Warren G if it works through an OtterBox defender it'll work through anything
I'm an Iron worker so my working conditions dictate the strongest protection possible. I have been using otterboxes since s4. In fact my coworker dropped his phone with a defender case on from an 85 ft. Rafter phone was remarkable still in perfect condition. However I am concerned about lack of screen protector.
Do any of these cases feel slightly sticky or tacky on the edges? I like the feel of the old Mesh series,

the defend will clearly protect more, but its 3x as thick and also more expansive, i think it goes on your experience and how often do you happen to drop your phone, it worth remembering that the note 8 is already a huge phone, are you sure you want to make it that much bigger?

If you care about using your S pen like I do, a screen protector is a no-no.
