This is their tribute to the Japanese horror movie Rinne - Reincarnation. It's filmed like this, with the same feeling they trying to create here.

Band Maid songs are like an unconventional polyhedral puzzle. And they get to amaze the listener again and again.

Rin-ne is based on a 2008 Japanese horror flick of the same name wherein the serial killer films his victim's deaths in 8mm to be examined later for signs of the soul leaving the body. The eye reference is about the eyes being the windows to the soul. Saiki requested this video be recorded with 8mm film because she liked that flick. It's on their album,Conqueror,(2019) and listed as Reincarnation. The "Shut Up" at the end was directed at critics of the band.

There are so many songs you can say "they switch the melody" to. BAND MAIDs songs are always short - you can never get enough. BTW BAND MAID goes on US tour this year!!!!!!!

Rinne was off their 2019 "Conqueror" album. It was written to "Shut Up" the critics that were accusing them of being too "poppy"......and yeah it could have gone longer in time. They have gone way more "schizophrenic" on their now 1-year old latest album "Unseen World". Two songs they wrote for Anime themes are "Different" and Sense", not on an albums. But "Unseen World" is a step into the "Prog-Rock" world...IMHO. Good to see you back doing Band-Maid.
They are very easy to hear King Crimson, brilliant 21st Century Schizoid Women.
THE best Rock band in existence. Think that covers everything.

@@MinchosDonkeyKick3578 🤔 I always wondered why Gary Glitter was so fond of Asian tours. M.V were lip synch masters😆, even trying to lip synch to ( not their ) songs when their backing track malfunctioned at a live gig. One of the best bits of footage of all time :)

This is one of my favorite BAND-MAID songs. It's so good it kills me every time I hear it. But then Saiki screams "It's sink or swim!" in my ear and I'm reincarnated.
They can give you more melodies in three minutes than an ELP double album.

Hear way more metal from this then punk, especially the thrash drums of Akane.
