Thank you! I have watched no less than 50 of these die cut specific videos. You are the first to actually explain ‘the why’ behind copying the offset layer 3-4 times then merging with the design. So many people just say to do without explaining the reason which makes me question the necessity of a step. Now I understand the extra copy layers are basically telling the cricut to cut again & again automatically so it cuts all the way through the material. No reloading machine necessary. Thanks again! 🎉
You can change the colour of your work space so we can see the offsets clearly using the blank canvas option just above the attach tool and the colour box. Thank you for your video, it was insightful. 🤗🤗
I'm sorry. I don't understand how to actually have it do a die cut rather than the kiss cut. Is the offset what tells the machine to cut all the way through?
The kiss cut is made by only one pass of the blade (cutting just the sticker paper). The outside border is cut 3 times to create the die cut (going all the way through the paper).

Good to know! I will try that next time. It always seemed like a really bright workspace. 😊
Thankyou
so even though the offsets are the same size it will cut as a die cut? I am so confused LOL
You didnt show what settings you cut on. Would you please share that?
Yes, I share that here: th-cam.com/video/fnT8Sy9-bXs/w-d-xo.html!

Yes the offset that is duplicated 3 times is what creates the die cut.
how do you create the kiss cut?

Thanks.
