloop.

    Our Maggie used to have the milkman chasing it for his money . Maggie used to wait on the step to grab the money out of the jar as he got to our place .
    She’d sing and wait for him to chase and she would fly off for a few metres and sing at him again . It was always hilarious . But a bit embarrassing for mum . The milko thought it was funny . She obviously liked him .

Hope she keeps returning and someday brings her young one's by to learn to trust you as well... . Good luck.

    I love the story of Maggie - I saw your earlier vid when she was little, and would hang upside down. Good lord she is huge, now! Amazing relationship. So sweet. Typical Magpie - try's to get the watch...then the shoelaces..then a tummy rub.

  • @emperorofpluto
    @emperorofpluto ปีที่แล้ว

    So good to see a wild rescue thriving. That enclosure is awesome and she must love the mealworms. Australian Magpies are remarkable birds - highly intelligent, playful and even compassionate. An experiment a few years ago designed to track the movements of wild Australian magpies using GPS trackers in harnesses ultimately proved that they are also strategic problem solvers capable of team work, empathy and compassion: within the first half hour of the experiment one of the magpies had worked out how to remove the harness and then proceeded to help other members of the flock to remove theirs. Although the experiment failed to track their movements it demonstrated a revolutionary form of avian intelligence - no other bird species had ever demonstrated that kind of cooperation before. They're even more unique because - unlike Northern Hemisphere Magpies - they are not corvids (like crows and ravens) but more closely related to butcher birds.

    It's fantastic to see her all grown up. Our Marjory Gerkin is 16yo now and still acts like a chick most of the time ( Except for the mating season where he loses his mind and hates everything with a passion) . He likes to do impressions of other birds including an old neighbours car alarm. He also loves those mealworms and will act like a baby if he see's the container coming.

Seems men spend more time trying to kill, including each other, than making any attempts to be friendly. The animal kingdom are much more intelligent and loving than we ever give credit for. Such amazing wild creatures God has given us to both teach and learn from if man could be more kind and patient with them.
