    Making it blue actually makes sense. A good chunk of ppl won't be able to tell the difference between yellow and orange on a TV screen, same for fans in upper tiers of big stadiums.

      It's also not supposed to be an 'in between card'. It's more severe than yellow cards sometimes, and less severe when it would otherwise be a second yellow.

      Exactly. The colour is the least ill-thought-out part of this doomed concept. Use red and yellow cards properly, please!

    I totally agree with the point where if a player is "sin binned", the opposing team will become very defensive. However, what if there is a possibility where this further encourages the team with the advantage to have their players try to run at and take on players more often, instead of trying to do 300 passes to no avail. We may see multiple players get sin binned making for intriguing moments.

      they do this in Hockey and Bandy as well.. yet still players complain to the refs and still get sent off. i agree with Brian here! there is no reason to make the simple game of football more complicated. i get that it makes sense in other sports, but football aint the one. we have the yellow and red card for a reason.

    I’m a rugby fan and don’t watch football much these days, one thing I’ll say whenever I do watch football even now compared to rugby the treatment refs get from players is disgusting (and I say that because rugby refs aren’t treated as well as they used to be) dissent should be punished far more, at the end of the day they’re doing a job, and they don’t deserve to be treated badly

      I watch both to, I agree that I hate when 3/4players rush up to the ref & stock their fingers in his face, it's childish af. Refs do need more respect, but the standard &way they treat players is also at a shocking level. In rugby the ref will always talk to a player, & is always available to the captain, if a decision is made they will explain why whether it's a try being awarded ir not, why it was a yellow not a red etc, if it's an issue with a player that doesn't warrant a card they will talk to them or tell the captain to, like a good parent, as its nothing serious but needs to be stopped as if not it will lead to something.l, like there's no way diego gets sent off in the Derby for swooning his arms (& I'm not man u fan), its petty af, he's frustrated. They talk with his upstairs to come to a decision together. Many of these soccer refs have far to big an ego, I barely ever see them move their mouths when players do surround them, they just stand there, maybe point a finger to go away. They do need to be treated better, but only after they pull their own fingers out of their as

    How about stopping the clock every time the ball is out of play or when a player flops and writhes in fake agony instead of another card?? I think deliberate time-wasting is one of the most annoying things in football today!!

    • @LifenKnight
      @LifenKnight 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not time wasting VAR is already in every single football game ever.
      Its just adding it correctly to the real game.

    • @kurtsudheim825
      @kurtsudheim825 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, but you need to be punished for it, that's about keeping time, isn't going to stop players from vomiting a cynical foul of you just pause the click. It's also logistically impossible to stop the clock every time a single infraction is made & gameplay stops for 3 secs. Even in rugby they only pause the clock for a major stoppage

    So what happens once a keeper gets a blue card? Then you have to get a on field player must change shirts and gloves, this will slow down the game.

    • @LifenKnight
      @LifenKnight 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Same, that would happen if they had a red card.
      Also it shouldn't slow down the game.
      I play a card game with my friends, we added a rule and the games speed didn't change at all.
      The management of th game itself sucks.
      Even if blue card was a good idea(which is it), the refs being terrible and VAR being slow is an overall problem with the management of the game itself and not a problem with the game.
      VAR is the perfect idea and should always be a thing, if they can't use it correct fire them.
      Making the correct decide and fast should give them boost pay.
      Being slow and wrong should decrease their pay or reduced any increased pay from good decides.

    • @kurtsudheim825
      @kurtsudheim825 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That'll rarely happen, because a gk isn't going to perform a cynical foul in the middle of the pitch. & yes, just like when a gk is sent off with no substitute left, an outfield player will take over, unless there's less than 10min & they do have a sub left

    Blue cards, ffs. So players have to sit on the naughty step? VAR officials will waste 5 mins reviewing every incident to decide if a player should be sin-binned for 10 minutes, on top of all the other stoppages. Matches are going to drag on for 3 hours! If the powers that be are hellbent on introducing sinbins, the blue card should replace yellow cards entirely, with no VAR intervention.

    Need to have it for dissent IMO. In rugby there’s men filled with way more testosterone and they have to manage that and respect the referee, which takes pressure off the refs as they know they can’t be pushed around, which in turn makes them do their jobs better.
    I guarantee a couple guys get sent off for 10 minutes for being a dick to the ref and players start having to work their bollocks off every week cos you’re down to 10 or 9 for 10 minutes constantly….the players will start keeping a lid on it and if not their teammates will make them.
    Half the time taken is players complaining to refs about decisions in the first place🤣

    They just the in cynical fouls so people didn't focus on the descent. & I don't like players bombsrding a ref, 3/ getting right up to him with their fingers right in his face, yes like rugby they're needs to be more respect to them, but they also a) need to do a better job like rugby refs, who aren't perfect but hey far less wrong, & they work with bar to come to a decision that they all agree upon. & they talk to players & captains showing them respect as well, & b) only if the player steps out of line do they into "parent mode". & this os for a game with fat more aggression & pace. Far to many refs have way to big egos, I mean sending diego off in the derby, for swinging his arms, when that's mostly frustration, is embarrassing af. & then next game you see nothing

    VAR at least in theory makes sense and can possibly produce better decisions.
    This is an incomprehensibly bad idea. In theory and in practice. It would ruin football.
    What makes football so much better than rugby, NFL, boxing, cricket, golf and so on, is that it’s fast-paced. It’s not stop-start with constant breaks.
    The changes that have already been made, and are still being proposed, are designed to kill the momentum of the sport.
    When you look at the backpass rule, that was a rule designed to increase the intensity and entertainment of football, and it worked. We should be looking to make changes that will increase the intensity of football.
    For example, if you want to stop timewasting, then add a stop-clock for when the ball is out of play. This immediately, overnight, eradicates timewasting from the sport. It would cease to exist, it’s that simple. Yet the FA wants to try and remove timewasting in the most convoluted, counter-productive ways possible.

    These guys lost the plot. Just bc football is a game of emotions, doesn't give players the right to act like complete children and twats at times. If they wanted the game to become more fluid, they would want the blue card to stpo players from faking injuries etc.....

    More rule changing nonsense! It’s getting worse than F1 with so many constant changes every season. Blue card / sin bin FFS! 🤦🏻‍♂️ These clowns are ruining the beautiful game.

    Blue Cards will make the game way more exciting. Have 2 players in the bin and you'll have way more goals

      Why not make it like basketball, make the goals 50 yards wide so every game will be 120-114 just like in the NBA

    I don't want to be a Debbie downer . But it's already ruined. 1 club left that plays tiki taka in the whole world. All other clubs play kick n rush now. Good job English lads. You invented football and killed it too. You thinks speed is entertaining. FOOTBALL IS A PASSING GAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

      So you think Tiki taka was the original way of playing, that it's the only way to play? You don't think every generation there's a new style of play that dominates? Interesting

      Mate are you seriously trying to say teams like Man City passing the ball around the opponent’s box for 20 minutes and scoring a tap in is more entertaining than high-speed rushing like Liverpool? Get a life lad.
